Bruce? Hi, Alex. Hi, Bruce. How are you? Great. You're great. You look very warm, Bruce. Your coat, your jacket looks very warm. Is it cold where you are today, Bruce? Yes, do you have snow? No, no, no snow. Okay, so no snow weaver, but it's cold. Yes. Oh, hi, Valerie. You're popping up in all the classes. Are you again? Ay, today, Valerie? Yeah, I love your pajamas, right? So Bruce has got a wonderful jacket that I would like. I'd like Bruce to send me. This jacket looks very warm. And your, is it pajamas you have? Valerie, these strawberries. Oh, I love them. It's so cute. I wana pair. I'd like a pair of those. You just put your hair up. Don't worry. You put your hair up before before your answer. Be grand. Reese, what's are you having for dinner? I have rice, parrot, potato, meat and some bread. Are you dipping your bread in there as well? Bread and some milk. Oh, that looks delicious. It's nearly lunch. Unchtime here. Another hour till lunch. You're making me hungry. Bruce, hi, Alex. How are you? Good? You're good. And what have you been up to today? Alex, school. You've been up to school. You've been in school today. Have you been good in school today? Yeah, what have you been learning? Can you tell us one thing you learned today? Science Math Science math. That's three. Yes. Oh, science, that's big Chinese. That's five subjects already. Anything else? That's all. That's a lot though. That's a lot of stuff. All I've done today, Alex, is English, and you've done science, maths, p, music. Well, welcome, welcome, welcome, mobile. Alice and Victor will join us in a minute. Yes, Alex, I know. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Right. Well, today, guys, we've got a whole lesson. Ddy, what are you doing, Alex? Hey, Alex, I think it's going be one of your favorites and we are going to be looking at rebutling today and we're gonna be talking all about how to rebutour partners all right? And we're gonna to be thinking about how do we actively listen to everyone else then make their point look like it's wrong. Okay, so we know, do we know what the difference between a public speaker and a debate is? Valerie, do you know what we mean by a public speaker compared to a debate? What's the difference? Oh, I think that public speak is just like you just say something about what you, what you think about the topic. But debating is you, you you you have a group and then you go against the other people. There's affirmative teams as negative. Well done. You give your opinion to another team. So negative. And if fact, excellent public speakers just say they've got a topic and they just tell us about that topic. Public speaking can be anything. So it could be an opinion, it could be factual. But you just tell the audience, debating, as you say, is someone going, you're right, you're wrong. I don't agree with you. I do agree with you. Have you thought of this? Okay. So that's the difference between a public speaker and a debate. So rebuttle is a big part of debating. You have to think quickly. You have to know your topic. You have to understand and listen to what the other team is saying. If you don't, rebutattling is hard. If you do, rebattling can be the most fun we can have in a ID debate, and we're going to be doing lots of it today. So rebattling is responding to what the team on the other side of the topic has said and explain why they are wrong. You are wrong because and it has different levels, okay? And it has steps to follow, say, level one, what did the other side say? So you want to give a brief summary of the argument that the other team made was signposting so that the judge knows who you are. Rebutattling, okay. So if Bruce said to me, we should ban school uniform because uniforms are too expensive, I would say to Bruce, Bruce stated in his second point that uniforms were too expensive. We on the negative team disagree wholeheartedly. We know there are charities and second hand shops where people can get cheaper forms of uniform, therefore, this is not a problem. So I rebuttle Bruce. Okay, so that's how we we work with making sure we understand the other side. So Alex, I'm going to give us a topic. Okay, so I'm my topic is going to be children should get more holidays. Okay, so Alex, what do you think? No or yes? No. Okay, why. Because if they get too much of holiday, they were, they just, they were just keep going to holiday, then I would forget you do have too much fun. Forget since daily learning school and never practice. But but if they learn on holidays, they some some parents don't don't know how to how to teach them correctly and teach them wrong and and kids could be and kids learning will be very, very bad. And the teacher did have very nice less time to do the to the fix them. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Alex. We on the affirmative team would like to take Alex's first point, which he had dressed chair, which was the idea of they will forget things when our holiday. We, the affirmative team, disagree as it is shown that 92% of students can still retain information while they are on holiday if their parents make sure they are doing their homework. Okay? So I've just rebutttled Alex. Okay? So I've addressed what Alex has said. I've told us what Alex said, and then I gave my reasons. That's how we rebuttle. I'm very clear on the point that Alex was making. So the chair and the judge knows what I am trying to say is wrong. Okay? And that's how we rebuttle. Well done, Alex. Okay, let's bring Bruce down. So Bruce, yours is going to be children. I know our parents should spend every weekend with their child. Okay, Bruce, what do you think about this? I think parents should spend every weekend with your children, because if they didn't spend any time for with the children, and when the children grow up, the parents has less time to spend every weekend with their children. Okay. Thank you very much for ruce. So we, the negative team, would like to address Bruce's first point about spending time with their children every weekend. While we acknowledge Bruce's point that it can time can go fast and parents one day will not be able to spend time with their children, we do feel that every weekend is a very difficult promise to make to children as sometimes parents need to go on weekend holidays, weddings, or need to attend other services that may be required by them as adults. Therefore, we believe on the negative team that parents should at least have one or two weekends where they are allowed to do what they want to do rather than their child. Okay, again, I've taken Bruce's point. I've made clear what Bruce's point was. I've said why I don't agree. Okay? And this is a great way of making Bruce's point seem really okay. Well done, Bruce. Okay, Valerie, let's do ysay. Valerie, chocolate should be banned for children. Okay. What do you think, Valerie? Well, I think that chocolate should be banned for children, because if they eat, eat too, if they eat too much or get addicted to it, and and they might eat like they will eat a lot, and then all teforget, all black and. And when when when their teeth are starting to become adult teeth, when they eat chocolate again, their teeth will get black, will get black, and then they have to go to the doctor to get a new teeth. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Valerie. So here on the negative side, we've acknowledged of the addiction that speaker Valerie has spoken of. However, we do think that banning all chocolate is an extreme measure for children. 52% of people actually feel better after having a bar of chocolate once a week, which can be good for our digestive system and can give us a really nice feeling. Therefore, we believe on the negative side that one bar of chocolate or teaching children how to eat chocolate sensibly is better than banning it. Okay, again, I took your point, Valerie, and then I addressed it. Okay, well done. Excellent. I did. If you're still in the class, Alex, or whether you've got some Internet issues, just let us know when you're back or see you on the camera when you're back. Okay, okay, well, let's have your camera on then Alex. We should be in class listening to everybody else as well, my lovely. So make sure we're in class with your camera. Yeah, let's not just turn it on and off. There we go. Thank you very much Alex. Just to make sure we haven't wondered so why is it incorrect? We want na explain why the argument you made was incorrect, why you think they're wrong and make your case debate your side of it and convince the judge. So rebuttal action. Yeah we must think here that books are better than movies. So this here is gonna be I'm gonna to give you this and I want all three of you to rebuttle this. Okay, so Bruce will go first he will rebuttle first, then it will be Valerie, and then it will be Alex to rebutokay. So here is my statement I want you to think about. How can you prove I'm wrong? Okay, so my first point about why books are better than movies is that books allow your imagination to flow. This is because in books, there are no pictures. So you're forced to think about what everything looks like. But if you're watching a movie, it gives you a picture and you can't imagine anything else. For example, when you are reading a spaceship, you can imagine the spaceship as being super cool, awesome and huge. Whereas if you're watching a movie, the spaceship turns out to be rusty and tinny. It ruins the experience for you. Therefore, because your imagination can flow, books are definitely better than movies. Okay, Bruce, could you please give your first rebuttal to my point, please? If you're on a mute, Bruce. There we go. Hey, okay. The next speaker, Lisa, says you, if the children were, look at books, the imagination will fly. My. Father, and if you watch a movie, it's imagine or no imagination. But I think if you look at the books every day, you can get very excited. And in a life, sometime need to I do a little exciting thing. I'd want a tv once a weekend. And if you watch a tv once a can, it will be good for your eyes. And then, and then, and then look at the book and then look at the tv and around and around, and the children's life will be exciting. Rus, that was a perfect rebuttal. High five. Well done. Excellent. Yeah, you addressed me. You addressed my point, and then you gave yours. That was perfect. Well done. Okay, Valerie, can you give us your rebuttal to my point, please? Well, I think that if you just imagine it out, just I pretend like it's a scary movie. You can't really feel like a scaring miss in the movie when they like when like in the like in a book, they might say, suddenly something scares the the character. But if you watch it in the movie, it might be more scarier and more exciting to watch. And. And people who doesn't like reading, like reading word, like looking, reading words in a book, they are because not all books have pictures in it. So they can watch movies, so they can just look at the pictures and already understand what the story means. Well done, Valerie. Valerie, excellent points. Nice extra detail when you came to yours. I really like this idea of like the feeling. That's a really good way of rebutttling this, like this idea of feeling tiny, tiny thing, Valerie, just make sure at the beginning, like brewsted, make sure you're addressing the point of the person. So speaker Lisa said this, and I disagree because it means you're saying to the judges, I've been listening. It also means that you are challenging that speaker. So then the affirmative team or the negative team, the second speaker now is scribbling what you're saying because they're going to have to be like, right, we've got to come back to this point because remember, first speaker makes their speech. Everyone else needs their notes because you don't know what someone's gonna to say. So Valerie, now as the second affirmative speaker, I need to address you. So I need to say speaker Valerie stated, tried to state that watching films was more exciting due to feelings. However, if someone is a good writer, the feeling should be within the book using multiple language features. So I can start to rebuttle you again. Okay, so just remember that little address at the beginning. But really well done. Yeah, nice clear reasons. Okay, Alex, are you ready to rebuttle over to you, Alex? You can start Alex with the speaker. So movie books that allow your information to flow. But if you are looking at a movie and you're watching and you're looking at a book in the book, then you're if you if. You like me, you can you can just imagine it. And then why and then if the the movie, but what if the movie is also also it is more, is more or bigger than and have more details than you than you saw saw and if you. And you, and you, and you will be. And if and you be, and you read books, you, you, when you imagining you, you will, you will, you don't know what you are, and have to have to read it again. And you will. And imagine have imagined. So if you move it, you can just keep going on, not not not just reading it again and again the same thing. Well done, Alex. Yes, a nice rebuttle. Yeah, a nice address. And Alex, when you're when we're in debating mode, you don't have to call me teacher Lisa. You can call me speaker Lisa. Yeah. So don't worry about trying to get my formality in there. Okay? Treat me like I am yyes Bruce. Go do the best course you can. Course you can. Absolutely you can. Well done, Alex. Amawe, butoff, I'm hi, Victor. How are you? I'm good. Yeah. Are you traveling back from school? There Oh, you work traveling back from school, Victor? Yeah, Yeah. We can see ourselves in your car window. And well, today, Victor, we're looking at rebutattling. Okay, we're going to be doing lots of rebutattling today. Just to give you some points that, Victor, what we're talking about is listening to someone making their argument, the first speaker or the the negative speaker making a point and making sure as they're listening, we're writing notes of what they're saying and then we can say Bruce's second point about global warming was talking about animals. I don't agree because okay, so it's about making sure we understand what someone is saying and then why we're gonna to disprove it and then making our own point. Okay, as we said Victor, first speakers, so if you're on the affirmative, the agree team and you are the first speaker in the debate, you would write your debate out. You were the first person. You were setting the motion. You were defining the motion. You are making the problem. You are addressing the issue. Everybody else needs to be making notes. And you can do them on little cards, you can do them on pad. And you should just be making little notes and having like expert opinions. You could have little bullet points. You can have keywords, and then you want na be writing notes from the other speakers to address them. Okay. It's quite hard being the other speakers. So that's what we're talking about today, Victor. Okay, so we're going to be looking at this in more detail. Everyone's just done a bit of a rebuttal. So think about what did they say? Why is it incorrect? Why is our case better? Okay, which you all did. And you can use lots of little phrases. We do not agree. The argument is irrelevant. Your argument does not work. Your argument is a silly point. Yeah while that may be the case, it's not. The point is, but it's unimportant. It doesn't matter to this debate. Yeah, yes, it's that uniforms are expensive, but it doesn't really matter because actually it's more about stopping bullying. Okay, so I'll pop these on the board for us today so you can have these to look at. So I'll pop these on the board in a second, especially should have gone in today's topic where you're going to be a rebutattling in the current technological generation, schools should use e textbooks rather than paper books. So we are talking about using technology like mobiles, iPads, laptops, instead of trying to get to school with this book and this book and this book and trying to go to school like this. Yeah. So we're trying to think, should we get rid of these? Should we say goodbye to our books and you eat textbooks? Or is it important we keep paper books and are there uses for them? Let's start our discussion off with Victor. So Victor, what do you think about this? School should you it textbooks, because this can. Because this can help children do not use, we have too much. To put in their bags to go to school and. Using a texbut, they can also also write something on on it and also erase it without any. Any things on it without destroying the book? Maybe this is a good start to this debate. Victor yes. Less books and we can edit it's a good word to use. Yeah we can edit the e textbook. Yes. Alex, I think you shouldn't add it that because because because if you if you use technology you like apppaads and you you just you're writing all stuff on it and and doing it, you just Hurit eyes will not, not, not be good. It will not be good for your eyes and and your eyes will, and you will just can't look at anything that's better than than than harright. Better, better, better. Safe. Sorry, right? Hey, I like that phrase. It's a good phrase to use, Alex. Safe rather than sorry. So having paper books help your eyes. Okay. Okay, Bruce, what do you think? I think children shouldn't use iPad, because if children use iPad, their eyes will be not comfortable, and if they use iPad very long time, they will use the iPad to ask the AI for other things they don't need. Don't they wanted to know? I don't know how to do it. And when they grow up, they can't use the iPad and they don't know anything. Well, this is a good point, Bruce. The AI is a good one, isn't it? Because you can use AI to search for words now in your e textbooks. So actually then you don't even know how to find information. The computers doing it. And Victor and Alex, I'll come back to you. I just want na hear Valerie very quickly. So Valerie, what do you think? Well, I think that they shouldn't. I can't for I mean, e books for class because like if you use a pad or iPad and then you start using it in class, you might actually pretend to be listening, but you're actually playing video games. The because in school, sometimes when we use like the pair at the tablet, I have seen people doing something else instead of listening to ace is a big problem, isn't it? You've got access, but you do. I've had students that are in my my online classes that I know are playing games or looking at other things on their windows that can be a real problem. Okay, well done. Okay, valwe left that right. Victor, you had your hand at first. What were you gonna to say, Victor? I can use paper books and also use lots of trees to make the paper. So if you use etexbook you can you can avoid to destroy lots of trees. Excellent. So environmental, it's environmentally friendly. Oh yes. The other thing is to think about with e textbooks, but I can have lots of textbooks on my kindle Yeah on my on my device, I can have 100 books with me. So I can have lots and lots of textbooks. Can't really do that with my paper books. I've got to choose what I'm taking, really. And Alex, what do you think? And speaker Victor said, paperbook use a lot of trees and environment. You know we don't really use we can we can use silk, silk for paper too, not only trees and wood. That would take away the environment. If finding other materials, we could find other yes, Victor. And using and and using the iPad and an AI will electricity and some and some electricity power you one big, big factories and factory get out smoke that will be bad for our environment. And also I had the the material they need to use iron and a lot of stuff. It could, it could be a very, very bad, bad if the future, the future earth might even crash into the sun. They need maybe they need material to if they get out material for these these appples, they say they won't have anything to do like like if what's go going on again and you don't have any metal and you can do any so we could have material issues the other way as well. Victor, you were going to respond. What are you going to say? Victor? I don't use other things to make paper is good because some of some of. The materials you you use are also bad for environment, and sometimes students. It was not convenient to write on other materials like silk and other other materials are also very expensive. Our expensive yes, that's a really good point. That's not rebuttal. Victor. Alex is going to come back to you. Where going to Bruce now? Bruce, what were you going to say? If anyone all use the iPad and. Use the book and the trees that the men and other one who plant on the ground will grow bigger and bigger, and then the whole world was with trees and become tree world. So actually, you saying, Bruce, that we need to use the trees for some paper, otherwise we may have too many trees? Oh, that's an interesting angle. It's not. It's, it's a good opinion. Well done, Brece. Nice to think about the other side. Yes, valeriate. I just know he said that the woman not have too much trees, but people also use it for for building houses, using it for firewood. So I think that the world wouldn't have a lot of trees. Like it will be perfect. Like half the world will have trees like nature, and half the world have cities and countries and people. Okay. So that's a really good point. Yes, Bruce. No. And if the they don't if they all use iPad and they did. And their body will not, will not be very healthy, because you need to look at the book for a long time, like with the iPad. If you look at ibevery long, because need to go to school every day and you sit there and looking at the iPad and don't look at the books, you will, you, your and. You your eyes will always look at and look at the ipaand and one years later, the children who don't want to look at the book, just want to look at the iPad. Do you think that actually wilenda also, does anyone else feel really, really good when they see that they've read this much of the book and they've only gotten to say this much left? Does that feel quite nice sometimes to have that feeling that you've sort you've read this much and you've only got this much? Do we have that same feeling with an e book? No, because you're swiping, aren't we? We're just swiping. But let's Victor's point is very, very valid. It stops environmentally unfriendly behavior. If I like I said to you at the start of this discussion, going to school with all of your textbooks piled high can be really difficult. And then you wouldn't. And also, if you had your e reader, your e textbook, you wouldn't forget a textbook. Yeah you know if you ever had that, we've left your maths book at home by accident. Yeah. So we've got to think about those things as well. Bruce, what do you want to say to that? If there's too many books, the children can buy backpand a bicycle and put the box all into the backpack and then put the backpack into the bicycle. Back and then the children can drive the bicycle to the school and don't need to use the backbag to have the book. Okay. So to actually it's a case of like we can find transport do it. Victor wells, do you think because you're obviously on this agree team today. And Victor, what do you think? You're you're quite passionate that we should have textbooks. So why else do you think we should have them? If you if we use it textbook, you have lots of equipment to draw something on the things that you want to read. So it is very convenient. And it can it can also. This is perfect. Well done, Victor. Yes, okay, we've got a convenient way. Okay, Alex, Victor, Bruce and Valerie. Can we think though about money? Okay. So do we think that having an e texx book could save us a lot of money on buying books? Valerie? Well, but sometimes a iPad or a tablet can cost a lot of money, even though if you add all of the books together, it still might cost a lot. Okay. So it actually you think it could be cheaper, but I could get 100, 200 books on an e textbook. And some places some textbooks are free to download. So couldn't overall an e textbook be cheaper? Yes, Valerie. Well but sometimes I've read a books before, it might be different with the book itself that you at like you buy at bookstores. Yes, there are edits, there are differences in it. Okay, okay, brilliant. Thank you Valerie. I think you're probably right. Probably if you get a second hand book library, think about libraries as well. You can get a book for free at the library. Yeah your ipd's gonna cost you all right. But let's think about safety. Carrying books on your back will make you have a bit of a hunshoulder, won't it? Wouldn't it be nice just to have one book when it feel better just to have one book on your back? Do we think this could also be a health risk? What do you think, Victor? Do you think having too many books on your back can can harm you? Yeah, it can harm you a lot. If you have lots of books, when you, when you need to find them, you you can find them for a long time, and they are also very heavy when you. When you take it to school or to other places you be really uncomfortable. Well done. We're going to be uncomfortable. World done Victor weldone alloops world and valwhere's Bruce and Alex gone. Bruce and I says noon when you're back in. We'll see your cameras on when you're back in. Thank you very much. We should stay in our discussions if we got okay, so loads of it. I'm gonna leave all this on the board for you. Okay, so you will have all of these to look at today. I'm also gonna bring back onto the screen some of those rebuttal so some of the useful phrases you can use. I am going to give you now four minutes, not very long because you're only going to be making notes because remember you can't really rebuttle until to hear what the other person is saying. We have three of you that sort of disagree with this motion today, and Victor agrees with the motion. And I kind da feel like the only way that we'll be able to get through, because I'm not sure Bruce, Valerie or Alex, you are even a little bit interested in an agree. Agree. Victor and I will go onto to the agree team. Okay? And we will be rebuttling, Victor and Bruce, Valerie and Alex, you will be disagreeing with today's motion together. We will be putting a timer, whole timer, onto the board. You will not have like three minutes. We will be putting a whole timer onto the board. Ten minutes, ten, twelve minutes of the timer. And we will rebuttle in that time. Okay, I am going to give us a statement. Okay, so I'm going to be your first speaker. So I'm going to give you the motion. And then Alex, you will be rebutttling first Victor. You will then rebutalex Valerie, you will then rebuttle Victor. Valerie, I will then rebuttle you. Okay? And then Victor, Victor will rebuttle Valerie. Bruce will rebuttle Victor. So so basically, Victor, you'll go twice in your rebutatts and then if we can, it will be open to everyone, okay? So I will give the statement first. It won't be very long, okay, given you a couple of minutes just to make some notes if you would like to. I'm going to put you up here so you can see the board properso, just a few minutes, not very long at all, four minutes, just to make some notes you want to make. You've been talking some really good stuff. If you want to highlight anything on the board, you are welcome. But no scribbling. Please scribble on the board and I will take the pen away. Power of the pen. So Victor will go twice in his rebuttal als. Alex, then just move them around the board. Alex, okay, we're going to take the pen away if we're not going to use the pen sensibly. Alex, you should be using it sensibly because people are using that to meet their notes. Okay, there we are. Bruce should be back for you. So Alex, can you can circle things for you to use, but we're not moving stuff. Try and stay in class if we can, Alex. Oh, just over a minute. Like I say, you don't need to write a falspeech. You're not going because you're going to be addressing other people's points and you don't know why the people are going to say. I think everyone's got what they need of the board. 想试一下这看。后面这条路还是。Okay. I'm just writing my last piece. Wonderful, right? Let's let's do this. So I am I would like to make this really small if I can. Okay. Brilliant, right. Victor on the affirmative team over here. Okay. Then there's going to be me joining you. Victor. I am just going to make our opening address for the debate in a moment. And then we have Bruce, who will be buddy and us then we have Alex, who will be first over here. Okay? And then we've got Valerie. Wonderful. Like I say, a timer is going to go on. The timer of eleven minutes will be going on to the clock. I'm going to open this debate with a affirmative statement. And then we are going to have Victor making his first point. Alex, you will then rebuttle Victor. Victor will, then Alex will rebutvictor. Then I will rebuttle Alex, and so on and so forth. Okay, right here we go. Let's put our time is on. So it's gonna to happen first. Okay, wonderful. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, chairperson and worthy opponents. Today's debate is on the idea that just wonderwhy have we moved this page? Hold the line, guys. In the current technological generation, school should use eBooks rather than paper books. We, the affirmative team, believe, ed, that e textbooks would relieve back pain and allow students to access more books than they need. The term e textbook refers to the idea of iPads, phones and computers instead of traditional paper perbooks. We are going to be arguing that this would be better for all students lives. Speaker Victor is going to make his first point. I think we should use it as first, because using paper books, you need to destroy lots of trees, and it is very bad of the environment. So. I think e textbooks are better in my opinion, e textbooks are also are also not very expensive, but some of the paper books are very expensive when you, when you need to buy it. Okay, thank you very much, speaker Victor. Speaker Alex is not there at the moment as because speaker, Oh well, Alex, we need your camera on. Otherwise we are not participating as debating needs to see you. Thank you very much. Okay, spnegative speaker Alex, can you please make your rebuttal? Yes. And any speaker vicsingle paper destroys the environment, but it could, it could be some kind of silk or other material, anything, since it could be, it could be good. It it is too much money, right? But, but, but if you spend too much money on it, I, I, that the trees will, the workers will realize they nobody will buy by the paper. So, so they won't keep cutting down trees, so better say sorry. Hey, thank you very much. Sorry when you when you don't have oxygen. I would like to address speaker Lisa here on the affirmative team. Speaker Alex made his first point there about the environmental impacts that speaker Victor spoke about and the idea of using silk. The the issue is, is that silk can be a very difficult material to write on. We, the affirmative team, believe instead of making an alternative material, we should push forward in making iPads, computers and phones more accessible to students so that they are able to access a multitude of books without cutting down multiple trees, multiple pieces of wood and destroying our planet. Speak of valere. Well, I think that. Some even eBooks are eco friendly. It costs us a lot. For example, it costs ses about 3000 hkd, which is quite a lot. And second and lastly, sometimes eBook might be different from a book that you buy from a bookstore, that where you borrow from a library and more. Speaker Victor? Thank you. Speaker Valerie. I don't agree with using other materials can be better, because I think other materials won't be convenient for students to ride on them, and also something like silk and other things are very expensive. Sir, these things are are not useful as as paper. They are all, they also were difficult to make a book. I think, I think using e textbooks is better. If you, if you use lots of paper books in your bag when you go to school or other places, it will be very heavy. It was very, it was harfor your healthy at other things. Thank you, speaker Victor. Speaker Bruce. Speak Bruce frozen speaker Bruce. My children should. Use the iPad, because if they all use the iPad, their eyes will be not comfortable, and they need to use the iPad for long time for school night. And if they look at the irfor a very long time till they were working, their eyes will get very tired and can see, can see anything very well. And using iPad and AI would use electricity because and the factory to use the electricity will run out. Of energy. And in the world, anyone can use the electricity 30. And if you use use iPad and you you will use the AI to look up for the thing for the thing that you don't know and tell others when you grow up, you just didn't know why are these here or that there? And you'll get very missing something and missing something. Dear, force me. You if you have so many books to go to the school, you can just. Use, use a school bag and put the school bag in a bicycle, and then you can drive the bicycle to the school. If you use the iPad on the class and you want to look at the T V, the teachers didn't see you because the teacher were teaching others, and you will want to look at the iPad and and watch the tv on the iPad. And when you, the class were over and you finish your homework, but get amazing speech, Bruce major, people just aware of time, make sure that you can get the affirmative team to answer you. Okay, so back that back over. Well done Bruce speaker a Victor. Anything to say to Bruce and what he's been talking about? I don't think using paper books are good for. Because some of paper, paper books are news from not only paper, but also other materials in it. It was also not good for ice. And if you use e text book, you can also can open open a kind of thing that can. I can avoid. Avoid too bad for your house about your eyes. So we have so we have ways to avoid your you healthy. Well done. Thank you very much. Speaker Victor. Okay, I'm now going to open the floor to anyone, any speaker, so any address you would like to make. So Valerie or Bruce, I'm not sure Alex is in the room at the moment. So once ale's camera is on, Alex will be able to give his opinion as well. There we are. Alex, Alex, we must stay in class during the debate, okay? We must not be turning our camera off. If otherwise, we're not able to participate. Okay? Alex, it's okay, Valerie. Well, sometimes sometimes we actually don't really have to use silk because I, silk is actually kind of hard to write because it's used for clothing. So instead, I think we can use a recycle. I think we can use like like a rubbish so we can recycle it into pay paper, which is a. Well. Done very, very well done. Amazing festival. And big, big applause to Victor for standing on his own really in the affirmative team today. I know what was here, but Victor had to had to rebattle most of you today. Well done Victor. A huge achievement. Alex, Valerie and Bruce. Absolutely fantastic. Rebutattles here. Bruce, your signposting in your debates now is fantastic. Thirdly Fourthly, you talked about this electricity. Valerie, one of your major points today was that last point you were making. You thought about it. Recyclable paper is a much better argument than silk. Yeah, it's less expensive, it's environmentally friendly. Was a really strong argument to make. Yeah, Alex, some really nice ideas who really good strong rebuttal you straight away when in there with environment. Yeah which was absolutely brilliant. But Alex, please try and stay in class and actively listening to your teammates. It will make you an even better debater. Okay? So when we're off camera, we don't know if you're there. All right. So we don't know if you can fully participate. And Victor, some nice thoughts here about sort of the healthiness of the backpack and thinking about saving these trees and sort of, you know, rebutttling, this idea of costs with the silk was really strong today. Very, very, very, very well done. However, today's debate, because I can't give up paper either, I love a paperbook is Alex, Bruce and Valerie. Well done. Worthy winners. Yeah I'm afraid Victor, I'd like the paperbook to stay. My mind has not been changed. Well done all of you. Next week children should be banned earning money from their schoolmates. Interesting debate. Hmm how I think maybe think about both sides next week. Okay, well don Brece. Well don Valerie, well den victory and me, I feel like we need fireworks for today. Hang on, they're gonna come. I hope you're they're gonna come if not my confetti. Yeah some confetti for today. Have a wonderful week. Well done all. Bye you.
