You've been swimming today. Do you like swimming? Yeah, can you can you do front stroke westroke? They could do all of them. Not really. You're still learning. That's okay. You're allowed to still be learning. Are you really fast? Do you compete or do you just do it for fun? Yes. Does maybe like a lesson? Okay. Yeah. YouTube a little lesson. Oh amazing. I've also just seen your homework. Thank you very much. I will look at that after class. Okay, but thank you for sending it through. Well, welcome. Welcome. Hello Alice. How are you? But you're get today Yeah and we doing you're hiding you're hiding all you can see is a big giof us. Well, you sharing us, Alex, you sharing us, your cupboard, you've got lots of things in there. That's a lot of things in your gut. Alex, have you had a good day today? Alex, Yeah, Yeah. Oh, well, that's good to hear. Fusee, Victor is on a journey again today, and I love looking at all these buildings. Victor, these are really cool. Victor, how long does it take you to, to to travel. You're on mute if you're answering me. Hope you're on mute, Victor. I can't hear you. Oh, Hey, okay, Yeah. How long does it take you to travel from school to home, Victor? About ten or 20 minutes, but that's not too bad. Is say, that's quite nice because you've got a lovely car. Victor, I'm quite jealous of your car. That's, it's an amazing, I don't know your view. I wanto be there. Do I live in my country? I wanna live in yours. It looks beautiful. Victor, hi, Bruce. How are you? Oh, we're on mute as well. Hi, Bruce. Hey, there we go. How are you, please? Ce, and good. Yeah. What have you been up to today, Bruce? I'd go to school. You went to school, and what did you learn in school today? You had a what class? What class did you have? Yeah. What classes did you have, Bruce? I have Chinese MaaS. England, Yeah, sadness. This is a lot of classes. Oh, my goodness. Wow, that's a lot of classes, Bruce. Yeah, that's a lot of classes. Okay, well, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome. I'm so excited you guys did so well last week and I cannot not wait to see what you're going to achieve this lesson. Now Alice, if we remember last week, Alice, you were put on a team that you disagreed with and you had to fight very hard to convince. So today I A prize really for doing so well is you will get to pick which team you want to be on today. Okay, so you will have first pick Alice today. All right. So anybody else then that ends with a team they don't want to be on. You will get the pick later on. Yes. Alex, look, last time I didn't want to go there. You do. You didn't want to go there either. Well, Alex, maybe then we'll have you and Alex picking today and then we can make sure it's fair. But Alex, if we can try and say in class as best you can, keep your camera on, keep your microphone on with us if we can, that's it. I'd love to see your face. Okay, right, Bruce, can you remember what is a debate? The bit is someone someone says something and the other person says yes, and the other person says no, and they all gives they. All say something and this is a debate. Well done, Bruce. Very, very well remembered. You speak that. Oh, you're mute. The debate means the two people have different opinions and and they. And they will say something about their their statement. Yes, excellent reasons for their fagets on picyes, Alex, are debated about different people, highlight different opinions on scenes they are trying to experience yourself of opininormally two, one supporting one opopexcellent differing opinions, looking at all sides. And very well done. And Alex, how we perhaps win a debate. What's the best way of winning a debate? Oh, you're on mute, Alex. The best reading that don't don't look like you're scared or or the people might might not be very convinced. Look like if look like you're confident, we must look confiyou are completely right there, Alex. We must look confident, have the best reason. Well done. We yes, Victor. You're on mute, Victor. I can slightly read the carhere. You need you need to to have lots of opinions and to have some words like first, second and third. Well done. Both second and well then we're gonna be building those today as well. Those structured excellent, right? Have a look at today. So the motion and what is a motion, a statement of a debate to the topic, what we're talking about yet we are looking at our terms. Yeah, we've got to think about what are we debating? Yeah. Technology makes us more lonely. So we have to look at our topic and think we're talking about technology and we're talking about how it makes us lonely. Okay? So we have to define that term. And that just means we have to understand we're talking about the impact of technology. We're talking about how technology is good or how technology is bad. Today's topic is all about teacher is the best job. So let's have a chat about it our way, first of all. But before we have a chat, let's have a little look at this, the positives and the negatives of being a teacher. Here we go. Hello and welcome to teachings in education, the pros and cons of teaching. Now let's separate this whiteboard into two equal halves. On the left, we're going to place the positives of a teaching career. We'll place the negatives that come along with teaching. Now if you ask most teachers what they enjoy most, vacation time would likely be the correct answer. Many teachers take time during their summer vacation to travel the world, see wonderful places as a negative. Most people don't realize all the paperwork that comes with teaching. Creating hundreds of essays, tests and quizzes isn't fun at all. Then comes the lesson planning and data tracking. All I have to say is 3:00. Teachers get out of work at 3:00, which usually avoids traffic and gets teachers home in time to see their children. The teaching profession is not one where you're gonna to become rich. Everyone seems to know that teachers don't make much money. Nevertheless, many teachers are forced to work a second and third job just to pay the bills. Not having financial security is a tough way to live now. Although you won't get rich as a teacher, it is a very stable and secure job. Tenure is a special security afforded to teachers. Another negative of teaching is having to prepare students for standardized tests. Today, teachers are held responsible through standardized testing, which is a great deal of pressure. Teachers get to make use of their education. Many people go to college and don't do anything with their degree. They find different lines of work. Teachers, however, PaaS what they've learned on to others. Most jobs don't require you to bring your work home with you. Teachers will tell you that they are spending more and more time working at home. They are responding to emails, lesson planning, giving attention, etc. And so forth. Forming relationships with your coworkers is what I enjoy most. So I'll give a quick shout out to Mansfield, Dr. Helfant, gves, trek sebula, everybody that I've met. And I'm sure as the teacher, you'll make some great connections as well. One of the toughest situations is teaching emotionally and behavioral students. Some students can be really aggressive, hurtful and outright dangerous. Yes, they are only children and we care about them, but they can still create pain and misery to a teacher. The best reason for being a teacher is that you get to be a hero to some of your students. In this job, you can actually make a difference in the lives of your students, which is an amazing feeling. One of the bad things about being a teacher. Is that you are under a microscope and held to a higher standard. One of the more practical reasons to become a teacher is the benefits that come with the job. Teaching jobs come with medical and dental benefits. Teachers in public schools get a pension, and most private and charter schools offer great 400 1K plans. People outside of education don't really understand how difficult and abusive parents can actually be. Parents will bully, threaten, lie and go after through a teacher just to ensure their son or daughter gets the grades they desire. And an added bonus of working in education is that you get to relive your school experience as a teacher. You get to go on field trip, play fun games with students and even attend Christmas parties. And lastly, teachers can become career stuck. Once you get a job as a teacher, there really no room for career advancement unless it is as a school administrator. And to get that position, you need a whole different degree, which can be expensive. So here's the question pose, is it worth it to become a teacher? Well. Can't hear you. Oh, I turned this off because, Alice, it was feeding back. The video was feeding back. And when I spotted, okay, Alex, what's your thoughts? What do you think? I think the negative. You think negative? Okay, why do you think negative? Like I feel like if you have like a naughty student, your emotion will get very, very hard and we as only your own, like only one teacher will like talk about for for like lots of students. Yes, a teacher has to deal with lots bad behavior maybe. Yeah, excellent. Alice, that's a really good. What do you think, Victor? I think it's a good job. Do you think it's a bad job? I think it isn't a fine job because if being a teacher let students do too much pawork, then there is too much paperwork for that here. Having to mark all night sometimes you've got a lot and lot of stuff. Yes, Alex, are you still there welove to have your camera on in class? That's thank you very much, Alex. I've always got a friend. Alex, what do you think to think it's a good thing? To think it's a bad thing? But you don't think it's the best job in the world. Okay? Why do you think teaching's not the best job in the world? You need to be many work home. Oh, excellent. Yeah, awesome work on what do you think, Bruce? Job. It's a job. Because. If teacher gave students a homework, you are having the homework and checking it, and it was not good, and it means you are doing too much work at home. So yes, Alex, what were you going to add? My mois teacher too and it brings so many homeshe don't have any time to teach teach me things I don't know. So it takes time away from family. So teacher is not the best job as they don't always always have as as much time as they would like with their children. That's pretty that's a really good example you can use today. Alex Yeah in your argument is your own experience. Yeah a great way of debating in with their pain children. Okay, Hey, you're right. So everybody at the moment thinks no, it's not the best job but we're obviously going na have to have a team that is saying that it's the best job because we're gonna to have to have this argument. Yeah so let's think now about the reasons why it could be a good job. So Bruce, why do you think teaching could be the best job? What's perhaps the best thing about being a teacher? Teacher can go to, I think teacher can go to the, and what teacher, you can go to vacation. Ynice allowed d for me, Bruce. Go to vacation. Oh yes, teachers can go on lots of vacations, can't they? Lots of holidays that especially in the uk in the uk they will have about ten weeks off as a teacher. Okay, so that's a big bonus for uk teachers. That's why a lot of people are uk teachers because they like this holidays. Yes. Alex, what else do you think might be a really good thing about being a teacher? What's gonna to be? Why is it gonna to make it the best job? It can think that if you're A P teacher, you get a month more time to play with students? Yes. If you are a pe teacher, Yeah or draw ma teacher, Yeah, you get to play with students. That would be so much fun. I can tell you it is a lot fun. And yes, Alice, why else might the teaching be the best job? Maybe like you can have many benefits. Like maybe you can go on a trip with your student and maybe like some like in our school, I because our a uk school and we have a long, long trip. Like just like I read like a rethat you the teacher can go with, can go with the students a lot of trip on a live trip, you got on a lot of trips. Yeah Yeah excellent valdone Alice Victor, why do you think teachers could be the best job? Why do you think teaching could be the best job? You're a mute, Victor. Yeah, there we are. Come on, Victor. If teacher teachers are are in some really good really good University and they will have really, really good education atmosphere and there are lots of things to enjoy yes, and there's lots of things to enjoy. They can use that education, right? I'm gonna to tell you what the best thing about being a teacher is. The biggest thing when you haven't said yet the biggest reason that it's the best job is when your students achieve, okay? Seeing a student become confident or able to learn new words or can exceed Yeah in their test, that's the best feeling in the entire world as teacher. Okay? Long hours is not the best feeling in the world. Yeah. Bringing your work home poorly behaved students is not fun. If you've got a lot of pressure to deal with, the headmaster can give you lots of tasks. Yeah that can take up extra time. Someone's got to do after school activities there. Some teachers don't go home at 3:00p.m.. Detention might need to happen. Yeah so we might have students that might have to redo a lesson and teachers just have to stay for that. So that can be a bit bad. Yeah. And well done, Alice. Well, don, Bruce, Alex and Victor, some really, really, really good ideas. So we're going to have a little listen to some of these examples. Okay, so we have here, this is my fifth year of teaching. I would add, anybody thinking about doing it to think again, it's hard work, it's not worth the pay. The pay is bad, kids can be rude and disruptive and I can spend nights marking, okay? And to make matters worse, I have strict target grades that the children need to achieve. So lots and lots and lots of pressure. Okay? And then we also have, I'm a head teacher of a school in South Yorkshire, which is one of the places most affected by a shortage of teachers. We have appetised for several jobs over the last few months, and no one has come to apply. We are starting the year with supply teachers, so not teachers that work here. And people like matths teachers and English teachers are teaching language subjects. So what could be done to get more people into teaching? How could we make teaching the best job than Bruce? What could we do to make it a better job? Money. More. We want more money. Do you think that would solve the problem? Again, more money. Why you think that would make teachers happier? Because in ordinary way, teachers will get a little dle. You don't have much pay. But if they have money more, they, well, it, because they can go to more vcation and buy more, more things they wanted to eat. Yes. So theyhave theybe much happier, wouldn't they? Much more expended. I love the idea. Brualice, what do you think, what do you think could be done to make teaching more fun, or make teaching the best job? What can we do to get more teachers into schools? 嗯,maybe the teacher, the, maybe the teacher can like, not be so serious to the students, like the student will be like, very scared of schools. Oh, so you think teachers, if they were a bit more fun, maybe the teacher had a little bit more fun themselves and were less strict, then maybe theyhave a nicer to, Oh, wow, this is controversial, Alice, but I liit that's a good thought. What you think, Alex? I think I think this again, more freedom time, let's work or free time, less working for the teachers. Yeah and why would that be such a benefit? Alex? Think about your mum if she had to bring less work. Yeah they they have lots of work. They have a lot of work. If they go too late in my in my my. They might not like it. Staying up is not good for too many bodies because not healthy. Is it not healthy? And what could a teacher be doing then, instead of doing all this marking? Alex, what could they do instead with their free time? They sleep sooner. They sleep sooner. Oh, that would be nice, wouldn't it? Sleeping would be nice. Yeah, Yeah, I like that. That's a really good point, Alex. Nice example as well. And Victor, what do you think? What else could we do for teachers to make it the best job? I think we can give teachers more money and give their let them have more education condition. Okay. And how do I do that, Victor? How do I get them a better educational condition? How do I make school environments better for teachers? Maybe school environment and have more equipment for children and for teachers to have entertainment. That's a good idea. Yes, they didn't feel like they're at work all the time. I get some entertainment and some equipment is, Oh, okay, this is good. Really good. Well done all four of you. Some nice ideas and stuff we might want na use for our activity today. So we're gonna prepare for our debates today. We're gonna think about this motion. A reminder, we're working as team selex. What you're doing, Alex alis singing for us. And so we want to make sure that we can hear everybody, okay? That we're not interrupting. We don't want to make sure that we listen to everyone's arguments today. I want to be able to get to the point where we can rebuttle, which I'll talk a little bit more about in a bit. Alice, which side would you like to debate on today? And negative side, you want to say, no, it is not the best job. Okay? No, it's not the best job. Excellent. Okay. Alex, are you there? Nope, okay, let's have your camera off the that x. Let's stay in class. You're doing so well Alex, would you like to say yes, it is the best job in the world and would you like to say no, no, it is the best in the word. Okay, Alex is also going to be joining you, Alice to debate on the negative team. So that means Victor, who's upside down now on the planet. Hello don't know how we're gonna to talk to you Victor upside down but there we go. And then Bruce, you're gonna say it is the best job in the world, okay? So we're gonna be doing both eyes, okay, talking right? So we're going to put you into teams. I want you to think about teamwork. That means working together, all right? I want you to think about what you're gonna to say. I want you to try to get to two minutes today, or one minute and 30 minutes. Okay? I want you to fill that time with at least three reasons for why you think this. I want you to think of examples. Maybe as Alex has his mom's a teacher. He can ask his mum maybe for some examples about what it's like to be a teacher. Yeah maybe we can use the Internet to find things where we find out why it's a good job or why it's not a good job. Yeah. Like that, Alice, you're ready. Yes, Alex. My dad is also a teacher. You've got so much research, Alice, and you are gonna have a lovely time figuring out what you're gonna say. My grandma, my grandma, you're the teacher too. You're just a family of teachers. Everyone's a teacher. Alex, so everyone's Alex, and you'll grant your your mama, my grandfather, my grandfather, my grandfather is a doctor. I was A A doctor. Wow, you've got very intelligent people in your family, Alex, doctor, and three teachers. So let's pop you into your rooms, okay, and get you ready to start talking together to get your debate. So Alex and Alice, you're gonna to go to the room. Bruce and Victor, you're gonna stay in here with me. So we wanna think about that. It is the best job in the world. So Victor and Bruce, I also want you to think about in your debate is how it could be the best job in the world as well. So in your debate, not only can you say what's good about it already, but you can also say, if we pay teachers more, it would be even better. Okay? So you can use that in your debate as a, well, I wanna make sure you're using different examples in your debate today. And obviously, you're going to have, in my opinion, I think, firstly, because, secondly, because, thirdly, because. In conclusion, because in concluconclusion, I think, Yeah, so we can do so. So we want to use this structure, all right, to help you, Victor and Bruce, I want you to talk to each other. Okay? Think about what you're gonna to say, Victor, Bruce, think about what you wanna say. I'll be back. I just wancheck on the other team, all but have a chat to each other. Hello, aleand, Alex. So Alex, let's try and stay in class when we're in the other rooms. So you're going to talk to your teammate. Are you there? Alex? Yes. Wonderful. Let's see you then Alex. So Alex knows you're there and she can chat to you. Hey, thank you so much. I kept so Alice and Alex, you're saying no, it's not the best job in the world. So we're gonna to be looking at all those negatives. Yeah it's just saying to the team, we want to be using things like in my opinion, I think firstly, secondly, because not the best, firstly because. Personbecause because we have teachers have a lot of work to do. We don't have enough time to rest and sleep. If they can't sleep well, the their health won't be too good, health won't be excellent. And Alice, Alex is going to talk about this work. What are you going talk about, Alice? Where have they gone? Alice, she disappeared. Hey, there's her beautiful face. Lastained glass, please. Okay, right. So, Alice, what are you going say? So Alex wants to talk about lots of work. What are you going to talk about, Alice? Let me see. And you can use this stuff on the board to help you as well. Maybe they have lots of drand. They like if you're a teacher, like a head teacher, you need to get lots of homework to like correct? So so much homework to correct, okay? And can be a lot of pressure. Excellent. Okay. So so far, Alex, you've got your first one. Alex, you've got your first one. I want you guys to talk to each other. Okay? I want you. You're working as a team, Alex okay so not drawing on the board we're working as a team okay and there we are we want na talk to each other because Alex we don't want you to say the same thing as Alex I want you to work together Yeah what are you gonna to say? What is Alice gonna say? Alright I'll be back 2s just checking on the other group okay how are we doing what we thinking about what we got so far? Go on, Victor. Okay, what are you thinking, Victor? What kind of things are you going to talk about? And we need to choose talk together, except we need to have the same thing. So what are you thinking about talking about, Victor? I think be a teacher, we can give them lots of money and make good, better condition for them. And there will be more teacher to to go to a school. There will be more guess. Excellent. Love that. That's a really good point to make. Bruce, what's your going to do? What's going to be your first point to make? What? Firstly, I believe that teachers can go on more vacation than we do, and they can go where they want. Secondly, they they can go a bit little late, but if they go, there's no traffic because the other people was already in their home, 30, 13. They if some teachers teach kindergartners, they can just rest and let them play so they get to play with them as well. Brilliant. What do you think of these, Victor? Do they work for you? Because when you're working as a team, so we must make sure that you're both happy with what you're saying. So Bruce is gonna to talk about vacations, traffic and obviously being able to play. Victor, you're gonna to talk about getting more money, better conditions. What else can you talk about, Victor, and want you to tell Bruce what else you're gonna to talk about in your team? And Bruce, you can help think about other things. You could talk about both of you, what things look at here, maybe other heroes to people. Do you think that's a good point to be bringing up together? Do you think it's nice they've got people to work with? Do you want to talk about that in your debate today? What do you think. Was Victor frozen? Oh, victitimare frozen, what do you think, Bruce, what do you think would be another good thing for your team to talk about? I don't know. Yeah, sure. Well, you have a chat with each other. We're back home to and check on the other team, talk through each other. What do you think would be good for your team when you're fighting together? Yeah. You can't win without both of you making a good point. Yeah. So Victor, think about another two things. You and Bruce can work together. Yeah, I want you to think about some other things you can think of back in 2s. Okay. How are we doing here? What else have we come up with? Alex and Alice, have we got some good arguments? Something might be very naughty. And and it will mwith the teaches emoand the help won't be well. Salad love that. Messing around with their emoalice. What else have you got? Because you want to make sure you two are talking about different things. You're working really well together. You won't become rich and you're like under a Microsoft. Like like if you're science teacher, maybe you need to wear glass because you need to like the microyes person. Good. All that is not good. Yes. Well, okay, brilliant. Excellent. So Alex and Alex, you can start to write now up your debate. Yeah write up what you're talking about. Yeah, amazing. Yeah, think about it. Yeah write up your debate. If you've got anything that you've been researching. So Alice, if you've found an expert or something then you can use that Alex, use your example from your from your mum as well. That's a great example to put in so you can also get some advice there as well. Okay, so grab everything you need Alice, if you are using some research, make sure you still put it in your own words. Okay? But you can quote someone, maybe you can find something that a teacher has said. Yeah being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs in the world because I have to do lots of hours. But make sure Alice is thin your own words. Okay, I'm gonna to bring you all back together in two minutes. Okay, how are we doing here, Victor? Hey, so what have we come up with? What is Victor going to say? So Bruce, you're going to be talking about these. What have you two decided Victor's going to be talking about? What things are you going to talk about, Victor? No, we can give teachers more money and better better skills for them to education and to entertain. Okay. Oh, yes, excellent. But what else you've talked about that victim? So brabruce and Victor, I just want we're going to do this as a team, okay? So we're going to do this all together because this is what I want you to get to is also team building, okay? So Bruce is talking about vacation and talking about kindergarten teachers having lots of fun and that there's no traffic when they leave school. Victor Caris talking about give them more money and give them better conditions and itbe better. So what else should we talk about, guys? Victor needs another two. What's the best things we should as a team be talking about, do you think? I think if he, if this mois a teacher and his son don't know how to write this homework, he can teach him and don't need to go to another like. Nothing. Don't need Yeah and they don't need to go to other classes. Okay, Victor, that could be of good point. Whatever other things could we talk about? Victor, I want you to see if Bruce and you agree on what you're gonna to talk about. What else can you talk about, Victor? Do you think teachers can be heroes? Do you think they've got good co workers? 儿童。Also got lots of benefits. They've can go on lots of trips. They've got good educations. They've kind have fun as a pe teacher. They've got lots of coworkers, lots of friends. What do you think, Victor? What else would you like to talk about? I need you to have another two. Oh, no, I think you're Internet, Victor. Not sure if he can hear us, Bruce. Oh, well, are there two things you're going to talk about, Victor? 当work and teacher will be a hero。Will be a hero. Yes. Is that okay with you Bruce? Does that work as well? I think that complements the two of you, doesn't it? Okay, right. You can now start writing up your debates. I'm gonna to grab the other two. Here we go. Hey, and we're all back in the same room. Okay, you've got some time now I'm going to hide this so that nobody can see each other's work. So you've got some time, Alice, Alex, Bruce and Victor to write up your debates. Okay? So make your notes for your debates and you can use this to help you. Okay? So you can use this structure here to help you. Yes, Bruce, I have a tummy ache. Oh no, you need to pop off for 2s, Bruce. Go, you can, Bruce, if you need to poto the bathroom, please do cohol, bless. Okay. So you've got a couple of minutes now. Get your debates ready. Yeah, I think do you want to use the ball Derx? Would you like to use the board alits? The board, you can use the board if you want to. Alice, well, I says the board, like we write. Haryou can write on the board. Alice, yes. Okay, Yeah. Victor, do you need the borders whenever you've got a pen and piece of paper there? Do you need to make your notes, Victor, to make your speech? Do you need the board or do you have a piece of paper there? We can turn to the place like we have our Yeah, it's fine. You can do whatever, whichever you want, either write it on the board or you can write it on a piece of paper. I you've got paper. Wonderful. Bruce is back as well. You're trying to spell enough alects. In one minute till our debate. So get your notes down. Use this structure to help you leave this on the board for you. You'll be able to use this structure if you've researched, use an expert opinion, maybe something someone has said, maybe you've got a statistic or percentage. Maybe you've asked your parents and they've said something very wise that you want to use in your debate. Maybe you have an example. Okay, right. Don't worry if you've not finished it up as long as you've got some notes. Okay. So Bruce and Victor, who's going first when who's going second in your team? Should do Bruce first and Victor second. Yeah should do that. Okay, amazing. So yes, it is the best job. And then Alice and Alex, who's going first and second in your team. Maybe you are going first your Alex is going to go first and then Alex is going go second okay brilliant so I'm going put this here second I'm gonna go second I'm gonna go you want to go second you want to go second okay gonna not gonna stop be round okay we're not going to move things around the board though okay so gonna pop a couple of your notes here okay Alex don't worry you're not going first first you arguing sort of second Bruce is gonna go first first today I'm gonna put the timer of one minute and a half on that collock for you I'm coming down okay Bruce are you ready? Bruce, your time starts now. You know about teachers, teacher job should be okay because teacher can go to vacation than widoes. And secondly, if teachers were in kindergarten, they can only see, they can sit on the chair and wait for them to play, and you don't need to do anything else. Sorry. If teachers go to go home too late, and they go by cars, there's no traffic, and they can quickly go home, force me and the next one. 牛。In conclusion or in conclusion, Bruce, in conclusion, I think the conclusion is I think teachers is the best job. Well done, baroit's a huge improvement on your last speech. You did Yeah. So many more structures in there. Bruce, it was clear you had reasons. That was fantastic. Okay, Alex, are you ready to counter argue? Alex? Okay, you are gonna to be fabulous, Alex, I've have no doubt. Okay, Alex, your time starts now. You don't have, I don't want to be teacher, teacher not better job, because because they don't have enough time to riride and sleep, if they don't sleep enough time, they there is not good for the help. And and second. Seven. Keep going, Alex. Think about what you were talking about in your group. They can't bring work home. Think about paperwork. 嗯,their parents their parents may major major didn't say them, just it like something you said or something. It just it just keep saying that you around or something, something something. Okay, okay, okay, keep going. Think about everything you said, Alex. Think about what it was about bringing work home. He coming, Alex. Finish your thought finish your thought. I want you to finish your thought. Yeah what happens when your mum m brings too much work home? How does she feel? I see she was not not very good, very sleepy and won't get a very high blexcellent. Well done Alex. Okay, Alex, you've got some great ideas. Writing your debate down in the preparation time, Alex is what's going to help you. Okay, write down everything you're gonna say on a piece of paper and then you're able to look at it and go firstly, secondly, thirdly. Okay, you have lots of ideas. I heard you talk about all these ideas Alex so we need you to write them so that you can use them in your debate okay, so that you can give me more than one reason in your debate but well done Alex. Your Alex your first one was fantastic. I know Alex but we're we're practicing that's why we pryeah you don't have to be perfect. Yeah that's why we're gonna keep practicing. Alright, right. Well done. It's just reminding ourselves of more than one point. Yeah you came up with some good examples, Alex in our discussion. So I want to make sure that gets into your debate as well. Well done. Okay, Victor, are you ready to challenge Alex? Okay, Victor, your time starts now. I think teacher isn't isn't the best job in my stly. I don't think teachers are do not have enough time to sleep isn't a problem because because the headmaster can can can let them sleep enough and and don't let them to be too serious. The school can school can give teachers more condition for them to, for them to to rest because for example, to give you, give them some some equipment for them to to relax and entertain diwe. We can also let them have enough vacation, because if it let them have vacation, there will be more teachers to come to this school. In conclusion, I think, I think teacher is the best job. With well done on using those those structures. Yeah you gave a reason for every single one. Yeah and what was nice was your counter argument to Alex. You addressed one of Alex's point. You said, well Alex, actually I don't agree with you. Well done Victor. Nice counter arguing. Okay, Alex, are you ready? Okay, Alice, your time starts now. In opinion, I think teacher is not the best stop because firstly you won't become rich because lots of lots of work, lots of jobs instead of instead of teacher, they have lots of money. And secondly, you need to correct lots of homework because because if you have, because if you are teacher or the head teacher, you need to correct lots of homework from the student. I need to look at every every question is the same or is correct or incorrect. And certainly in the headmaster ster can give you lots of work, because maybe the, maybe don't do, you will. So the head still al give you a lot of work to do. In conclusion, I think teacher is not the best job. Yes. Alis, really nice. Alice, what I really liked about yours? Yeah. One, the structures. Yeah. So all of those structures really nice. And Alice, what was also nice as well is you compared it to like, another job. You've done a little bit of research, I can tell Yeah and thought about the fact that other people said, Alice, your next bit okay for you is, for example, when you say other jobs are paid more, for example, a doctor can be paid 55000 while a teacher is paid 28000. Okay? So what you can do, alit, is you can find this when you do your research before class or in class. Yeah and you can find examples the same for all of you. Yeah we can think about finding ways to make our argument even stronger. Okay, very, very well done. I have some questions now to open the floor. Okay, Alex, my first question to you. You talked about this idea of teachers being tired, okay, after school. But Alex, they finish at 3:00p.m.. Surely they have loads of time to sleep. You're on mute, Alex. We can't hear you, Alex. My my when school some people go there. Go there doing homework and about 45 minutes and and some people some some people some days did my my my teacher the do put some people back write homework on time and and my teacher have to have to wait until have the homework in time and some and some of the week we. Every day, some people will clean up the whole classroom and and and someday every week. We some people just clean clean up after after all the people has gone so so so our teacher have to wait so many so long and then they can go home. Okay. Okay, good point. Well done, Alex. A nice answer to my question. Bruce you talked about in your debate about kindergarten teachers and that they can have some fun. Yeah if they can swatch them play. Bruce, what if some of the kids start fighting, then teachers have to still be working. Do you find that can be a problem with being a teacher, or do you still think it can be fun? I think it can be still fun. The teacher can use his phone to call the parents and the parents will know it and use the phone to tell the kindergartners, you be stay detention and don't do this again. And then the teacher can go rest and they can go and play. Oh, good answer. Getting the teachers involved. Are parents involved? Oh, I like that answer. Bruce. Okay, Alice, I, you talked about in your debate, Alice, about this idea of doing other jobs and being better paid. So but isn't a teacher choosing this job because they like teaching students? And isn't it not always about money? What do you think, Alice? I don't know if you can hear me, Alice. You talked about us getting better paid jobs, but isn't teaching more than just money? Isn't teaching also about you know, teaching students? Do you think teachers having more pay is is a problem? Okay, why? Because like if teacher need more student work, but Alice, surely they don't do the job full pay. They do the job for other reasons. Surely the pay isn't the biggest part of teaching. If you lean for Alice, what you're looking at there at the moment, I just leave alone and stay in class for me for one more minute. Yeah and can you tell me don't teachers don't care about pay, do they? But they do it just because they enjoy teaching. Yeah, I think so. You might think so. Okay, right. So we're not sure it's just all about the pay. Victor, final question before I reveal the winner. And Victor, you talked about this idea that actually they we could have better conditions for teachers. What better conditions could they have? I think they can have more money, more better or better condition for them to play and also let them have enough time to speak. Nk, thank you very much, Victor. Yes. Alex, final thought of today. What are you going to say, Alex? I don't really think our teacher enjoy the job because my teacher don't because I don't think my teacher likes the job because the others don't keep making her mad. Oh no. Well I on miss note, I am gonna to say I love my job. I think teacher is the best job and I'm sorry you have an angry teacher. But Alex Bruce, Victor, Alex, wow. Amazing. You've used new structures today. You've worked as a team that will build you're get more confident in talking to each other. Okay. You have come up with some fantastic reasons, and you've answered my questions beautifully. And today's debate is. A draw today. Well done. You both won today's debate. Alex and Alex, you talked so brilliant. Alex, your answers to my questions is what got that draw as well? Okay. But Alex, are you using all of those structures really researching was brilliant. Bruce and Victor, you worked as a team and what was great to see was, again, you given me lots of reasons why it was the best job and you came up with different reasons, each of you. So I'm very proud of all of you today. Well done. Our first war of our force. There won't be many of those. Well, the next weeks 's debate will be, do you have to win to be successful? Research, well, research. But no, no, I, I we're gonna no, no, no, no, no. You got, you got, you got when you, when you try, when you try harder, your, your success. I know I know Alex we're gonna you're gonna debate this you gonna try harder than your success even if you don't want to competition you need your yourself Alex we're going to debate it next week. Keep all your good thoughts for yourself. Research both sides. You are going to debate for both sides next week. There will not be teams next week. So just keep in mind I know very exciting. Bruce, Victor, Alex, Alex, have a wonderful week. I am so proud of all of you, thank you, so, so, so, so, so, so much. 早哟,拜E拜。
