Hello hello hhindhi ane how are you today? Over today. You're great today. Yeah, I went to school and I see I seen some songs you were singing in school today. Oh, were you singing on your own or are you singing with a group, with a group, with a group? So like a choir? Yes, and that's amazing because anni used to be right. Do you know musicals? Do you know musical theatre? Do you know theatre and musicals where people sing on the stage? Like do you know frozen? Where they sing. Yeah. So my job, before this job, my job was to be a singer. And I used to sing on stage in shows. I used to love it. Yeah. Oh, that sounds like a great day. Hi, Angela. Are you okay? Yeah, Yeah. What have you been up to today? I been at school and I just got home. You've you've just got home. Literally just got home. What time is it there at four, zero, five, four, 5:00p.m.? Well, it's ltime here, Angela. It's lchtime here. I'm always about to have my lunch. And hi, bomou. How are you? I'm you're happy Yeah and why are you happy today mimu? Because. I have, I have a Chinese and in our class I miss only 100. That's amazing. Well done on your choh. My goodness, that's incredible. Hi George. You a. Hi, George. Hello, can you hear me? How are you, George? You're good. Yeah. What have you done today? Have you been to school today? Yeah, and I had music, you had a music class. So what were you doing in music class today? I play instrument, we playing piano, trumpet, violin. I play drums and on triangle. Oh, the drums. Whoa. I've wanted to play the drums forever. George. That sounds really cool. Hi, Jerry. Hi. Hi how are you this week? I'm good. Yeah and what have you been up to today? I went to school. Yeah the you've you've got to you had an injection. Oh, you were so brave. Did it hurt? Was it okay? Yeah. Did you go? Did you go fine? Oh, it was fine. Oh, you were. Oh goodness. Very well though. Oh, itkeep you safe? Itgive you nice and save Jerry. Well, welcome welcome welcome welcome welcome welcome but some new people we've got George who's new in our class now we've got Angela we're gonna be now today thinking about debating okay so can we remember what debating what's hands up if you can remember we talked about last week Oh George there get go on George what is debating? Fighting is like fighting over something by words. Excellent fighting over something. However, George, do I go? Teacher? Lisa, your hair is rubbish. So I think school homework should be banned. But do we have to fight differently? Any yes, we get to and Jerry, how do what do we do to try and win our argument? How do we win our our fight? We need to say our motions and we need emotion tions. We need emotion. Absolutely. We need emotion and we need to define it. We need to decide what are we actually arguing about? What are we debating about here? If it's about score, we shouldn't be talking about games. Yeah if we're talking about teachers, we shouldn't be talking about students. Okay. So it's making sure we're talking about the right thing. Well done. Yes moo, what else can we remember about debating? I think debating is one team fight another team and the one team is to say yes and the other team need to say no. And who is the winner? So who can? Who is the debate? Well done. Excellent. We need a chair person as well. Yeah we need someone to chair it. Otherwise, how do we stop time? How do we make sure no one actually argues? Yeah, well done, moo Angela. How am I going to win though? What do I have to do to win my team? You have to prove what you say is correct and the other team is wrong. Very well done. How am I going to prove it? You can prove it by lots of things like but. By telling the other team that why you think your team is right and the other team is wrong. Well done. Yeah, we could think about both sides. Yeah. Don't just think about your argument. Got to think about the other teams 's argument as well. Okay? And you could debate today on a team you don't agree with. So you've got to think about both sides of an argument. Okay? And what else do I need to do to be able to win? Can I just go, I think you're wrong. You score uniformgreat. Why will that not win? Adam, I need to say the reason. Yes. And tell that. What does it? It's wrong. And my reasonright well done. I need a reason. Yeah otherwise your debbatis not gonna work. Yeah, well done. Maybe well done. Jerry, Angela and George, nicely remembered. Yeah, I love this. So a debate did for people having different opinions and fighting politely. Yeah, we don't say I don't like your top, I don't like your face. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We are only fighting about the topic itself. So emotion the Yeah emotion the topic of what we're gonna to debate. We want to research our topic, define our topic, think about what are we actually arguing about? Are we arguing about how teachers feel? Are we arguing about how students feel? Are we arguing about an object? Or are we arguing about someone's thoughts and opinions? So got be careful. Okay? We don't want to make different arguments. We're going to make sure we understand what the debate actually is about. Okay? So for example, technology makes us more lonely. In this debate. We have to think about technology and its uses on what it does and how it could make us feel lonely. Okay? So we've got to think about what we're actually debating. So today's motion is teacher is the best job. So Angela, what's the point of our debate today? What are we trying to to argue about? Who do we have to think about trying to so we have to try to argue about is teacher the best job? Yeah. So whose feelings do we have to think of here? Whose perspective? The teacher. The teacher. Okay, well done, Angela moo, who do we not want to think about, perhaps in this motion? Who we whose feelings are we not thinking about? Just the teacher. Yes, well done. Mumu and Jerry. Who are we not thinking about in this though? What do we have to be careful? We don't end up fighting about seems like students, parents and the head teacher. Yeah, well done. Yeah. We're talking about the teachers. We can use perhaps how the head teacher is to the teachers. We can think about how parents are to teachers. We can think about what students do to teachers. We cannot, though, think from their point of view. That's not our motion today. Yes, George. What are you going to say, George? Not sure. Did someone say it? Someone already said your answer. That happens, George. So George, while you're here, what do we think we mean by best? The goodest. The goodest, the greatest. Okay, we wouldn't say goothis. We could say the greatest. Yeah. It's like the best job means it's the one that we absolutely could not think about not doing. Yeah, it's better than all the other jobs. Yeah, we've got to think about that today as well. Is it better than all the other jobs? And and when we're thinking about this motion today, what have we got to consider? What have we got to think about. The teacher, the best job we have to about and what do we have to think about when thinking about the best job? What kind of things do we want if it's the best job? Do we need to know other jobs? So what they do excellent and listed and. Who other job do we have to perhaps think about to decide if it's the best job? Whose job do we need to understand? Pictures fire, we could have to Yeah but mostly teachers, we need to understand what they do, what is their job? What kind of benefits or good things do they get from doing it? What should we find out? I've got a little video, okay, that's gonna show you all the good things and all the bad things about being a teacher. So let's have a look at this. Here we go. Hello and welcome to teachings in education, the pros and cons of teaching. Now let's separate this whiteboard into two equal halves. On the left, we're going to place the positives of a teaching career. We'll place the negatives that come along with teaching. Now if you ask most teachers what they enjoy most, vacation time would likely be the correct answer. Many teachers take time during their summer vacation to travel the world, see wonderful places as a negative. Most people don't realize all the paperwork that comes with teaching. Creating hundreds of essays, tests and quizzes isn't fun at all. Then comes the lesson planning and data tracking. All I have to say is 3:00. Teachers get out of work at 3:00, which usually avoids traffic and gets teachers home in time to see their children. The teaching profession is not one where you're gonna to become rich. Everyone seems to know that teachers don't make much money. Nevertheless, many teachers are forced to work a second and third job just to pay the bills. Not having financial security is a tough way to live now, although you won't get rich. D as a teacher, it is a very stable and secure job. Tenure is a special security afforded to teachers. Another negative of teaching is having to prepare students for standardized tests. Today, teachers are held responsible through standardized testing, which is a great deal of pressure. Teachers get to make use of their education. Many people go to college and don't do anything with their degree. They find different lines of work. Teachers, however, PaaS what they've learned on to others. Most jobs don't require you to bring your work home with you. Teachers will tell you that they are spending more and more time working at home. They are responding to emails, lesson planning, giving attention, etcea and so forth. Forming relationships with your coworkers is what I enjoy most. So I'll give a quick shout out to Mansfield, Dr. Helfant, gage, trek, sebula, everybody that I've met. And I'm sure as the teacher, you'll make some great connections as well. One of the toughest situations is teaching emotionally and behavioral students. Some students can be really aggressive, hurtful and outright dangerous. Yes, they are only children and we care about them, but they can still create pain and misery to a teacher. The best reason for being a teacher is that you get to be a hero to some of your students. In this job, you can actually make a difference in the lives of your students, which is an amazing feeling. One of the bad things about being a teacher. Is that you are under a microscope and held to a higher standard. One of the more practical reasons to become a teacher is the benefits that come with the job. Teaching jobs come with medical and dental benefits. Teachers in public schools get a pension, and most private and charter schools offer great 400 1K plans. People outside of education don't really understand how difficult and abusive parents can actually be. Parents will bulthreaten lie and go after a teacher just to ensure their son or daughter gets the grades they desire. And an added bonus of working in education is that you get to relive your school experience as a teacher. You get to go on field trip, play fun games with students and even attend Christmas parties. And lastly, teachers can become career stuck. Once you get a job as a teacher, there's really no room for career advancement unless it is as a school administrator. And to get that position, you need a whole different degree, which can be expensive. So here's the question pose, is it worth it to become a teacher? Well, now we're going to listen to what you guys think. I'm going to just take a little shot of this, just explaining some of the words you may not know. So tenure, okay, means that you have a job, Yeah and for as long as you want it. So tenure means no one can fire you, okay? It's a long contract. It gives you security, means that you are safe in your job, okay. Big part of in America, this is not for the uk. The uk works differently. We call them permanent jobs rather than tenure jobs. So if you hear those phrases, permanent means until I decide to leave, it's a permanent job and benefits. Again, in the uk, we do not have this as we have the nhs. But in the usa, then you want someone like an employer, your boss, for medical or dentistry, otherwise it costs a lot of money. But in the uk, it's free. So we don't have this in the uk. Okay, right. Let's begin with the positives. Jerry, do you not think that it's the best job in the world because teachers get lots of vacation time? I want to be the second one we're gonna to talk, we're gonna gonna get, you're gonna get, you're gonna get either side. But a way to think about the positives. Do you think that having vacation time makes it the best job? Make teacher a best job. No. Why Jerry, why do you think having vacation time is not making this the best job? Because the maybe someone's parents will talk about you about your bad things and you you won't be rich and you need to go home and work at home. You will need to work in the holiday time. Okay, yes. And you need to work. You need to have a lot of work paperwork, too much paperwork given on a vacation, students tax, students homework too much, very tired, and you won't be reached. Okay. So you think in vacation time they won't get the chance to be on vacation because I'll have too much writing to do, too much paperwork to do. Okay, Jeremy, love this, George. But they get six weeks off for summer, two weeks off for Christmas, two weeks off for Easter, three half terms. That's almost 16 weeks off. Is that not a great thing about being a teacher, having 16 weeks off in the year? I think this makes it the best job, George, having that much time off. Hmm, what do you think, George? I think it's not the best job because. People, because. Students can. Yes no while holiday teachers need to work and students don't need to work so they need to so do you not think they get all this time off? They don't get to have 16 weeks off. Yeah, not 16 weeks. Oh, why? Why are they not getting a full holiday? Why is their holiday still possibly working? Because. What do you think teachers have to do when they're 16 weeks off that mean and they've got they get 16 weeks off in the year? Yeah, that's a great, that's a positive of this job. But why do you think it still makes it not the best job in the world? That should make it the most amazing job in the world. But why doesn't it, George? Why do you still think now it's not the best job? Whatever. First, they still need to prepare on class. They still need to prepare for classes. Yes, that's gonna to be a problem. I don't want to do that on my holiday. Well then, muu, you had your hand up. What were you gonna to say? Oh, maybe I need to be. Go on. I think teacher need to be teacher, because teacher can be teacher can tell student what student need to do. So you think they're important? Mou, your sound is quite bad, as in we can't really hear you, momu, I don't know if it's worth going out of class and back in. It sounds like an aeroplane. E, maybe it's not mous, though. I know it was. Okay, Anne, let's move on from vacation time. Then you get to be a hero as a teacher. Does that not make it the best job in the world? If teachers the hero, then at home, the parents were called teacher to help the children use the homework. Oh, so you think actually that's perfect, mimo, thank you so much. If teachers were heroes, they maybe have to also do extra work. Okay. And why would this not make it the best job in the world then? It's very hard to do if your if you're high then you you have to do extra work, do extra work. So actually being a hero and people thinking you're a good teacher means you'll just have more work to do, means you'll be needed more often. Okay, so thatbe a problem. Okay, I hear you. I hear you. I'm gonna to come back to you in a moment, Jerry. I'm gonna hear what Angela's got to say. And Angela, I can relive my school days. I can go on school trips. I can go to Christmas parties. Does it not make it the best job in the world? I don't think so, because if you had other jobs too, you can do all those things just the same when so you think other jobs can offer that, other jobs can offer you trips and other jobs can offer you Christmas parties. Well maybe not that but if you don't be a teacher you can like do many things so you could do different jobs, different activities, maybe just as fun. Yeah okay, Angela, right? I can't I can't convince any of you here. Jerry, what are you gonna say? What I want say is even dead 16 weeks for holiday but maybe some work like can still have those 16 weeks if maybe if they didn't have 16 weeks, maybe they will almost have 20, twelve weeks. And if you be a teacher, you won't have, you won't be rich. And if you do, if you do some other good job, you will you will be rich. Maybe you be rich and you can see your future. Oh, so youhave more money also, I suppose all these vacations. Do I even have money to go on holiday? Think about that as well because you have money so you can you can go go out and to have a big trip or something like to to on holiday to went out of our country and go to the other country I see getting abroad. Yeah we can go abroad if we had more money. So maybe better holidays than a teacher has. Okay, I like this. I like this moo, so what do you think? Do you think teacher is the best job then muu? No. And why mmo, why are you saying no? Because the teacher need to do some extra work. And if the student didn't do their homework, teacher need to be tell, tell what is the answer? Okay, so they've got a lot of work, a lot of what we call pressure, stress. Oh, well done, mumthat's. A great answer. George. What do you think? Do you think teacher is the best job? What do you think, George? Do you think teacher is the best job? No, no, I'm it. Why do you think it's not the best job? No, because I'm. Teacher. Teachers need to go to school. Earlier than. Students went there on vacation? Oh, okay, can't. So they go to go to school earlier. Yes. Anything else any other reason why you think it's not the best job? Else do you think look at some of those examples. We've got bad students, bad behaviour from students, lots of work, you know, money, rude parents. Which one here, George, do you agree with? A lot of students aren't aren't good in class, so they need to stop the class and and fix your bad behavior. Well done. And why do we think that that's such a problem? Angela? Why do you think it's such a problem when we've got bad students or what the bad students, but disruptive distrtive students? Why can that be so difficult for for teachers? Why can that be a very difficult job? Well, well, mostly bad behavior. Students, if you tell them what to do, they may not listen to you, and then you might call their parents and their parents might be angry, even you might be fired. Well, Danso, there's a fear of losing your job. That doesn't make it sound like the best job in the world, does it? Walter George? Walter Angela Anne, what do you think? Come on. Teaches the best job in the world, right? Oh, no, I say not the best job in the world to you, Anne. Because. There are many less jobs, more than teachers like police officer. They they protect our lives. Excellent. Why else might teacher not be the best job? And sometimes if teacher leave less. Homework that if students go back and they didn't wrote it all, the next state teacher will. Sometimes that he or she go out and fire. So didn't they say the teacher? So we could say, would there will the teacher be angry? So that's a horrible emotion. Would the teacher be angry? Yeah. So next day the teacher will be angry and then they are stressed. That doesn't sound like like something you want want to do, is it? Well, then annn excellent. Okay. Oh, that didn't go to you. Then there we are. And moo moo, I think it's the best job in the world. Okay? I get to use education. I get to see students achieve. I get beautiful coworkers. I get to have lots of vacations. I finished work at 3:00 in the afternoon. Surely that makes it the best job in the world. No, no, okay, why doesn't that make it the best job in the world mmo? Because if you work at 3:00, you need you also need to work and or help student homework. Mark Homer, Oh, Oh, I see. So I'm not leaving at 3:00 because I'm going to have to take work home. Oh, I see. Oh dear mimu, I'm not winning you at all today. Oh, I know. Okay, Jerry, what were you going to say? Firstly, I think why the teacher wasn't a best it's not a best job. It's if teacher need to check homework and do a lot of paperwork. And I know my my school teacher need to until eight and half P M. Oh, 8:00p.m.finish. Yes, they need to finish at eight and half pm, 8:38p.m.and 8:30 8:30 in the evening, so they don't finish at 3:00, so 3:00p.m.is alive. Well, Oh, no, this is a long time to be at school. Okay, Jerry Belfer, Isaac George, what are you going to say? Teachers is not the best job because they have to speak all day long. And why would that make not make it the best job in the world? And because if this be too much a their throat will hurt gonna be ill. Yeah and also kids have a lot of illness, a lot of colds, a lot coughs so they can end up getting ill every time they go to school. George, that's a very good point. Okay, yes, Jerry. Oh, he's went. Jerry came and then he went there. There he is. He's back. You disappear, Jerry, like a magic tree. But I remember a that maybe if if teacher, a, if that teacher have a teacher, that's teacher, maybe some students will hate them and maybe they will play trick on like put, put put a lot of water on the, on the, on the classroom door. And if the teacher opened the door so, so students can play tricks on their teachers, Oh, no, guys, you're convincing me here. It's I might need to find a new job. I ityou're telling me all to find a new job here. Okay, wonderful. Really, really well done. Okay, so some other things for us to think about, okay, is we know we're teachers. Us is, for example, this is my fifth year of teaching, and I would word ge anybody thinking about doing it to think again. It's such hard work and it just isn't worth the pay that kids can be rude and disruptive. I spend most nights marking and I feel totally stressed about the work I have to do. To make matters worse, I have strict target grades that the children need to achieve and a lot of pressure from my head teacher. I've been looking for a different career for some time now. Okay, so kind of what you guys saying? Yes, Jerry. I remember a sentence that you are your best teacher in your life. Yes, well, that's are your own. You can teach us this truder. You can teach yourself, can't you? Right? I'm a head teacher of a school in South Yorkshire. It is one of the places most affected by a shortage of teachers. No teachers. We have advertised for several jobs over the last few months, but no one wants it. This means we've started the year with no teachers, and a lot of subjects are being taught by French teachers or German teachers, and they're delivering maths in English. One thing is for sure, we need to get more Young people into teaching. We need to make it the best job in the world. Yeah. So you can think about that. So today's debate is going to be a difficult one, isn't it? So we're going to be thinking about preparing for your size. Now every single person, I think, is wanting to be on the negative team today. I'm guessing no one wants to say it's the best job in the world. So we're going to do something a little different today. You are all gonna to go onto the negative team. You're all going to say no. Every single person I'm going to put over here to how I'm going to fit you all on. Movie is gonna have to sit out in space I think over here. So he's actually going to sit in the middle I think. Okay, so everybody is going to do their speech for two minutes about why it is not the best job in the world, okay? You are going to have a chance to talk to each other, maybe give ideas, maybe talk about an's going to tell us what she's going to talk about mooming, or tell us what she's talking about George. You're going to tell us. So we don't want everyone to say the same thing. Each person wants to take their own point. I am going to fight for the job. And what's going to happen is is I am also going to give a speech book for one minute 30s and each of you are going to ask me a question. You're gonna to make my argument sound rubbish and every time you speak I'm gonna to ask you a question and I'm gonna to try and make your argument wrong. Okay, so it's called the debate is called today beat the teacher. Okay, so you have to work as a team to beat me. And yes, Jerry. Which one is which one in us is the first one? Say we'll make annthe first one, then you Jerry, then mumu, then Angela, then George. Okay, so we'll go in that order. Okay, be the first one. And have you got any problems with Jerry being the first one? Are you okay to swap positions? Okay, amazing. And says yes so we can swap you around. That's not a problem at all. Okay, shall we give you a few minutes to get ready if I'd like us to spend as much time as we can debating? So let's give you all about a minute and a half, two minutes. Okay, you'll probably have written something already. So think about your argument. Remember things like in my opinion, I think firstly because secondly because okay. And then so I know you finish your debate in conclusion, I think right. Affirmative team always goes first, so I will be speaking first in today's debate. So you'll have some time to prepare. While I'm talking, remember, you're working as a team, okay? So feel free to have a chat with each other, okay? You can ask questions. You have two minutes to prepare. Start. I'm so excited. I'm going to get my speech ready because I want to beat you all. It's one against five okay, right? So make sure you get you those debates ready. Feel free to ask questions if you want to with each other if you've got your debate ready maybe look can you put us in a in another classroom? I can indeed do remember that I can still see you all when you go in there. Okay. So no, I'm trusting you all Yeah I'm trusting each and every one of you to make sure that you are behaving in there because I can see you. But yes, I'll pop you in there for a minute and a half. Just have a quick chat. Let me just check. You've all got the options of the tools. Amazing. I'm just checking that you've got your tools. Just checking. Okay, I'll leave you to it now. Okay, I'll be back. I will be the first one and am the second one and, which one was the third one? And. What jobs do you love drawing? I'm just checking in how we doing how we doing Oh we're drawing okay let's take these away okay no drawing okay that's okay okay you I can't take your away we're not going draw we're gonna talk we're gonna get ready for our debate okay you've got one minute left so I'd start chatting if you need to check anything one minute okay I'll be back. Now we need to think about what question should we ask teacher? We can. Just ask a teacher, if a teacher, why do you think teacher is the best job? Okay but make sure after A A few more after a minute we we can't say the same things. If someone says your question, you must think about another new question to ask, okay. Okay. 3s. Everyone's back in. Okay, amazing, right? How how am I gonna fit you all on this screen? So Jerry, you're gonna to be going first on the negative team arenyou and then we've got Anne, then we've got gonna to be quite small, let's pretty really small up here. Let we go and then let's cut annn quite small up here as well. Okay, there's annthen. We had momu was going third. Yes, I hope you got some good questions for me. Then we've got Angela and then we have George. Okay, wonderful. What does George doing now? He was. There we go. Did I get everyone in line? Jerry? Just there's just so many of you. I've looked at a 105. I don't know. I think George has got two screens. I think have you got two screens, George? I think George has got two screens, so don't worry. Okay? Oh, be ready. Let's get this debate started because one v five, remember, and get a talk for a minute and a half, and then you will have a chance to ask me questions. Then each of you will take your turn to make your speech, and I might choose to ask a question to you. At the end. We will vote. Yeah, I'm kind of hoping I might convince some of you. Maybe we'll see. Okay, here we go. Good morning, everyone. And today I stand before you to argue that being a teacher is the best job in the world. Every day, teachers shape the future. They don't just teach maths or English. They build confidence, Spark curiosity, help Young people to learn better. What could be more important than that? Firstly, teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Imagine the joy of watching a student who once said, I can't do this, and finally is able to. It brings me the most amount of happiness. No amount of money or fame can replace that feeling. Teachers see your results and they love it. Secondly, teaching is a chance to be a hero to your students, and no two days are the same. No day is boring. Every class has different students, new ideas, and best of all, students also teach us. Of course, some people argue that it's stressful, some students are rude, but that's only a small part of this job. It's a job that creates power, confidence and reward. In conclusion, teaching isn't just a job. It's a calling. It's a lifestyle. It's the foundation of a profession. Without teachers, we would be nowhere. So I say, teacher is the best job. Okay, so have we got any questions from my debate? Okay, Annan's got to hand up. Okay, Anne. Well, if if teachers can help students be. Can help students. If teachers are proud at their, at their job, then. He says they, they they caught bad niand. They they protect our lives. How could they don't be proud? Okay, good question. I can see what you're saying. There are other professions and careers that are just perhaps as good, but I think a police officer has to deal with more training, more horrible people. They have to work at night and I get 16 weeks off. So I think it's a better job than police officer. Nice question, Anne. Very good question. Okay, Jerry. My question is, yes, as you say, the the the teacher will have a lot of holiday and you said the teacher won't have a lot of, even the teacher do not have a lot of money. So you mean the teacher won't have a lot of money for the work and you said the teacher will will finish the work at 3:00. But I see the teacher was maybe need to do a lot of home, need to do a lot of paperwork at home and maybe some teacher need to at school to even to crack the homework to do the lot of to do the practice tomorrow because tomorrow they need to have a class. So maybe they need to they need to practice until to eight half and half eight P I I hear what you're saying, Jerry. I hear what you're saying. I think it's a good point. A lot of teachers really enjoy the job that they're doing and the work that they're doing. So working late into the evening is something that they're okay with. And I think they have set the work so they should mark the work right. So I kind of feel like that is part of us a bit. Okay. Well, Jerry, I'm just calling okay very quickly, Jerry, because I want to make sure everyone gets a chance to answer. Go on, Jerry. What's your quick question? My, my last question is the teacher won't have a lot of money for work. So when holiday, what can he, what can they do on holiday? So I think that you can be really inspiring with your holiday. You could go caravaning, you could go to your local area, you can go for a beach holiday. It doesn't always have to be abroad. Sometimes it can just be a cheap hotel, maybe. Well done, Jerry. Nice rebutstle. Jerry, George, you had your hand up next. George, what was your question to me? Why do you like it in if students say they don't know how to do it? I like that though, George. I think that makes it a great job because they're the students you want to help. They're the ones you want to work hard for and help them be better and improve. That's the best part of the job. Yeah. Seeing students that can't do it, knowing that they will be able to do it. Nice question, George mimu, what's your question? Wag you there, momu. We're waving, but we can't hear you. Oh, we'll come back to you. Mimo, Angela, what's your question? My question is that if. If teachers don't teachjob is to teach students, but they don't get enough money. So when on the vacation they don't have money. So where would they go to vacation if to and even to a hotel you have to spend money. So yes, but I think you couldn't get that you can't spend, but then you could budget, you could save money, people gift you money. And also a lot of teachers have husbands or wives and they might earn more, so they get to do they can perhaps go on better holidays because their partners may be earning more than they are. So there's always ways to go on holiday. Well, don, Angela mou, have you got a question? Yeah. I think if you say that you want to be a teacher because you can work small and if your children triyou and you be very angry, what do you do? Maybe you can think, I don't want to be a teacher. I think, though, that it can still be the best job, because I think you learn which students are trying to trick you, and then you're able to find new ways to be less angry. And so I think sometimes you quite like winning them round so that theystop tricking you. Yeah, good question. Very, very good question. Okay, Jerry, are you ready to counterargue. Yes, your time starts now. Is that two minutes for us? You can go for a yes you can have two minutes. Oh good evening lady and gentlemen today we are talking about teacher is it's the best jobs and I hear Lisa I hear your perfect emergency. So but I think the my opinion I think in my opinion I think the teacher wasn't the best job firstly because firstly the teacher won't get enough money because. Firstly, the teacher won't get enough money and they can't have a big trip on their holiday, so. They can't enjoy their holiday. And secondly, they need to do a lot of paperwork and they they need to do a lot of paperwork and be so tired. So maybe they can't enjoy their holiday trip and some maybe some of the best students will will play trick on you too. So that's all. Thank you. Well done, Jerry. Okay, Jerry, you just said there about being tired, but surely as adults teachers can learn to be less tired. Yes, but if you be, if you drink like drink tea or drink coffee, maybe even now you won't be tired, but after a few more hour, you'll be very, very tired. Oh, okay, good answer. Thank you very much. Jerry annare you ready? Yes, your time starts now. In my opinion, I think that teacher isn't the best job first, because sometimes if the students play a trick on you, sometimes you think that you're mad. And if you. Call his dad and mom, you need to talk with their parents, and if you talk a lot the next day, you you will not be very comfortable. Second, because. Sometimes my mom always come. My mom is an English teacher, and sometimes when she comes home, she will, she will say she is very tired. Inclusion. I think that teacher isn't the best job. Hey, thank you very much, Anne. A nice personal example and bringing in your mum. Talking of your mum, man, and yes, she might be tired from working, but is she not tired from also looking after the house and doing other tasks, not just her job? Sometimes it's my dad, like jme, and my brother. Okay, that makes sense. Thank you very much, Anne. A nice personal example. Moo, are you there and are you ready? Yeah. Oh, okay, momu, your time starts now. In my opinion, I think teacher isn't the best job. Firstly, I think because teacher need to work hard and if student didn't write their homework, teacher need to tell them what is the answer and how do you do this? Me? If the children tricked the teacher, the teacher would be very angry and he was thinking, he don't want to be the teacher. Thirdly, I think a teacher will be sleepy in the class because he is very bored in the class. And if you want to drink some coffee, you just this time you sleeping and the next time. You will be sleeping so in my very well, and thank you very much, mumi. And we've talked about this a few times with a few of you now, but this trickery, but not every child wants to trick you, Mimi. Many schools and many teachers have wonderful students. Surely that makes it the best job when they have fantastic students. Did the wonderful students outweigh the bad ones? Mmu? What do you think, momo? Do you think the good students make the bad students less of a problem? Aren't teachers there for the good students? Yeah, you think so. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So we've got this idea that maybe actually it doesn't matter that they're tricking you. Okay. A point to me, I think. Haha, okay, bomove. Okay, Angela, are you ready? Okay, Angela, what time starts now? In my opinion, I think that teacher is not the best job firbecause. You don't have you want to be rich, but you don't have enough money. So on a school trip, you need to buy some like essentials and you have to use some of the money you get paid from the school. So it equals that you get less plus money when you go on a trip. So secondly, because. Some students are very naughty, so you have to tell them to behave, but if you tell them too much, their parents will call you and you might be fired, so you don't have a job. So in conclusion, I think that teachis not the best job. Thank you very much. Angela. You talked about this school trip, but surely the school is paying for the school trip, not the teachers. Well, you have to like pay something, even though that school page ges more, but you still have to pay something. I see. Okay, a good point, Angela. A very well point made. A new point makes not. George, are you ready to clinch this for your team? George, your time starts now. Not not. Best. Firstly, teacher need to prepare for classes under their rotation. Secondly, students will annoy the teachers. Certainly. Teachers will have to check the students homework and maybe to and be late to get home. In conclusion, I think teacher is not the best job. Very well done, George. George, final question for the team. You talked about this idea of having to take work home to be marked. Can't a teacher just do that in school like for say, 30 minutes? Why do they need to be doing it late into the night? Maybe do the test and there's a lot of paper and you can't finish it. Oh, that's a good point. Maybe it's too much of it. Okay, well, you guys did amazing. I'm so proud of all of you. Okay, let's have a little vote. I'm gonna see if I have changed anyone's mind. Is anybody now being convinced that teacher is the best job? No one. That's one single vote. Nobody. Okay. Who believes that teacher is not the best job and believes that your team was the best? We have. We have five. Okay. Well, it's five against one. I mean, what am I going to do? I have convinced nobody. Well done every single one of you. Incredible work. Yeah. So many good things. Personal exams today. I mean, we've got so much good stuff. Next week. Research both sides. We are gonna but you are gonna to end up on a side you probably don't want na be on. So just make sure you're prepared for both sides. Do you have to win to be successful? Yeah, amazing. Well done. I'm me. Give you a pens. You can have a little scribble if you want. Monalleave, thank you. Momu, thank you, Angela. Thank you, George. Thank you, Jerry. Thank you, Anne. I can't believe no one agreed with me. Well done for feeding the teacher. Bye all. Have a wonderful week. Bye bye.
