Eyes the way how. Don't hear you. Have you also just put a snack in your mouth, by any chance? I can't hear you, so Yeah you okay. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Hi, Mason. Hi. There we are. How are you today, Zoe? Good. That had a question. Good. I think what have you having for dinner, Zoe? But what have you got for a snack there? What are you eating? My brother's food you make to go bread this food. What's your brother gonna eat? If you're eating all his food, I don't blame you. Is he a toddler? So is he younger than you? Yeah, Yeah, how old is your brother? Oh, he's so tiny. Oh, how many brothers or sisters do you have sewing? She's got one brother, one year old brother. Wow, Mason, how are you today? I'm fine today. Yeah we have pclass, but the pg, but in Beijing it a little bit cold. I'm like, I do not have pea. I do not really enjoy outside. It's too golden Pathan way. But is it? We've got snow wy yet? Mason, well, never. You never have. Is it too cold for snow? Does it get too cold for snow? We we do have snow to this year, but we had some snow last year. It was really big. Oh wow, we get snow, but our snow is rubbish. And I would say our snow is more like mud and ice mixed together, sludged up and put on the road. It's really minging. It's not nice at all. And you slip and you slide and it smells our snows disgusting. So I think I'd like to go and see your snow raiser. I reckit's so much nicer. Mason, do you have any brothers or sisters? Well, no, brothers, sisters. So you're an only child. I always want it to be an only child. I' M1 of five. I have five. I four younger brothers and sisters. Yeah. There was a big household when I was going up. Yeah, I was one of five. I'm the eldest of five as well. Yes. Oh, Jadon's in a new spot today. We'll to you today. But Jaden Renee, how are you today? You're fine. Like every day I'm fine. And what have you been up to today, Renee? Going to school? You went to school. Yeah. And what about urree? Do you have any brothers or sisters? No, you're also an only child like Mason. It's quiet in your house then. That's quite nice. I like I said, I always want to be an only child. I have too many brothers and sisters. I jdid you're in a new place or your camera's in a new spot. You look like you're in an office, Jaden. Oh, you're all mute. There we are, my actual home. It's your actual home. But jacason, we can hear you a little louder today as well, which is quite good. Jyou have a brother, don't you? You're right. Peter, I have it. You see here. Damah, that's your brother. Hi, little brother. I've seen your little brother before. You're very cute. Cute. That is so cute. How old is your brother, jden? Three years old, three years old. Wow. So Zoe and jade and have brothers and sisters. Mason and Renee are a very quiet house. They get the rule of the roofs in their houses. I love it. I love how people's families are different. It's what makes us so unique, right? Right today we are going to be looking at fluent speech. We're going to learn how to take notes during or before the debate and how to practice fluency. And this is making sure our debate floats, okay, that we can speak without hesitation. So rule number one, never, never, never write out a debate speech in full. Why? Why do you think we should only have bullet points or that we should only make a skeleton of our debate? Mason, why do you think we shouldn't just do every single debate? Maybe we like, well, we read the read the words in the debate. Maybe we have more thinking and we can add the words. And excellent. It's okay, ree. You've written out your debate. You've delivered us your debate and then so we needs to come up with her debate. Okay, she's written as well. You've both written out this full debate. However, Zoe, during the debate, ree says something that you've written down. You've gone all that was A A point. And I are gonna to have to change your debate because Renee, I say, say it was something about like, school uniform should be banokay. And Renee says in the middle of the debate, well, school uniform is ugly and itchy and causes lots of problems for students. You Zowe might have not written any of that in your debate, and you might be like, Hanon a minute, I need to rebuttle her. And so you now need to change your debate and you need to say, well, Renee just said about them being itchy, however, I disagree. So we've got to be able to change our debate quite quickly. Yeah so we've got to be able to think on our feet quick thinking when it comes to our debates. Yeah. Jada, why else do you think writing a debate out in fulcwhat? Some places though, I will say, depending on the debates, you're doing, world school debates, we should write them out. But why, jade, do you think in particular, the negative team shouldn't write a full debbater? What does a negative team have to do to the affirmative team? Maybe convince them to do some key factors for people in the affirmative team, that their motion is wrong and so they shall listen to their motion. And so exactly. So if I have a motion beforehand and I'm going to deliver a speech as the first speaker, I might write my speech out in full, or at least make very heavy bullet points, because as the first speaker of the the positive team, I'm not gonna to be rebutttled at that moment in time because I'm stating the motion, I'm stating the definition of points, I'm stating what the team is is putting forward. But the first speaker of the negative team, in particular that first speaker of the negative team, you're going to have to really actively listen to what the affirmative team is talking about because you're going to have to rebutstle them. You've got to make notes. There is nothing rude in a debate if you're listening, but you are making notes as they're speaking. Okay, well, they said this, and I don't like that point that I said this, but actually I've got research here that says that's wrong. We should always have pen and pieces of paper with us when we're debating Yeah or iPads, depending on how fancy your debate is. But you should be constantly thinking, I need to question them on this. I need to rebuttle that point. I'm gonna na put that in my speech now, because that is incorrect. So you can't have a full speech. But if you're the first speaker, I would, whenever I am in a competition, as the first speaker, I write my entire speech out. But if I'm the second, third or on the negative team, I cannot. I can simply have my research. I can have my bullet points, I can have my definitions, I can have what my team speakers might talk about, okay? But what I can't do is I can't write it because otherwise you've got no room to change it. This is debating, not essay writing or reading. Debating should engage the audience by eye contact, body language, or cleave and communication. You can't predict everything your opponents are going to say. So you can't write down everything, and you can't not address what people are doing. Yeah. So what should we do but have one the main point per card. So we can have you can have cards, you can a piece paper doesn't make any difference which one. And essentially what you can put on this to say the motion is about school uniform and I've decided that I'm going na put school uniform and I can put on here ugly. Okay. So on my point card, I've literally just put ugly. So then when I come to speaking, I can say my first point is that they're ugly. And then on my ugly, I can then use a spider diagram if I want to, or I can make little notes in the corner, whichever works for you. And I could put down ugly colitchy, smells oversized, don't look flattering, you know, really uncomfortable, hate the tie. And so you can start to think about these are all the things you're gonna to make regarding this subject. So it's just bullet points on a peak on a card and then you can have your next card could have they're expensive so I can put expensive and I can think jumper cost 26 pounds parents can't afford end up second hand we could have bad quality and then you can make your main point and then you can have a few bullet points you're going to talk about okay then you can use these cards. So then if your opponent said something about price that you're like, I'm going to rebuttle that you can then make notes on the card and be like address jder's point that second dhand clothing is all okay. So we want to make those bullet cards. This is your next task for yourselves. So written on one side of a card only clearly numbered in order. Use bullet points instead of four sentences and have approximately at times marked. So I'm going to speak about this point for three minutes. I'm gonna to speak about this point for two minutes. So you know how long your debatgoing on, okay, how long you're going to spend on each moment. So for example, Australia is an island located in the South Pacific and Indian oceans. What would you write to remind you of this information? So, so, e, what could you write on a card to remind yourself of this point? Where Australia is. Excellent so I'm going to put probably on my card. I'm sorry you can't really see it but see if I can take my no one's there's no reason why I can't take my background off nothing in here today. There we go. It's just my Harry Potter stuff. Okay, so I can put on this card now Australia on my card. I put it here or I could put it at the top and then what I can do is just put a bullet point and I can go an island and then I can put South Pacific and indidonean. Okay. So then when I come to my debate, I can be like, Australia is an island in South Pacific and the Indian Ocean, it's located below the equator. So I could just stick the equator on here. So all I've got on my card is the word Australia. And then I've just got my three bullet points about it. Okay. So this is a great way of remembering your debate. It's a great way of creating it, especially if you're in competition and you've only got 15 minutes to prepare. Yeah, we don't want large amounts of money. So there we are. Sorry, you caught my writis really bad. Ironically, a whole lesson today is about handwriting. And my handwriting is awful. So Yeah so we can have that on each card. So you can have five or six cards. You can have 20 cards if you want them, as long as they're clear. Each of your team members then means that I could take my card. Obviously I'm using a notebook, but I could take my card and I could slip it to speaker two. Yeah, like that, Jaden. And then I could take if I put them on cards, I could take my card and I could give it to speaker two if I feel like I've not got round to all my points and maybe they're struggling in their debate and you could slip them a card because you wanna work as a team. Okay. But well, then, Zoe, thank you very much for ourselves. Perfect. So Australia, island, Pacific, Indian, Yeah, like that. Rennee, yes. Yes, exactly. So the small index cards make them easier to handle. So I'm using a book, but index cards are easier. So sometimes I don't have index cards. Sometimes I use in my debates I use post sted notes because I find posted notes much easier for me. Okay, okay. You have one minute to write down some key information in your index card and repeat the information. Okay, so we're going to write down the keywords to remind you. So where is. Okay, we didn't need that one right now, so I'm going to put some ideas onto the board. Okay, so I'm going to give you some information, all just random information. Let's random facts ago. So one of them is going to be about weather in the uk. So the information I'm going to give you is the uk have four seasons, winter, summer, spring and autumn. Scotland is the coldest, south England is the warmest and Wales is always wet. Okay, so I'm gonna to give you one minute, I want you to see that information and I want you to make it into bullet points onto a piece of paper or card or book and I just want you to write down the keywords to remind you I'm going to do it as well. Are the keywords on the keywords from here? Yes. So information from the board that helps you remember this fact without writing it all out. Okay, Jaden. Amazing. Yeah jden, tell us what have you got on yours? Show us tell us. I got uk, four seasons, Scotland, colded close, England, warmest wealth, wet, perfect. Excellent. Okay, Renee, how have you put your notes down? Well done, jade. That was perfect. Oh, you're on mute now at ready. You weren't on mute, but now you are on mute. See what you did? Okay, ree, what have we got on yours? You can have four seasons, Scotland coldest, south England warmest, wells wet, sort of ree. And you can also on yours four seasons. You know what those four seasons are? So you can even make that even shorter. Four seasons, you know, winter, summer, spring. Yeah, perfect. Exactly. Well done, Renee. Okay, Mason, how have you put your information down? Both season, the scotcolses South English warmest well, sweat perfect Yeah and in no way how you put yours. Are uk, winter, summer, spring, autumn, Scotland, Colden, south England. Waras, well, well done. Excellent. So again, well done Zoe. And here, just so ever to see mine that I did, there we go. I've just put uk, and I've just put, you can't see x. My handwriting is so awful, and it's back to front. Theon, here, but again, four seasons. Scockhold, southeast, south England, warm, Wales wet. I've even abbreviated. So I've just put se for south England. Okay? So if I could have that card, then my next piece of information would be on this card, my next piece of information on that one, and so on and so forth. Okay? So then I know what I'm writing. What I will write out in one of these cards is my address. Like, good evening, ladies and gentlemen. My motion today is because I will just read that that's not me thinking. And then what I can do is as I am talking and as someone's making the oppponents are making their point, I could also be writing on another card anything I want to address as a rebuttal or any questions I've got for them. Okay, because that that can be a great way of keeping up with the debate as well. Okay? So we should be consistently writing throughout our debate. And like I say, it's not rude to be looking down and writing, because actually that means you're actively listening to someone else's debate today. Focus presentations, more natural your speech, the better it sounds. Sometime feeling nerves makes us speak in a fast pace. We do speak faster when we're nervous, but try and slow it down, take a deep breath. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Own the room. You are the most important person in that room when you are speaking, okay? And the ultimate goal, volume. Don't want to speak like this, because I can't hear anything you're saying, but if you speak like this, you're too loud. And I can't understand what you're saying. So we've got to be in that nice place, okay? A nice tone, a nice volume, but we must project, especially if you're know a big haul, okay? Parents are probably wondering if I'm shouting at you. I am not. And speaking like this, I have my first point. My first point is that uk is for season. Scotland is the coldest and southeast of England is warm. Thank you very much. I have no more else. Motion jd, we need motion otherwise it's boring. You're gonna send me to sleep. I don't want na sleep. Yeah, I think about Yeah we need exexactly. We need emotion. We've got an example here of speech and we're going to think about we've got to watch three examples of a simple speech give comment to each one and decide which one is best and why. Okay, so let's have a little look at this. Good afternoon. Hello everyone. I'm sorry I've lost my place. Oh, here we are. Congratulations Steve and your new bride on your wonderful wedding day. We've had good weather for it. I'd just like to start by well, I'm going to start with with with telling a story about do you remember when we were at school together? Well, it's kind of a joke as opposed to a story. Well, good afternoon everyone. What a lovely ceremony it was. Firstly, I'd like to start by saying congratulations to Briden groom, Steve and Sophie, or now Mr and misses Johnson and as we'll all have to call them, okay, right. May said, what was wrong with the first example? What went wrong in that speech? No, we thought that was good. Mason, what was wrong with that first speech? The man taking speeche's always like doing that, like breaking the speech. And what hadn't he done? And may said, what had he not done with his cards? Where is my card? Where is your card? My ds, well, I can't find them. So now I'm lost. Goodness me, you know, you might as well just do this. Any speech is give the dad's useful. Yeah. Well, well done. Waiting, ree, what's wrong with the second speech? What was wrong with his second speech he made? What was the wrong with the second break in this? He seems to break in one sentence and can't find his cause either. Mean I have a speech for you. I think today I did prepare. I'm not sure. So I think that school uniform is well, I suppose what do you think? You think I think Yeah. Okay. So that's not a good speech is it? That's not going to win you any points because I'm confused on what you want. Yeah. So Yeah, let's not do our speeches like that. Let's not do them. My, that jdon what's quite good about this elasexample? Why is this a good example? Things he just didn't didn't break the whole entire seand. He just don't like like that. And he don't draw his card. He adthat normal and he is speaking complete sentences. Yes, exactly. And he's not hiding the fact. He's using his cards as a prompt, right to we're allowed to do that, but he's not doing 1s. If you in a debating competition, I can tell you for a fact, your team would have to do a lot of work to fix what you've done. Okay? If you're the first speaker in particular and you are spending all of your time doing this, the examiners will just, the judges will be like, now, no. So your team would have to do a lot of work to gain back points. So just think about that when you're it's about confidence and that takes time. It takes a lot of time to have confidence that what you've written in the note and it takes time to think is, are these notes the best notes you've made for yourself? Because I've read back my notes in debates and gone, oops, I can't read it. And I'm not sure what a point I was making. And you have to then be confident enough to think, how am I gonna na get out of this because my notes haven't made any sense. So you've got to make sure these notes make sense to you. They don't have to make sense to anyone else. They have to make sense to you. This is also, by the way, a good way of revising for your exams. So win win in this method. Yeah, okay, always miss to read that so so today's motion there we are beautiful haroying ree is it important to improve your handwriting? Well we'll see what we so we're gonna now we're gonna go now and so our of okay guys I'm going to tell you how today is going to work you are all gonna have ten minutes for this debate and you are allowed to debate you are allowed to debate for or against this motion. We're actually going to do this first of all, with no chatting, and then we're going to talk afterwards. Seems a weird way around. But promise me, I promise you, this is a new skill we're doing. So you are going na have ten minutes, okay, to think of your information, of what you would like to say, and then you're going to make your case. So, ree, you're going to come down and you are going to make your speech. You're going to make your three minute speech. What's then going to happen is me, Zoe Mason and jden are gonna gonna to become the negative speakers on the other side, okay? So we're gonna we're gonna to disagree with whatever you say essentially reokay. And what we will do is we will actively listen to your debate and we'll be making notes, okay, that's not to not to say that you've done badly in your debate, but we're going to make notes and we are going to try and find reasons why you're wrong, okay, without really having any time to prepare and we're then gonna to make our bullet points and then we're going to quiz Renee we're going to rebuttle Renee and we're going to do it with no preparation to the of team. You can Jaden, you absolutely can be the affirmative. So but you can do that when you're speaking. So you you'll be here and then Renee will be here and we're all gonna be against you whatever. If you say yes, it is important. We're all gonna to say no. If you say no, it's not important. We're all going to say yes. Okay. And what it is, it's practicing from our side, Oh no, practicing from our side to be able to actively listen and try and find reasons why this debate perhaps we want more information, we want more questions, we want to rebuttle and we're going na learn how to rebuttle what I call on the fly. That means as you're listening, how can I rebutthis motion jden's job as the speaker is obviously to give as much information to us and deliver it with good pace, without fumbling, but with only your notes. Yeah without writing our speech. Okay. So that's how we're going to do today. And we have fun. It doesn't matter if it all goes wrong. Yeah, it's says new skill takes a while and we're gonna be fine. So let's give I think ten minutes is actually too long. Let's do eight minutes of preparation. You can be on either side. You can agree with this motion. You can disagree with this motion. Okay, we're not going to know. We're not going to be revealed until the end. Some ideas for you. Yeah think about is it necessary? Do we need it? Does it help us understand what someone has written? I guess my writing is atrocious. Yes. Jokay, Yeah, I can give you a pen. En, of course I can give you a pen. Okay, here we go. Anyone else would like a pen to write anything on the board? You can all have a pen. As long as you're sensible with your pen, you could have a pen. And if we have time, you can also debate me. If we have time, I'm going to make sure you guys go first. We'll see what we are at the end. We'll see we are at the end. At the very end, jdan's already trying to get everyone on side. Again, this is allowing you to use any kind of research. So if you do want to check anything or use, like I say, chatgbor anything to get some answers for this, please do. Well, everyone's agreeing or okay, my advice would be instead of ticking on the board of loads of agree, I would start to put your notes together. You've now got seven minutes and we've spent one minute of that writing agree on the board. Are you drawing it? I was going say, are we doing our notes guys, or are we just drawing on a board? You've got five and a half minutes. Hope you're not. I hope you're not ruining your five and a half minutes. The way you're gonna to have to do a lot of quick thinking. I would start making some notes. I think I'm gonna to take these pens away. I'm gonna take these pens away. I think. Hzigone, come on the way. You don't have any time. Five minutes. You had eight. Now you've got five. I've already got two cards ready. We are going to battle you. You might battle me. Jden, if we have time, yes, but only if we have time. It can start. It can start. We can start. We can start. We can start. We can start. But I am ready in case. Me too. Great, Jadon, check that you've got bullet points. So is that why Jon's drato the board? He's got his already. Three and a half minutes. That points. Follow for opinions and. Where has the document come? What done with me document? Or there it is. We've got two minutes we can start now. So when neis ready Mason and Zoe are still scribbling away. That's fine. Ready you're ready. I think Zoe's doing here. Irs that's fine. Just we that's why we've got the time. I know you're ready is Zoe are you ready? If you need the time though Zoe you take you are ready. Everyone's ready. Why are you sitting and then wait it and that's fine. That's fine if you need the time. So you take the minute, Yeah, we don't rush, we let everyone have their baby, but you're just writing the seyou know, air some sleep busomething. What you want to ask Mason? To add something. Oh, you can add something yet. Do you want a couple of couple of seconds? You put 30s on. Okay. Okay, okay, right. Let's bring us down. Who should we have first? Any volunteers to go first today? Mson, well done against my Oh, do you do we just scratching a red? Okay, we'll do it fairly ning, we'll do it fairly ning. We'll do a random ator. This I thought you would be really brave base. Okay, right, let's do that. Mason entered a big anyway, it was meant to be okay, right. Mason is in the hot seat again, you can agree or disagree. Remember guys on this side over here, we are going to be the opposition to whatever Mason states, okay? And we're gonna to be finding pitholes in his argument. We're gonna to be making notes as Mason is speaking and thinking about questions or rebuttalles. Okay, Mason, this says three minutes on here. But don't worry, if we don't make it through, it doesn't matter. Okay? This is more about understanding making notes. This is much more about understanding making these. Okay, right Mason, get your time. It's not nine minutes, your tybasin is on the clock. Okay, my name is and do they I think it is really not important to improve your writing first it will slow your speed. If you write, you have to trace the letters correctly and and it would take 30 30s for you to write a sentence. But if you squbble down some notes, it will only take 10s a test if you you and the time limyou won't finish. But if you scroll and try to be a little bit neemaybe, maybe the instructor can read your letters and you can finish in time. Also the only thing that matters things in the text, even though even do you write ugly, but but the thing matters like use a lot of adjective words and like strong things to support your opinion, then then it make a goal writing. But if you very, but you just write like simple sentences, like, I like apple, I love bananas, I hate oranges and that won't make you. Past test or do something also also like in the future, you can see the technology is improving and and people will use more electrical device electrical devices. You just type in the letters and you actually do not need to write what's your hand? So so in the future, write handwriting is not a very important thing in people's lives. So so I think it is important to improve your writing. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Mason. Yes, Renee. I think, well, I don't think that you need to write. You don't have to improve your handwriting, because if your handwriting is bad and you're in exam, the teacher might not know what you writing. And then you have no, I say my more specifically, like writing writing nuclear scrimming, scribbling can scribbling can be neatly scribbling or or ugly scribbling. You cannot write like in a tiyeah. Everybody cannot know. You can write the letters clearly, but write like up and down, that is okay because like the instructor can see that. And I've got something to speak. Mason, so and Lisa here from the opposition team, you talked about obviously this writing being something that is valuable, but surely we should be moving towards technology and that actually handwriting should now be something of the past. Like shouldn't we just be teaching our children how to use computers and typing up everything? You can do that because in the future it will be like in this routine, but but you can also like talk them about the old culture because in China we still like things like the people that the people like 5000 years ago in China. I like the mylegend. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Mason. Anything else from us opposition team? Yes, speaker Jaden. I broken my Toth. Oh we okay do. You need to get anyone to help Jaden. No, you didn't. Just go and wash it out. Okay. Okay. Yeah, you go do what you need to do, Jaden. Yeah if you need to pop off, whatever. And my goodness bless you as long as you're not in too much pain. Yeah. Oh bless. I've broken my tooth. It's not a fun exercise. Oh bless. It's fine. We'll we'll leave jade until last so so that he can figure himself out. So Jason, just come back when you're ready. Okay. Okay. Any others for oppositions to opposite Mason? Zoe, have you got anything? Yes, Zoe. Nothing. Okay. We are going to vote we anybody that agrees with Mason and believes that he's now convinced you, please raise your hand at. Gonna to stick to their team. Anyone that believes that the opposition has been able to find holes in his debate, please raise your hand. We've got no hands for either side. Okay. So this what happens in here is the chair now will decide whether the opposition was able to grill you enough, Mason, or whether you were able to stand your ground. And I've got to say, Mason, I think you were able to stand your ground. I think you did extremely well. I think you answered all of our questions successfully. I think you delivered a really good speech and considering you only did it with notes as well for the first time, I think you did a Mason job. Well done, Mason. Okay, let's move this around. Let's have Zoe. I can see I thinking not being not being not big. Okay, Zoe is now on the hospot. Okay, so reminding ourselves guys on the opposition side, we are trying to make sure that Zoe has to rebuttle us at the end, okay? She has to hold her ground. We want na keep asking questions. We want to keep thinking about what she said and re ask those questions. Keep going. Okay, right. Zoe, your time to present your argument begins now. I think it is not important to, I think it is important to improve my handwriting because in the following reasons. Firstly, if you're doing assessment and if you write very badly, teacher might miss look at your handwriting and think it's another letter or a work. Secondly, writing goodly might help you with good Grof academic or professional performance. And thirdly, writing Goodney is also a very important skill and writing. And if you're in a huge test, the examiner cannot read what you write if you write very, very badly. So even you have all the correct answers, but you have no credit. And you can also, if you improve your handwriting, you could also learn a new skill. Concluso, we a we know you finished. So due into in conclusion, I think. So you're to put that into the end of your debate, Zoe. So we all know when you finish. So in conclusion, so in I think that it is important to improve my handwriting. Well done, Zoe. Absolutely fantastic. Okay, this is now going over to the opposition side. Pzowe speak alsa here on the opposition side, you talked about improving handwriting being important. But surely there are more important subjects and skills that we should be developing. Is handwriting really that important? Like you could do some, like you could also improve different subjects at the same time as you improve handwriting. Like you can both improve them, then you have both skills of doing both things. Okay, alright, right. Amazing. Thank you very much. Opposition. Any other questions? Any other rebutstles please? Yes. Speaker Mason, four questions. So the first one that if if there is no time, if you run Italy, then what will you do? Sometimes that writing nely can also write very fast stly like writing cursive writing, and it is also a kind of good writing. So it is also very fast. Okay, also like as you said, like if you if you write in writing ting, then if you then if the instructor do not know how to write this an is also a type of fighting ugly. You can control how you write things and if you think you writes very badly, you could erase it and write it again. 嗯okay, okay. Okay. So why do you you mentioned about professional performance, so why do you need professional performance, not just normal or great performance? On professional performance, you can have it. So like you have good writing handwriting, like not bad or not. Not good, but better than good. You can have. Yes Mason, your next question, what other users are writing after writing me fully? Well, you could write, write write a letter, write diaries, things like that. Okay, okay. So if people do not use writing but only type on computers and phones, then then then is the culture of writing even but still I'm typing on typing on electric devices nowadays we have AI, so we don't really have to type by ourselves. So if you have to do a test, a big test or an assessment, you still need handwriting. Then then if like then it's like there's a homework on typing and you do not even know how to type. You just know how to write what you do. You could tell the teacher or like you could just write down and tell AI to help you generate into typing. I'm just going to check Mason. Go on, call Mason. Like if you write write an ugly position and and even you write an ugly position, but when you go to computer, you can tie better than writing easily than what do you think dionds like if you improve, you would make sure that you write very goodly, then you would choose to write neatly. But if you don't if you don't know how to learn it or know how to do it, then maybe you just don't want to give up and don't want to write. But okay. Okay, well done. Well done. Well done. So, ree jden, do you have anything from the opposition? You're like maa, yes. Jated, no, no, no. Well, well done. So E, I think you held your own with Mason. Okay. For those that believe that Zoe has convinced them that her point of view is correct, after that grilling from Mason, raise your hand. Jon's raising his hand a believe, and Renee's raising her hand. Well done, Zoe. Yeah, well done, Mason. Excellent rebuckling. Yeah. You put up a really good fight to Zoe. She really had to fight her call. And this is what we want in debating. How a minute you said this, but you said that. But do you think this is good, but don't understand? Make the affirmative team work. Remembers the opposition. We have to disprove them. So they need to keep explaining it to us, okay? The affirmative team need to need to also attack, but actually the opposition team needs to go much more aggressively into their well than Zoe. Okay, Renee, okay. Jden, would you like to go next? Is that what you're offering? Yeah we can do you Jason we can help you jden and still know if you're with your tooth. Do wanted the little more at th time we'll do that. Okay. Jden jden up and we're gonna have Renee two more to go. I don't think we'll have time for me to do mine. I'm I have to do mine next week. Yes jyou're okay, I couldn't just say the vobulum no, you couldn't just hear everywhere because my thesis book, that's fine. You just do what you can. Jdenhere, just do what you can. Okay? Jden, your time starts. I. So hi, my name, Susan. So today I'm agreeing with the motion that it's important to improve your handwriting. My psychologists and neutrent scientists and education experts firmly believe that improving handwriting is crucial, especially for personal growth and academic development. According, I'm going to say, three experts. The first one is ria vderer, researcher at the noruniversity of land and technology, E. G. Research shows that how will you make the boy more active than he handworking king activates senses multiple, such as weatouch establish more neutral connections. I prevent the rain from extrating the maximum potential. The second one I'm going to say is stanless stanfor lot psychology at University, friends, handwriting triggers A A unique, neutral, special cognitive pattern, enables people to think more smoothly. And the third one is toric Caris, the handwriting teacher. Headwriting is a reflection of the personality and can also booyour confidence. And for food, for headwriting ding itally, one's place is better in the children's age. Like for example, if a, if a child at school, your clamates right, do handwriting and write some words extremely well. But he will usually be prazy, because in the teachworld, the key is extremely well at this. So I think that to summarize, I support emoof important to improve your writing. So thank you very much. Speaking, thank you very much. Speaker jden here, Lisa, from the opposition team, you talked about self confidence. You said it can build self confidence. Can you explain this further? Why do you think it can build self confidence? If you do some handwriting, it would give you a sense of satisfaction. And the word is your pants is a pencil to write it and you have confidence. Like it just just practice in a textbook and at the exam, you wouldn't just be scared. You be confident and your Marks will be high in the total. Again, thank you very much. Speaker jade. Speaker Zoe, you had your hand up. What question or rebuttal do you have? Speaker Zoe, you're on mute. You have just mentioned development and can you talk further further about what does on what handwriting have to do with development? So what does handwriting have to do with developing your brain? Okay. Firstly, the handwriting can just no, you can just write with your hands and you can sing at the same moment to analytical thinking or critical thinking and problems that your dreams. Sometimes your brain is hot wires. You can think when you rise and it's it doubles the workforce. So Europeans yours genes inside you and the molecules inside you will just will be benefited things. So I will say that this handwriting is closer. Have a connection with amazing. Thank you very much. Speaker jent. Okay, those in favor and believe in speaker jden's points, can we raise our hands? I am. I think you have some very good expert opinions. Jaden Mason is as well. Okay? Those for the opposition who think that the oppositions questions were able to rebuttle effectively against Jaden. Hey, so Zoe and ree, I'm gonna take it you're not sure. So that means jden by default it becomes yours. Well done. Okay, ree, our last one today. Okay, ready. So Renee, your time. Well done jden. Well, with zobe, your question was fantastic. Renee, your time starts now. I think improving your handwriting is essential because firstly, and they are more convenient, because if you're a student and do an exam, having a good handwriting can make sure that the teacher know what you are writing, and also, if you are a teacher and your handwriting is bad. The children will know what you are doing. And in some exams, having good handwriting can count in some points. It can be so it can improve your overall points in that exam also. If you have a good handwriting, the people who are looking at it will feel more comfortable, because if your handwriting is ugly, people will know what you're doing, and that is not a very good first impression. Also, I think that we should improve our handwriting because technology is, although technology can improve our everyday lives, it can also there many people use using technology to do bad things. And and then if your, if your emails or something is being stolen, like, am I being stolen? Then there won't be any. Privacy in our lives. So in conclusion, I think improving your handwriting is essential. Thank you very much. Speaker Renee. Opposition speaker here. Lisa, you talked about technology, which I thought was really insightful. Can you tell me why do you think that the future why do you think the future won't that technology basically, why do you think technology won't take over in the future? Why do you think we'll still need handwriting? Well, even if technology take over in the future, having known to write by your hand, it's also essential because if you don't, if you want more privacy, then you can write something down on a piece of paper and give it to a person or like you just want to write a diary and not type it on the computer. It's it's essential. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Renee. I guess speathat way. You just mention that bad bad children will know what you're doing an exam. How am of you are right on your handwriting is spso. How can you know other children? What's their writing when they write badly? Well, I said that if you write badly, this, anyone can't know. No one can know what you're writing and then no one can know what you're doing. So we have to improve our handwriting. Thank very much. And I think we have one more question from opposition jden. Yes, can you say a bit more that how does some some people use the technology to do bad things? Well, some well some people use technology like they stow someone's privacy and then stow your money in the bank like that so they can sort of siup and think, well, well done, Renee. That's fantastic. You held your own Renee every single time I read a question, Zoe, json and Mason, what an excellent team you've been over here. Okay, those votes for Renee, who believe Renee has convinced you more than the questions that were given over at the opposition. Yeah, I'll go Reno. Okay, those who think the opposition were able to win this one, hands up. Or Jaden thinks maybe this one oppositioned me. Oh, our first opposition sweep over here, but Renee weldone new held your ome. Okay? Doesn't matter if the opposition wins it, that's part of debating. But what was incredible there? Okay, every single time someone sent you a question you were able to answer, every single time you guys gave your speeches, you were able to give all your reasons and use your notes and use your cards. Then we, you were all on the opposition side. Each and every one of you have thought of a question, have rebuttle, have listened to that person's argument. This is exciting because we want more of this. We want to see this in your debates constantly. Well, no, no. How you said this. Now you said this. Now you said this and keep rebattling each other. Yeah. Weldon Renee Weldon Mason Weldon, jd, Weldon Zowe didn't have time for mine. We will. I'll do it at the top of next lesson. And well done, all of you. Absolutely incredible. Next week it is good to be famous. This one's going to be a good debate, a very good debate. Well done all. Fantastic work. Enjoy scribbling. I'll see you next time. Bye all. Bye bye.
