Hello. Hi, Victor. You okay? Yes, yes, you drive to leave again. It's got pretty dark. Is it dark out there? Yes. Oh, is it nice to me? Turn back from school like ghtnia you? I can. So how dedicated you are. How are you to this week? David, don't be a nice week. Yes, Yeah. What have you been up to this week, Victor? I've been going to. Books reading books. What what books have you been reading? What are they about? About the exciting stories, any magical stories? Yes, I like magical stories. They're my favorite Winlow. You showed me the traffic that you're in, Victor. I think if did it round, well, lovely to see you. Hi, Alex. Is your camera on? We want to be able to see you. Alex, yes. Hi, Alex. How are you? Yeah, what have you been up to today, Alex? You were and what did you learn in school today? Yeah Chinese and matths. Yeah anything else great and Chinese and what do you learn in Chinese? Did you learn anything new, anything exciting? No, nothing today. Well, Victor's showing us the iMac cinema. Are you off to the iMac cinema? Victor, right. I don't know where everyone else is today, but we're going to start and we've got more than enough to be able to do our debating today. So today we're thinking about our different styles. I'm Valery. Hey, how are you, valme? Oh, you're on mute. We can't hear your lovely voice. Hey, there we go. Yeah. What have you been up to today, Valerie? It's still the same, but my. But my legs hurturing out your legs hurt. Oh no. Why are your legs hurting? Accidentally tripped myself. Oh I'm so sorry. Oh well, hopefully we can take your mind off it. Hopefully debating means you won't have to think about the as long as it's not gonna fall off Valerie, we'll be okay I think but bless you. Yeah, I hate tripping over well, welcome, welcome, welcome. We're right. Today we're thinking about again our different styles of debating, Oxford style, British parliamentary and world. And we're going to think about common debate. Okay, so opening address. The chairman opens the meeting. You tell us what the motion is. You're going to read the motion act. Then they do a main speech. The affirmative team yetheyspeak, and then the negative team agree and disagree. Then we have any further arguments. So this could be I want to make another statement after the speeches. I want to ask a question after the speeches, then we can open the floor to questions, to audience questions. Okay? So anyone in the audience can speak or ask a question about something you have said and then the chairman gives a summary of both sides. Okay? So both sides then can give a summary of what they've talked about, so we can then make a vote. Then there's voting from the audience. And this is done publicly with a show of hands, or by a private ballot writing yes or no on a piece of paper. So here we have the speaker in the speaker area. The four team will sit this side, the against team sits this side. The audience sits here. And we tend to have the chair in the middle here as well, the chair sensor so sit here as well. Okay, so let's have a little watch of the video about how to run a debate. Here we go. Greetings. In today's class, we are going to be exploring the world of debating. Et titrage St' cent cent全? Debating is when you argue for or against a topic, you have to prove why your team is right and the opposition is wrong. A topic might be something simple, like cats are better pets than dogs, or students should get more holidays. Let's begin with the setup of a formal debate. Two teams of three people sit at the front of the room. On one side is the affirmative team, and on the other side is the negative team. The first speaker of the affirmative team is the first person to speak. The timekeeper starts the stopwatch. When the speaker begins, the first speaker defines the keywords of the topic, introduces the team's argument and begins the debate. Different debates have different time limits. For example, if each speaker has to speak for four minutes, the timekeeper will ring the bell once at three minutes as a warning and twice at four minutes to indicate to the speaker their time is up. The second person to speak is the first speaker from the negative team. Like the affirmative side, they define the key words and introduce their team's argument. This person also rebuts points made by the first speaker of the affirmative team. Rebuttal is when you choose a point made by the opposition and explain why they're wrong and prove why you're right. Rebuttals can win or lose debates. However, you must never become personal in rebuttals. After the first speaker of the negative side, the second speaker of the affirmative side speaks, followed by the second speaker of the negative side, both of these speakers continue their team's arguments and rebuthe opposition. The third speakers of each team are the last people to speak. First, it's the third speaker of the affirmative team and then the third speaker of the negative team. Both of these speakers rebuked the opposition's debate and summarizes their own tea's argument. The third speaker of the negative team is the last person to address the audience in the debate and have the last word. This can be an advantage in debating at the end of the debate, an adjudicator or team of adjudicators will decide which team is the winner. They consider your presentation skills, the timing of your debate, and it's the team with the most convincing argument that wins the debate. The captain of the winning side thanks the opposition for a good debate, as well as the adjudicator, timekeeper, chairperson and audience. The captain of the defeated side also thanks ks the same people. Debating teaches you to look at both sides of an argument. Sometimes you may not agree with the side of the debate you are arguing, and this can be challenging, but it can be a good experience to look at a topic with a different point of view. It also teaches you teamwork. Each member of the team needs to know what their teammates are talking about. Planning and writing. The debates are done together. Now let's watch the first speakers of a debate present their argument. The topic is that computers should replace teachers. We're not going to see that debate because it's not on there. Hi, Bruce. You okay? So debating? Yes, Victor. Oh, you didn't mean to do it. You preit by accident, did you? Okay, that's okay. But while you're down here, Victor, so what did he explain? What did the weird Green thing explain about debating? How do we win a debate? We win a but that. Team three and they say different things. For example, the first person just introduce introduce their ideas. Awwhat make the introductheir ideas perfect. Well done, Victor. Exactly. And follow what else kind of wins a debate. Can you repeat that question? What else wins a debate? How else can we win the debate? Introducing our ideas? What else wins the debate? We have to make the judges to think that we have more more examples of our our argument. And we have and then we have to. 嗯,wait for anything that that's perfect, Valerie, these are good examples. Don't forget, give me more than one. One is violbrilliant examples of our argument ments. Bruce, what else is important when we're doing a debate? You need to send some stronger word. She's good vocabulary. Yes, well done, Bruce. Exactly something we need to and it's what else do we have to do to try and win our debate? Why is this not good, Alex? Why if I'm doing my debate like this, why is this not a good way of doing my debate? What's wrong with this, Alex? What's wrong with me doing my debate like this? Why? Should I do my debate like this and not like this? What do you think, Alex? What why is it better for me to be like this and to be like this or to do my debate like this? If you if you put, if you put a word to just you look at it, you you just can't can't read it. You can't read it. Well, can't read it. Can't see your friends, can't see your mouth. I can't see you. This isn't a good way of debating because I have no idea what you're saying or what your face looks like or how you're presenting it. This will lose you Marks in debating. We must be sitting, we must be looking. We must have our full face. Okay. Yes, Victor. I we can also have some butbutyes we must rebutin our debate. Excellent. Yes, Alex. We need to look confident like you trust you're gonna win than just you have better chance of winning. Yes, Alex. Excellent. Yeah very, very well done, Bruce. My last question on this. Okay and what must we never do in debated. Do you think, Bruce, it's okay to say I think you're wrong because your hair isn't right? Is that a good way of debating what's wrong with that debate? Its word is not very. Ugly. It's an ugly way of fighting. It's a very ugly way of fighting. Yeah. It's not about the question. You're just giving an insult to the person. That's not the way to win a debate. No one wants that in this class again, and well done. Very well remembered as well. Okay, so today's debate, okay, is the more we have the here we are well valy's already saying no here, but you're going to be debating on both sides today, so you're going to have to have arguments for both sides. But Valerie, please start us off. You're shcking your head very confidently here. Why do you think this is not. Because. Because some people I don't really have a lot of stuff but they already feel very happy and very grateful. Okay, so we're gonna to put out to think, okay, so disagree some people already don't have a lot of stuff and are really grateful 100%. Yeah, the happiest place on earth as done, okay, as voted, as seen by the world is a place in Africa, okay, where everyone is poor, Yeah but it's the happiest place to earth. So Yeah, okay, great, great, great. Bruce, what do you think? I think people if have more money will be happier because if they have more money they can buy more stuff they want and play with them but Oh that they want and can play with it. Okay so Brus is gonna to have to put Bruce over here. Now Barus has come up with a very good counter argument but if we have money we can buy things makes our life easier. Okay Alex, let's have our camera on please if you're gonna contribute to class. There we are. Okay, Alex, what do you think? Are you agreeing with Bruce, you agreeing with Valerie? You're on mute, Alex. We can't hear you. I'm sure it's good though, right? Go on, Alex. Did you agree with if you don't I don't agree because if you you if you don't have money and you already have a lot of stuff like like air, like air. Hot air, trees, animals, that's all stuff. Nice point, Alex. Yeah, we think about this question as in stuff. Actually, we already have nature time. Yeah time is another one we could think about. Yeah do we not have enough of time? Maybe I need more time to be happier. Maybe I need less time to be happier. Love this, Alex. This is a great point. Okay, Victor, what are you thinking of? You with Valerie and Alex or are you with Bruce? I don't agree with it because if you have more things, you spend more money and then you have no money, so you won't be happy and won't be happy, okay? So if we have more money, then we just gonna want more things. We're just gonna want more money and then we're never gonna be happy. But Bruce, what can having things do first? Why can having things make us happy? If you get your favtoy or a new game or a new item of clothing or a new toy to play with, why bruws can that make us happy? Yes, Yeah. And why why can it make us happy, Bruce? Because if you play with them, you can be happy. So that brings happiness. Having new things, why do you think a new piece of clothing could make us happy? Valerie, if I bought a new top or a new pair of jeans, or a new pair of shoes, why could that make me happy for for even just a moment? Why could that make me happy? It's because you you imagine it's like a luxury clothing. You will be like very excited and happy and then you will probably show off to your friends so you can look like you're very rich and cool. Well done. Okay. So this is this idea of how it could make even just for a little time, Yeah, it could make us happier even for a short time. Buying something new can make us feel very joyful. Yes, Alex. But Bruce said the. More money, you can buy stuff to play with, right? You can also play with animals and nature though. Okay? So you think it doesn't matter, just go back to having nature and animals. Bruce, what do you say to this? They can use money to buy a pet and play with it. Oh, that's a nice rebuttal there, Alex. Yeah, you can buy animals. So therefore, they are part of the things we have. Yeah, yes, Victor. I think if you if you buy some animals, you will spend lots lots of money and then you if you buy too much things that you want, you you do not want to buy anything. So so I think this not more the more thing and you are more happy. So I think more things don't make us happy. Okay. Okay, Valerie. One time, my friend told me that a researcher said that buying more things, like if you have more things, it makes you have dequestion. Oh, why? I'm not sure. She just told me that this is a very good thing because I think it puts more pressure on you. Excellent. It does. Yeah if your friends d's got to brand new pair of trainers and you want to boundary pair of trainers and then you don't get them and they get them. Or if you keep buying and buying and buying and buying and buying and buying, when does it start? What kind of book really make you that happy? However, I do hear what Bruce is saying. Having the latest toy, having the latest technology, having the latest fashion, can make us feel confident, can make us have something to play with, can make us less bored, can create what we call an endorphin, a dopamine. Okay? So it's what it's called is a dopamine. And this is a chemical reaction that happens when we buy things. And this can make us very, very happy. Think about every time you buy something, a new toy or a lunch, we do feel quite happy. But sometimes then, Valerie, we can be looking for that that feeling forever, and maybe we'll never get it. Yeah, yes, Alex. Yeah if you if you buy buy and whatever whatever too. It costs too many money in the wild. You can search for search for animals that don't cost money. Yes, that a free Oh, well done, Alex. Nice rebutttles. Okay, weldone Bruce batthe world on your legs weldone Victor, who's in his list? So some ideas to help us today because like I said, we're going to be sort of looping. It's called the looops. So we've got to think about things that make you happy, something you can think about if you're on the other side of the team and you don't agree today. Maybe think about a time when you have bought something and it has made you feel unhappy. Do you think you will be unhappy if you don't have them? What if I took away your phones? What if I took away your laptops? What if I took away your bed? What if I took away a tv? Would you still be happy? Or do you need those things to feel more comfortable and happier to think about that when you're on the other team? Okay, yes, Alex. If you take away them, why why can't you just just sneaking into another Heland take steal somebody elses Alex. So today what's going to happen is okay, we've know all these rules now what we're going be doing it's for example, Alex, we really would love your camera on if you can okay? Just helps us being able to see you see what's going to happen is Alex might start as the chairman because we're gonna start chairing today. And the role of the chairman is to read out the motion and then to ask the affirmative team to start speaking and then ask them to stop when their time runs out, okay? And then they will ask the negative team to speak and then they will stop them when their time runs out. Then they will ask the audience any questions and then the audience members will vote affirmative or negative, okay? And then what will happen is Alex will go into the affirmative team, for example, say victors in the negative team to start with and say, you look, Valerie's in our chair position, okay? And then me and you, Bruce would be the audience. So we will get to ask questions maybe Yeah when Valerie says you can ask some questions, I'm might that I've got a question. I've got questions about Alex. Okay? Then Bruce, Valerie might say, right, it's time to vote and me and you can vote for either Alex or we vote for Victor. Once that's happened, Alex will go into the audience, Valerie would become a firmative team, Richter would become the chair and Bruce will go on the negative time. And we'll keep swapping round so that every single person can get a chance Yeah to be part of this. So we're gonna to be swatching round. Okay, so you need an argument for both sides today. You'll talk for two minutes for each site. Okay, so two minutes here. It's okay if you speak for less. We're building our timer, but you will speak to agree. So you'll agree more things will make us happier and disagree. Something to help you agreeing with it. Having more things means we can eat what we want and buy what we want. Having more things provide a safety in life. Having more things helps us to achieve more. Internet, mobile phones, technology. Don't agree. Having more things will cost us more money. Having more things cannot make us feel happy forever. Love will, friendships will. Having more things cannot be compared with having love and compassion, new friendships. Okay, so what is I'll leave these up so you can see both of these to help you. And you've got your own ideas as well, obviously, and you're going to make your argument for both sides. Yes, Valerie. Can I go and get like some pencils and to write down my Noor? You can rather absolutely. It's a great idea. Okay, so what I'm gonna to give you all is I'm gonna give you four minutes, okay, to make your notes. But if you wanto go get your stuff, Valerie, and then I'll start the timer so that you get a full difor. Yeah. So you're going to have four, five minutes to make your notes for both sides okay you're making an agree argument and a disagree argument and you're gonna also practice being a chat okay? So lots of things you're gonna to learn. Here's some ideas there's the agree for you. There's also your own thoughts and your own opinions here as well. Okay, so Valerie can get her penting pencil. Yes Alex, what what will I be first? Oh good question Alex. I will say that you will be on the disagree team first. Miso, you'll disagree first and then you'll agree. Yeah, yes, you're going to disagree with the motion and then you're going to agree with the motion. So you'll go on the negative team first. Does that make sense? Alex? Should I put it as a visual? Amazing. So you'll go this side here first, Alex. So you'll go there first. So Alex will go here when we start. Valerie, I'm going to put you as the first affirmative. And Victor, you are going to go as our first chair. And me and Bruce for the first round, I will always be in the audience. Bruce and Lisa will be the audience for the first round. Okay, okay, five minutes starts now get scriveling because we've got a lot of debating to do. Let me put all the notes on the board for you. Okay. And Alex, if you want to if you don't want to write, you can maybe highlight the things you want to talk about. Yeah, maybe use the board to highlight the bits you would like to talk about. So when you know what you're talking about in a moment. Yeah, great. This Yeah this is a good method for you, Alex. Wait, if you are buying animals, you can only buy the animals that you already, the people have already found. If you search for new animals, you can maybe find a new kind of animal, right? That's a good that's a good thing. Would stop me to write that down for you, Alex. Things okay, no worries, right? Alex, you've highlighted those who disagree. Now think about the points you might want to make for agree. Yeah and there's also some examples here for you as well. Well Alex, make sure you done not agree when a wealthy yourself Oh Yeah amazing. You have perfect. So we've got 30s. And nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one amazing. Okay, right. Our first round today is going to be Valerie on the agree team. We have Victor chaering, our very first chair p and we've got Alex for the negative team. Okay, remember affirmative team goes first. Bruce and I, we're gonna to put ourselves here. We are the audience for this first round. Okay? And we might ask questions. We might not ask questions, but we might have some questions to ask. Okay? So nicda, I'm put the timer up. Okay? So valwe'll have up to two minutes to speak. Coco, Victor, what you'll need to do? Vicdoes, you need to tell us the motion that today we are talking about. The more you have, the happier we are. And then you need to ask Valerie to start speaking. Okay? When the timer goes off, Victor, if Valerie is still talking, just say, stop. Thank you, timer. Okay? And then ask Alex to speak. Once Alex is finished, say climup. Okay. And then you're going to ask me and Bruce if we have a question. All right, Victor, it's over to you. You need to start our debate for us. Today, we are talking about the more we have, the happy we are. And. Ask Valerie to speak at Valerie, your two minutes. Valerie, your two minutes stops now. Firstly, we can buy a lot of things. For example. Expets bodyguard and more. Well, secondly, I can show off all of my cool things to be popular and make a lot of friends. And lastly, I can go to a lot of trips troops with my friends or by myself. And I can pay, I can also pay money to my idol so I can meet them and. And I and if I buy a lot of stuff, people might think I will look very rich and everyone will be jealous of me, and then they will they will play with me because they think I am cool and, and and they and they might like, if I have something to tell them, I'm, I can like. Like probably I can like give them some stuff if they give me something cool to exchange and then like that, I will have a lot of stuff and I can put, and then I, and then when people come over to like I invite them and then they will think, I look very. Very cool and we can and I. And. Then they might tell their other friends, and then I will make like a lot of friends and a lot of fans. In my opinion, I think the more we have, the happier we are. Well done. Okay, ask Alex to start speaking then. Alex, you too many stars now. In my opinion, the more you have什么嗯就not that happy because if you,if you have that, because if you have, if if you, if you, if you because I, because you already have a lot of stuff, nature, time and everything else. And so because because if if you buy lots of animals, it can cost too much. And in a while you can search for animals that are free and and you can even find new species that we haven't even discovered yet. Second of all, you can always play with animal than nature buying. Buying animals or buying too many things you want, then you don't, and then you have too many things, then you are not interested another, then you, it will make you very bored. So in my opinion, having more stuff can't make you more happier. Now ask the audience if they've got any questions. I've got a question for the three. Okay, very, very sad. They can show off the toys they got, but why one person don't like this toy and they will go. If if that person doesn't like that toy, I can like buy a new toy and then show it to them or probably ask them what toy they like and then show them that I also have that toy. Hey, so vicdov, I want you to check if the audience, if the audience got the hand up, you are in charge of whether we can ask the question. Okay? So if I've got my hand up, you can say Lisa, you can ask a question or you can say Bruce, can you ask up? Can you ask the question? So you're in charge, Victor. Okay. So you can say at the end of a debate, say, now, questions from the audience. So I'll put my hand up. And then you get to decide if I have a question or not. So you can be like, no, no more questions. Now it's time to vote. So it's up to you. Vicector k, you can open it to the audience or ask the audience to vote up to you. Victor, you are in charge. Lisa, you have question. Yes, I do. Thank you. Chair. Valerie, have a question for you. You said can and my question is, can you really make friends by having all this stuff? You talked about having these these friendships, but they sound like you're just buying them. Well, I firstly because I, when I, when I like, when I look rich, people will think they, they will make me popular. And then when I, when I'm popular, I can make like a lot of friends, because I think I am poor and poor. Okay, thank you very much, merie, for answering. Vicnow, you can ask the audience to vote. Now, audience, can you please vote? I vote you Valerie. You vote for Valerie and I vote for Alex. So, chair, you have the final deciding vote. Are you going with Valerie? Are you going with Alex? I think I agree with valeriweldone you have on our first f weldone. Victor is so hard being the first chair ever. You did an amazing job. That was a really big thing to do. Well done, weldone. Alex, best debate. Yeah, Alex, that was clear. That was concise. You may first, second. I am so proud of you, Alex. That was brilliant. That method really works for you. Okay, let's shimmy people around. We're going to bring Bruce down into the disagree. We're going to bring Alex into our chair. Valerie is going to join me as the audience and Victor is going to make his speech on the agree team. So Mr. Chair, Alex, are you there? Yeah, really? Because I'm going to need you to start our debate. Okay, so Alex, you're going to tell us our motion and then you're going to ask Victor to speak. Okay, over to you, Alex. Today's motion is is the the more we have, the happier we are. Later Yeah are two minutes stts now. I think the more we have, the happy we are. I agree with this because first, first, if you if you buy more thing, you will be really happy because because you can have more toys or or foods to eat, then you will be really嗯really happy。Second, you you buy lots of things. If you, if you are a collector, you collect lots of things. You you also be happy. And even you can you can use them to sell them to have some money. Third, buy buy something is also someone's happy. Bby, for example, someone really, really like going shopping because this is this is because they really like to see more thing and buy buy more thing that they don't know and they don't have. Firstly, you you buy you buy some, you you buy something, you you will have, you will have more. Can you you you see that your more decorations or toys are in your, in your room? You, every time you go to sleep and get up, you you see them, you are also be happy. So I so I agree with the more we have, the happy we are. What? Thank you. Now, blues, you have your two minute stars now. I believe that if the you have, you won't be happy enough, firstly, because if you have more stocks and you buy more and more stuff, you won't have enough money to buy important things like pencils and books. Two, you can play with animals in nature, and if you buy pet, the pet need pet food and other things stops. And if you don't buy a pet, you can just go outside and play with other animals with, and you can feed them other food like carrots and others. Buying things can't make us happy wherever. I believe that if you buy more things, you won't be happy enough forever. Conclusion. I think if you buy more stuff, you won't be happy. Hey, Alex. Thank you. I didn't have any questions. Thank you very much, Trenow. My first question is to Bruce. Bruce, you talk about having obviously not a lot of stuff because it doesn't make us happy, but how do we make sure that we're not bored? Don't we need stuff to keep us entertained? We can just go outside and find some wooden dick to make something at, balls and arrows to shoot. And you can use like you can use a bottle and put it on the ground and use the wooden stick to blit into the car. Amazing. Thank you very much, Bruce. Thank you, chair, for allowing me to ask the question. Valeriyou can go on that. Valerie, you can add Valerie. Bruce, you just just now answered a question and you said, we can make bows and arrows to cheer our boredom. Then how do we make them? What if we don't know how to make them? It's very easy. You can just use some sticks and some bamboos to make a bowl. And the arrows, you just need a wooden stick. Okay, Alex. Alex, thank you more. You please make our good now I am voting for Victor. Who are you voting for? Valerie, I'm voting for Victor two. You're voting for Victor two. Weldon. Victor, Weldon. Bruce. You have to find on a side he didn't believe in. Well, you were a very good jet. Well done. You kept everybody going. That was amazing. Okay, right. Victor is now going up into the audience. Alex is now going on to the agree side. Bruce is our new chair. Hello, new chair. And Valerie is now going on her disagree side. Okay, so welcome welcome Victor to the audience. Okay, we don't need to scribble on the board though, do we? Ride Brus, it's over to you. Please start us off. Bruce. This motion is about the more thing you have and the happier you are. And Alex, you're too many. Starts now. In my opinion, the more things you have. The happier you are, happy more things that provides us safety in life. Like if there a rubber going trying to steal your stuff, you can, you can make your house, but may have in middle or things so robbers can get in. And happy more things means that we can eat and have whatever we want. And. Get more things that you don't know about and study about them. In conclusion. In conclusion, I. The more we have a happier we are. Okay, Bruce. Thanks anx and valyour. Two minutes start now. Well, firstly, at the well, the most happiest place country in the world is fermine. Why? Because they walk around nature and touch grass. And like some people, they keep on buying stuff. And then when they see something that they really, really want, but that they don't really need it, but they still buy it. So they keep on buying things. And they, and researchers said that. Buying more things will make you have depression, and it will also give you pressure and the planet too, because when once you buy something, they might go out of stock. And when they go out of stock, people will remake more. And then when you get more, you might for it, because you don't want it. And then and then there will be a lot of trash. And and lastly and lastly, people, you can't you can't buy happiness with your money. That that will ask. Well, in conclusion, the I think the more I disagree with, the more we have, the happier we are. Okay, thank you. We are now open for questions. Who are you picking for the first question, Bruce? Is it me or Alex? Who would you like just to speak first? Remember, you're in charge. Alex. Valsaid, if you don't, if you buy things, then you don't want it, and it will be trust. I don't think it makes sense. You can just go out and just sell it or and make more money. But some people don't know about selling things online, so they might just like throw into the trash and then itmake a lot of pollution and you can and you can buy more things you you don't want and make. Can you repeat that question again? I think it was a statement, Valerie. It was a statement. So that's okay. Teacher, your turn. Thank you very much. Thank you, chair Valerie. You talked about obviously not needing all this stuff, but in 20, 25, what we feel left out if we don't have stuff. We won't because a feeling iling left thing left out. We only, we might not have that stuff. But when you grow up, you figure out that it will. You didn't waste money on some not useful things. Thank you very much for answering my question. Okay, Bruce. Audience please vote. Okay, so I don't know where Victor's gone. There's Victor there though way I've already got one person. It's gonna to be my vote thank goodness. Okay, I am voting for Valerie. Victor, who's your vote for? You're all mute, Victor. We got here. Yeah. I vote for Valery. Well does. Bruce, fantastic cheering. Well done. Okay, our final round of today, Alex is now going into the audience. Bruce is going to the agree team, Valerie is chaering and Victor will be on the negative. Our last debate today, our last chance to win. Okay, chair Valerie, over to you. Today today's motion is the more we have, the happier we are. Bruyour two minutes starts now. I believe that the more things you got, the happier you are. Firstly, if people have more money, they will be happier, don't have more stuff that they want and can play with it. Too, having can make us happy, because if you play with them, you feel happy. Thirhaving more things can mean you can buy more things you want to eat and drink. What if you have such more money, you can go and ask other people to eat dinner with, and then the people well make friends with them, let if you have such more money, you want go to school and have more class with your hobby. And in my opinion, the more you have, the happier you are. A Victor, your two, your two starts now. I don't agree with the more we have, the happier we are this statement. Firstly, you have too much things. First first you play them, you'll be very happy, but when you play for a long time, you you don't want to get to play with them. So so then you won't, so then you won't like to buy anything to buy anything. Secondly, if is you just buy buy lots of thing, you also lose lots of money, and then you you have considered that you you cannot buy more. You like things, so you also be unhappy. The more you have, the happier we are. The statement. If you if you buy lots of things, you will lose lots of time. So and then you cannot do other things like study. So at least I don't agree with the more we have, the happier we are this statement. Thank you. Now we are open for questions. Yes. So my question thank you, chair. My question is to Bruce, but if we have too much stuff, Bruce, can we not become very greedy? You can give this stuff to people when they want the toy. Yeah, understand. Oh, so you think we can share? We can share. The more we have, the more we can share with people. Okay, that's a really interesting point. Thank you, Bruce. Does anyone have any more questions? I think it's time to vote. I am voting for Bruce. Comes down to the chair's final vote. Valerie, it's all down on you. The chair gets to decide. What do you think, Valerie? You can call it a draw, Valerie. You have all the power. You can call it a win. You can call it a draw. I call it a draw. You call it a draw. Wer, well done, Victor and Bruce. A draw. Bruce, you convinced me at the end. Your answer to my question was so good. It was such a good rebuttal. Bruce, I really enjoyed that. Victor, that debate you just gave was amazing. Yeah, so many different ideas. And and Valerie, what a very good chair you were. The, well, don't all of you you bonshed to be a chair. I'm so excited. This means we can do so much more now you know how to run, be the boss of the debates. Yeah, well done all of you. Next week, kids should eat sweet weets only on the weekend. Have a think about it. See what you think about this earlier. And I again, only on weeds because because if they eat every every day, it sweets every day, it won't be good for the teas. No, that's very much they be and were they were keep wanting to eat and and then they they were keep keep it. Well done. Keep Alex. Bring that with you next week. I will stay on the week. Enjoy your scribble. Bye Alex. Bye Valerie. Bye Bruce. Bye Victor.
