Oh, I could a second scene them and said it was the flag before you. Hi Zoe. Hey, we missed you last week, Chloe. It was so weird to have a new ear. And what were you up to last week, Louis? Hello, I'm classic. Oh, that's not what we like to hear. Oh, you were really missed, Chloe. You were really missed. We were like, where's Chloe? And we were like, I went to my Gever years, so you were really missed. Yeah. How have you felt a bit better now, Chloe, though? Yeah, feeling lots better, right? Well, hello, it's so nice to have you back with us. Mason, how are you today? I'm actually in a great mood because tomorrow we have a day off because it's parents day. You've got your parents day tomorrow. What are you going to do on your day off? Write homework. Is it a day off then, Mason? Is it a day off? Maybe you've got about your homework. So, e, how are you today? Yeah what have you been up to this week? Gonna stop. Nothing special this week. A normal week. Zowell guess up guys and ejhow you fine, you'll fine today. Have you had a good day? No. Things of my classmates are sick. Can't so they didn't go to school. Oh no, she didn't have your mates in school today. I used to hate that when you go and they won't be there. That's a rubbish feeling, isn't it? That Chloe wasn't here last week because she wasn't very well so maybe it's going round another bump of sickness got don't by did you make them sick? Was it you? Hi Renee. How are you? Yeah, having had a good week. Yeah, Yeah, so, so weak. Yeah, I like your jumper looks very warm. And guys, do you know what we have in the uk today? Do you know what's happening in the uk today? What do you think it could be? Do you think it could be? No, wait, no, it's no bad guys. It is snowing here in the uk. It's so bobut. There is snow. Snow has happened. Not enough yet. So that's what I need. I need this today. I've got my hot water bottle. Yes, we have got some snow. Fingers crossed I'll be able to take a picture of a snowman tomorrow. We're hoping. What's that? Jade? Have you got snow? No, it's really cold, zero degrees. Well, we're minus five in the country at the moment, which is unusual for the uk. We don't normally get this cold. So again, we'll have after mention you minus two at the moment of everyone wrawarm and well, welcome guys. I'm very excited to have you all with me today. We should be having a very good discussion and debate today. So we have been doing this already in our classes. You guys are amazing at using this, which is the rhetoric, how to use a rhetorical question to persuade people. We've been using this quite a lot. So here we have ancient ancient Greeks. Okay? They love debating. Did the Greeks, they had different supporters, remember? No tv, no radio, no social media. So how did you persuade people? All that's showing us your how cold it is. Jordan at that. Pretty cool. They had no way of giving information to people. So if you wanted to know something, you went to the town center and then a debate would happen. Okay, for the for the government. So it means it was big and it became big business. So how do we use language to persuade? So we need to understand wisdom. Okay, how do we convince you to vote for me? So rhetorical question. You have already been using this in our lessons. So let's have a look here. Chloe, Mason, Jaden, Zoe and Renee. What is a rhetorical question? What time is it? What time do you call this? Which one do you think is the rhetoric? Or we think it's what time is it? But if I said to you, what time of youprobably answer me when you yousay Oh, it's it's 12:00 or it's 8:00p.m.or 7:00p.m., which was the rhetorical question, the one that doesn't need an answer, what time do you call this? Someone's already pressed it. The rhetorical question is this one. Oh, boy, maybe let's not go too far. I didn't. Who's guilty? Who is it? So this one is the rhetorical question, okay? It doesn't need an answer. Teacher goes, what time do you call this? I don't want you to say it's twelve in this because I'm not asking you. I'm I'm using it because I'm annoyed. Okay? If I say, what time is it? Chloe, I'm I'm wanan answer, Yeah, I'm I'm genuinely asking. So our rhetorical question does not need an answer. I just want to make you think. Okay, so rtorical questions, for example, can you imagine the sea being full of plastic bags? I don't need you to say yes. I just need you to imagine it. You don't need to answer it. Yeah, we just got to, I'm just asking you to think about it. So I don't need you to say yes or no. I just want you to be like, can you imagine the sebeing full of plastic bags? Is that what you want for the next generation? You would like to see people suffer in the sea? No, exactly, Jaden. It's gonna to be like, no, no, no, no, no, exactly. Yes, jden. Did I just want to say no? Just want to say no. So but I don't need an answer from you in the audience. I just want you to be inside thinking, Oh no, I don't want that because I'm changing your mind. Okay? I'm thinking, I'm saying to you, can you imagine a world where our children have no education? Can you imagine having a country that doesn't feed its children? And obviously, the answer is no. I don't want that, do I? They usually use at a beginning of a speech to draw attention sion or engage the reader. Okay. Hey, look, these got our cards. She's got all those stccer cards ready for today. Look, and a life without homework sounds amazing, right? Actually, no. So sometimes not amazing is amazing. Yes, I will. It is so amazing. I can't believe it. I don't want it to. If you don't use paper, then no wood will be cut. See, starts a debate. Starts a discussion. So again, we can ask a question and then we can give the no, we can give the answer to emphasize the point. Can you imagine a life full of plastic in the sea? No, neither can I. So I can answer my own question. It's very powerful. So if I use this in a speech, I could have a life without homework. Sounds amazing, right? Actually no, what it means is future careers. You are not going to get ahead. All right? So it's a great way of opening our debate, okay? It's a great way of hooking you into my opinion. So they use to emphasize a point to emphasize what we think. Another example, how could you just need the sea turt or suffering from the plastic trap? Do we want this for our wildlife? And what's everyone's ansare going to be. No, so there also some rhetorical questions are used to make an audience feel bad. Yeah, we might put a question out there that doesn't need an answer simply because I want to make you feel bad in my speech. Yeah. Well, if the answer is no, why do you do it? Why do you allow this to happen? Okay. So it can be a great way of arguing. So we'll obviously see them to begin with, okay? We use things like do you really argue? Why not? Who can deny, who doesn't and then love. Okay, you can also have this one as well and I'm gonna take a screenshot of these because we I will want you to use a rhetorical question in your debate somewhere today and we're going to have a little practice. We're going to try and turn these statements into rhetorical questions. I can't see the dogs living a life without a home. Okay, jadden, can you make this into our rhetorical question? One that doesn't need an answer but does make me think. Can you imagine a dog living a life without a home? Perfect. Perfect. Jaden. That is perfect. Che, can you make a rhetorical with this one? 嗯。And you wait. I think you too, every difficult of to see you. So what can we do to say to, Oh, zobiy's got one gone. Zoe and Mason's got one as well. Okay. Zoe got, do you want to see the dogs living a life without. Again, Yeah, without a home. Yeah, perfect. Well done. So it has a perfect one. Well done, Mason. What one are you going to think of? Don't use to you, but so you already use it. And so we already got there before you. It would have been a good one to use. Chloe, what else can you think of? Would? You like to see dogs living without? Yeah. Would you like to see it? Yeah. Make them feel bad. Yeah. Anything else we could use Renee. We won't want to see dogs without home. Yeah. We wouldn't want to see dogs at our home, would we? No. So why do you do it? Yeah. That be a good way of getting in there and accusing your audience of not miss, of mistreating them. Perfect. Okay, let's have look at this one. I want to be a billionaire. How could we change this one into a rhetorical question? Oh, boy. Jden straight up. Yes. Do you want to be a millionaire? Do you want to be a millionaire? Excellent. Yes. Mason, can you imagine being a Oh, that's a good one. Could you imagine being a mid like start getting them to think about the lifestyle of it? Yes, that's a good one. To start a speech. Zoe, what were you gonna to say? You would want to be a million old you yes. Yes, exactly to you. Or you could even say, you don't want to be a millionaire, do you? And people would be cause I gonna to be a millionaire, gonna to have lots of money. Ning, yes, you can use lots of rugs. What's called reverse psychology. Yeah use a negative for a positive. All right. Who wouldn't want to be a millionaire? And this brings us nicely to some millionaires. Yes, Renee, if you've got one, if you've got one, Renee, please share. We wouldn't want to be a millionaire, would you? Yeah you wouldn't want to be a millionaire, would you? Well done. Excellent. Right. You're gonna to use those today in your debates. Okay, it's all right if you're gonna get lots of practice. So if you didn't manage to to come up with the one for that last one, you'll have lots of practice in our debates today. It brings us nicely get who a millionaires. Famous people have lots of money. In the uk, we have a lot of famous people, as I'm sure you do in your own countries. America and Britain really created famous tv, radio, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram. Lots of reasons why people are famous now, right? And we've got to think about it, is it good to be famous? And today's debate really does have two sides to this. I think I used to work in theatre and tv, and I met many famous people on my way. And some famous people love it. They love being famous. They love the attention, they love the cameras, they love the status, they love the money. But some famous people really struggle. Yeah, some people really struggle. They struggle with privacy. They struggle with telling the world about their their their life. They struggle to have a moment to themselves. Okay, with money, with fame, comes audience, comes opinion, comes judgment. And I have seen firsthand what can happen to famous people when they are not looked after. Okay. So today's debate really does have two sides to it. Yeah, but let's start off, if anyone wants to start off thinking about this, to start our discussion today. Okay, jden would like to start a discussion. Okay. Jdidn't, sure. I have a question, of course. Is there a middle side? I think there can be a middle side data den actually in this. I think there can be a partii mean when we do the main debate, we'll have to pick aside. But I think in all discujden, absolutely you can pick middle ground. Oh, okay. Okay, Mason, are you going to start our discussion off? Okay, you like so milike, when you are famous, like you go into a store like to buy like some chocolate or Candy to eat, but like when you go out like a lot of Filmer, like like like want to like talk to you and like I want to make you like present a speech and like he will like go crazy. I like I like also like when you I'll go back to home and famous people will have maybe we'll have a lot of money and Steeves and Oh, know where you live. I may on the report and they will steal you you're from okay, thank you, Mason for opening. Okay, who else who else is going to add to Mason's point? Anyone going to think about another angle? Yes, oe. If if you'll be famous, then many people will want to have your sign, like your name or many things, so you will have no time to rest and be very busy. Okay, too busy. Too busy. Okay. Anyone else? Sometimes and sometimes if you, if very many, knows you that you might be bullied or being bullied in the Internet. Oh well, Zoe, we call this trolling rolling on the Internet, what we call faceless people. Yes, perhaps that is a big problem, Renee. Well, when you famous, then like if you're a singer and you accidentally do something wrong, people will turn from love you to hate you maybe. So that will be, this would be a very bad thing to the famous people, and they will need to continue. They love you now. They hate you because they're judging you. Yeah and we can put this judgment. Daade has got something. I think he's putting this posted. Note him in the camera going jade in. 嗯。I can't see that jdid. I like the fact that you think I could try and see that, but I cannot see that you're gonna have to sing it for by jd judgment, the last judgment judyeah judge. Oh well, don't well. Calling oling heavy names no privacy judgment. That's the little big part, isn't it? No privacy, a kick kme. What do you think they would otherwise ze them? And then we really. Field Yeah they're going feel bad. So judgment again, go back to that duokay. But I'm got a minute guys. Right? We've we thought about all the negatives here, but there's got to be some good things about being famous, right? Yes. There we are, Renee. Thank you. Yes. You are mute, so we we can't hear. That will be a good honor to be famous. And if your mother or father is a famous people, then maybe on their next generation should be also a famous people. Okay, yes, Renee J didn't have a chat conversation. You might be renowned of all people. Then some of your muwords, some of your things like maybe your house or the things if you are senior, your the the song you have seen might be going to the next generation. The next generation people will also look at your renowned like a things and they might goggle it in the museum. Sometimes they could be famous for a lot longer than just what they're famous for. Ree, you were going to say something. For somebody that likes to be at the center of attention, they would like to be famous. And why do you think that, Renee? Why do you think being center of attention is what they're asking for? Because when you're famous, everyone will know you. And when they know you, they will try to copy the things you do, because it will make them wow, it will make them look. Good. And then when they and then when they know that be famous, can it can be that it can be like that. They will like to be famous too, because they can also be asked for autographs and pictures. Yeah do you think we can get addicted to that though? Do you think there are there are bad? What do you think, Chloe? Do you think that famous people can end up liking the attention too much? Can it be difficult then to have a normal life if you're always waiting for your picture to be taken? Yeah, Yeah, watch. Do it whole life and then it would make their life be very boring when you when you always wanted to have the photo graph. So this is really so I worked with, you won't know them, but I worked with two comedians that in 1965, they were very, very famous. When I worked with them, though, they were in their late eighties, early nineties of age, and they're not famous really anymore. But they really struggled with that. They struggled with the fact that no one was waiting around for a picture after the show. No one wanted their autographs anymore. No one was chanting their name. And you could see how sad it made them because it showed them that they were only famous for the time that they were famous. Yeah and that was very hard for them to deal with because no one was waiting for them anymore. No one cared if they were in the show or not in the show. But in the 19 1965, they were big yesterday. The public didn't let them go on living their normal life of being famous very well to jden, because it becomes normal for them, doesn't it? So actually, I would say they get a false sense of reality. That means they live in this famous bubble, this idea, they get free stuff. However, let's think away from people like Taylor Swift, ed sheeron at footballers. Let's think about William Shakespeare. Okay? Why might this be good to be famous? He's not alive anymore, but everyone knows who William Shakespeare is and all his plays. Why can we have historical people? They're famous, so why can that be a good thing? Why is someone like William Shakespeare perhaps a good thing? It shows that this country is well, it's is history is. Renee got her copppy as well. Look at your copy. Your copppies much fancier than mine. Renee minmine's quite boring, actually. It's a very big book. There is the bit, yes, Jay didn't can show history, can't it? And why can that be a good thing? Why can William Shakespeare being famous be a good thing? So this country is a playing football is extremely well and like that Yeah represents the country, represents the talent in the country. Yeah so the famous doesn't just mean footballers, it doesn't just mean you know famous singers. Beautiful. Thank you Renee. Bring that a beautiful book but it can be really old. Famous people. William Shakespeare, we've got flipeople like Alan Turing who created a created the first computer. Okay, he wasn't famous at the time, but is very famous now. And actually it's great that he's famous because we now have computers. We are now having an online class because of Alan turokay. So famous people can be good if they're not perhaps what I call hyper famous. Okay, Zoe, congratulations. Zobie has now just become famous, okay? She's a famous singer. So where you've now going to earn 3 million pounds a year and you get loads of free stuff, okay, so when you're going to shops now, Zoe, I'm going to give you lots and lots of free stuff. And why can this be a good thing? Why would that be a good thing for Zoe Mason? Just Yeah go jum just you wouldn't have to spend the money to find your own stuff. Mmm, Yeah so boy's getting it all for free. She's got a very good wage given her 3 million a year and now giving her loads of free stuff as well. So zohe's now gonna to have to not ask for anything Chloe, what's the problem with that though? What's gonna to be the issues for for Zoe being a famous pop star with lots of money and lots of freebies? He will be if he is not a as anymore after and she will have bad feelings or like why she is not famous anymore, gonna Yeah she might have some mental health, she might have sadness struggling to deal with what it's not to be famous. Yes jam here's a negative side. Some people will just think that, well, why can't I be better than this a singer? So maybe he this person will just use a gun and. Hello. So they could be they could be in danger. This Vihas happened. Presidents have been shot at over the years. They're famous. Yeah. What if you don't like a president's policy? Yeah. Presidents are famous. They could be her because you don't like what they're saying. This is a really good point, jden, because it's thinking deeper than just the top of the question. Yeah. So not just thinking on the surface, we're also now thinking about but presidents are famous or I might not like the fact you get free stuff and I might want to kill you. Yeah this there are people that get obsessed with a famous people. Okay, Mason has now become a famous football player. Well done Mason. You are now a famous football player around the world. You've known around the world and you, Mason, are gonna to be given 36 million pounds a year. That's a lot of money. 36 million pounds, okay? Or $25 million, okay? Right? But Mason has just had a match and he missed a goal that means he no longer won the World Cup. Okay, Mason, you've missed the goal. You've paid a lot of money and you've missed me. The most important goal of your life. Renee, what is the biggest problem for Mason now? He's paid 36 million a year. He is supposed to score this goal to win, and he loses. What's the problem? Well, he he will get bad feedback and be judged. He's going to be judged. And why is Mason going to be judged? What's the biggest problem Mason has for being judged? Because he missed that girl. You didn't score that goal. Yeah and why is he going to be judged for that? I play football. I didn't get the goal. Why am I not judfor that, Zoe? Why is Mason judged for it? Because he's because he missed the goal. But she's supposed to Shuten him, but she's doesn't put go the go. But Mr, so somebody might think he is not supposed to be famous and not even have not even like don't have the meaning. Like not good enough to be famous. He's not good enough to be famous. And also, Renee, I think you were saying this as well. What is it about also about the money that I've given him? I've given him 36 million to score this girl and he's not scored it. Why is that going? Of course, a bad negativity for faith, for his faith. If I have given him so much money for him to screw it and then he didn't scw it, the person who gave him the money would be disappointed. Excellent. Yeah, I'm not going to be disappointed him because Chloe, who's paying for Mason? Where does these famous people's money come from? Who's paying for these famous people, friend? Nope. The president's not paying for it. The government's not paying for him. Definitely not. Who's paying for me? Audience, audience, audience. Because Yeah what do we buy Chloe? What do we buy when we Yeah because what do I buy Chloe? To go and see Mason in his game, they need a ticket, any need ticket, then they need or they need to buy things like about th shirts, merchandise, tickets. I'm paying for Mason. I'm paying him as 36 million to score this goal. And so Mason's only famous because of me. What have you got there being judged? Famous people? Yeah, excellent, Renee. Yeah, these are wonderful. Ree, this is great to see you making these notes as we're going along. This is exactly what you're gonna need in your debate. Okay, well done. So Mason's football career is over because I've taken you to fame, Mason. I've given you 36 million. I've given you all this fame. You did score the girl. I now hate you. And the public is now tralling you, and therefore you are now depressed. All right, okay, one more to think about before I put you into your teams. And so we personnow just become famous, okay? Chloe is famous for humanitarian work, okay? Chloe is famous because she has been able to do a lot for charity. She's been able to raise 125 million for a local charity. And Chloe is now famous overnight. She is getting TikTok deals, she's getting Instagram deals, she's getting YouTube deals and she's helping the planet. Okay, people now are aware of animals and is aware of this charity and poments people. And why Mason is Chloe perhaps going to be a good thing? This why is this going to be a good thing that Chloe has now become famous? He because she didn't do anything bad, and I make the whole world better. And we have people like this, we have people called people like David attenburough. And if you've ever heard of him, David Attenborough is a famous person that has done a lot of work in nature and changing our planet. So he's done good things. Hey, what else, guys? What else makes Chloe a good famous? Why else is she going to be? It's going to be good that she is famous. She's done loads of charity work. She's done loads of stuff for animals. Why is it a good thing that Chloe is now famous? Everyone would know her that she doing something. Well, Yeah, she has educated people. Okay, so this is thing as well, isn't it? We do need perhaps some famous people. I suppose it's well done, Hanza, do you think we need to have famous people? Do you think it's important we have people who are famous? So Renee thinks, yes. Okay, show of hands if you think, no, we don't need famous people. We're good without them. What? Mason thinks that we're good without them. Chloe thinks good. What do you think, Jay? Oh, jade denso. We've got two people that think for having ving famous people. Mine's not made up. Nines not made up, but awinteresting. I suppose it comes down to it, doesn't it? There are some good famous people. There are some famous people. There are attention seekers. There are trolling. However, we do perhaps need people to campaign to make things better in the world. Okay? We are going to be using our skill from last week, which is you're not gonna to prepare a full speech, you're gonna to be making some notes ready for you to rebuttle each other. Hey, everybody made their notes already and maybe I'll just give you a few minutes, then we'll just leave it to a few today. Now it's incredible. And have you thought about both sides? I'm just going to make sure everybody's research both sides of this debate today. Yes, always. He's nodding. Did anybody only research one side? Mason. Okay. Mason, which side did you do just because you're going to have to be on that team? I'm. Not being famous not being famous. Okay, so you're we're going to start you in this position then okay, and we're going to start you with the fact that we're going to have Renee, Chloe and Zoe over on a good to be famous. We're gonna to have Jaden and Mason to start with not good to be famous. And then what we're going to do we'll have time I think because you've all lled in your notes. So we're just going to we're going to dive straight into it and there is going to be an uneven team. We're gonna to have a proper chair today, all right? So there is going to be an uneven team. That's okay. And what we're gonna to do then is we're gonna to have our first round of debating. We're gonna to call it the quick fire round of debating, which means you're gonna to speak for us, okay? And then what's going to happen? We're going to switch you around. If we've got time, we'll have another debate and we'll put you all on different teams. Mason, we might have to keep you over in that team. And which is fine, just means you're gonna have to debate more vieyou non famous. Yeah. So what we might do then is we might put ree over here, Jadin here and Chloe over here. And if we have time, we'll move everyone around again. And then we could have Renee here, we can have Zoe over here and we can have cloloby back over here. Okay, so we'll see how we do. All right. Right. But we're gonna to start this way where as yesterday then. Oh, sorry. Yes, Renee. You said you would do the debate on the top of this class. Me, so I think I do the debate. Yes, top of today's blatoday guy. Oh, I feel like we're being suncked in. Yes, Renee. What is it? Go on, durrenee. Feel free to say it. Would you prefer even teams? Is that we were asking me. Go on, zoom. Oh my my, I prefer even youprefer an even tea. Me too youprefer an even team. Okay, all right then, guys. All right, then we'll do even teams. I think that's a good idea. Okay. A few people I've been I've been a challenge ged into a debate today. That's okay though I'm not prepared we'll go for it right so you put some timers on this board so it's quick fire rerounds okay, so what will happen is each of you will get the minute and a half okay to speak so it's gonna to boom around quite quickly. Remember you need to listen to what the other person is saying because you are gonna have to rebuttle them. So for example, jden you going to be rebattling Zoe? Ree, you're rebattling Jaden. I am rebattling Renee. Chloe, you were rebattling me. And then Mason, you were rebattling Chloe. Okay, all right. Are we ready? Swiper today's debate. Thank right. Let's get ready. Let's all get ready. Let's shake it off. Right? Guys, here we go. Our first round of debating teams of Zoe, Renee and Chloe on the affirmative team, on the negative team for our first round is jden Lisa and may son. Okay, Zoe, please open our debate. Your one minute and a half starts now. Hello everybody. I think it is good to be famous in fall, and it will be a great honor to be famous. It could be a reward for the hard work you have in the past. Secondly, you may earn a lot of money. Writers and writers like can write books or draw books to sell them, so they could have money money. You could you could have to the next generations like your great grandmother to and PaaS it up to the and PaaS a long time onto to you and everyone and your family may be famous and sometimes being famous doesn't mean it's spoiling. It could be making the world better. And if you are famous, you could earn and reown your own statue that has on your face or neck and somebody likes the center of attention. So they might have center of attention as their so in conclusion, I think that it is good to be famous. Thank you very much. Speaker Zoe. Negative speaker Jaden, your time starts now. So guys, do you want to be famous? Would you so the answer I'm supporting the motion now is no. According to historic and biologist Martin S. Lemon, fame itself does not bring lasting happiness. The key way how to use fame after gaining it, if fais transformed into some kind of society, it can enhance happiness or something like that. Another expert is parbduring. Fame is a concentrated manifestation of cultural capital with and advantage is that it can quickly accumulate social resources ces and break class barriers. The risks are easily concerned ed by syvocals. So the third expert is that it's a psychologist long term thing it's likely to trigger if there's not to minit in the publics perspective of celebrities mostly label images rather than real individuals. And individuals are extremely from a rational perspective, fame is a high risk, high reward choice. The reward is reflected in the efficiency of resource aggression, like quickly obtaining investment, blah, blah, blah. So to summarize, my motion is to not to be famous. There are a lot of photographers getting your autograph. Thank you very much. Speaker Jaden, okay, we're back over at the affirmative time. Speaker Renee, your time starts now. Wow, I think it's good to be famous, because for some people, being for the sense of attention is what they want and what they need. When being famous, they will be in the center of attention, and there will be many people wanting for their autographs, and they will feel that they are honored and. And if you're famous, you must have a thing that you are famous for. If you are a singer, you must you must have a great singing skills. Then in that case, you you can. Let people enjoy themselves when they are tired, like when they are tired, they can go to your concerts and people can enjoy themselves. And and also if you are as you can get a lot of things freely, then you won't you wouldn't be worried about having having not having things that you need and you can enjoy your and you can enjoy your life. In conclusion, I think being famous is a good thing. Okay. Thank you very much, speaker Renee. We're going back over to the negative side. Now we have speaker Lisa us saw me a negative side. I believe that being famous is not a positive experience. I want to address, first of all, affirmative speaker Renee's first point that she just made in terms of this idea of having attention. Not all famous people want to get this kind of attention. And actually not all famous people should. There are many famous people now in 2025 that have simply become famous because they are on Instagram or TikTok. Last week I even, for example, watched a video where someone was famous for being angry. Their tagline, angry ginger, is just a series of rants online. This person now has access to free items, photographers and a luxury lifestyle that I'm not sure they're prepared for. Fame, unfortunately, brings with it many downsides. It brings negativity online. It can also mean that someone's famous quotes or someone's influence on our tvs or on our social media can be something we live our lives by, when these people may not have talent. And actually, they haven't always deserved to be there. 36 million for a footballer, 137 for a pop star. I do not believe that fame is good. Okay, negative speaker now. Chloe, your time starts now. My opinion is that there needs to be famous people, and it is good to be famous because they, some people would want to be different to the other people from the world. And Lisa said that some people do have talent and then they would be famous just by their like own thing that they have done. And then other people know it, and then they will say it again and again, then they will be famous. But if people had known that that people isn't really angry again for one time, would it be really good to tell them that he is not famous again about he is not really famous? So I think that some people will make the world better with them, so they might need to be famous and so they can let the world be better for all of you and me on the world. So this is my opinion. Thank you very much. Negative speaker Chloe, our final debate in this round is coming from negative speaker Mason. Negative speaker Mason, your time starts now. Hello, of course I want to ask you a question would do you want to become someone who is famous? In my opinion, I won't. First, lots of photographpher photographers want to talk to them, talk to you and like they will go, they will let you go crazy and you will have no privacy. I like why you go to do something. Also like some the great Steeves and robbers will try to slip into your house and like steael on all your juice or even like like stealike your phone and because like they hate you. Also sometimes if lots of people ignore you that like they can bully you by hand and violence and maybe can bulyou on verbal or like thyou online and like that to make you very sad and like, angry. Like also, if you are a famous person, the excellent, accidentally do something wrong, people like stop to honor you and hate you. People just judge you and you have lots of bad memories in your mind. Like also like finally, they may not be able to go, you you may not be able to go a day while without a photograph of others. Like they can make your lives very boring. Like some I think it is bad to become a famous person. Wow, gag. What's incredible? Jaden Mason, absolutely fantastic rhetorical questions were used in today's debate, and I have to say that was excellently done very quickly. Before we move on to our next challenge with this topic, has anyone got any rebutling questions that they would last asking Renee? Well, did you say that? Costing so much money for famous people isn't good, but not all famous people are bad. What about David anborough? What we're going to say. Mason you do you want to take that question? Pardon, pardon, pardon. So Renee's question is not all of we said that all famous people could be bad, but Renee is saying to us, but what about people like David atteninborough? What are you going to say to that? They all like it was Mason that brought it up. So Mason, why didn't you answer Renee? Like, so, so, so you know that people people always like all people. Like it's not just like poor good and pair bad. So like like in the future, maybe like if you like, have a scenario that David temple, like a film, film a video that has like his own hands, like on the video, I like all the people. Are he on tiktoor you to fight? Oh, Oh, I tease him or make fun of him. And maybe that will also be a smokay. Amazing. Thank you very much, ree jden. Do you still have your question just before we close this first round of debating yesterday? Yeah, you say that. Could you my question is, could you say more about hard work in the past? So that would be you, Chloe or zoalways going to answer it? Like I' M1 year smaller, you learn I'm like when you are a singer. So like when you're when you're younger than you, you you learn partly how to sing, then when you grow up, then you might be a singer if you sing gooly at the race. So I'm everybody will know you. Well done. Well done. And our time is wow. Well, first of all, we're gonna to have a little bit of rebuttal tennis twtoday, which means I'm gonna to swap your teams. We're gonna to swap over. But what I wanna say to all of you, just for a moment before I reveal the winner of this debate, and each one of you has brought a whole different like sort of improvement. You've taken these cards, for example, and you're now making these notes. You're making these notes before you come into class, which is amazing. Look how much more we can debate when you're prepared. That's amazing. But what's amazing to listen to is you're listening to each other now because you're asking these questions and you're able to rebattle each other, which is a fantastic way of debating. You're critically thinking, today's critical thinking conversations. We were thinking about all angles. We were thinking about different ideas. We were chucking some, perhaps some sort of underlying ideas. Things like, it can be dangerous to be famous. It's nice that you're using each other's ideas as well. This was excellent. And I can't express that enough on how each and every one of you has improved in today's debate. Today's debate winners for this round is going to Jaden and Mason. I'm not in this, by the way, jden and Mason. And the reason why there's a very big reason why they use that rhetorical question. Okay, so Weldon, Jaden and Mason, fantastic win. But ladies, Zoe, Renee, Chloe, you gave them a run for their money. I can tell you your questions were fantastic and each of you had very different ideas. Okay, right. We've got about four minutes left. So we are going to finish today so that we can hear some of the ideas on the other side. We are now going to play a little bit of rebuttal tennis. So now Zoe, Chloe and ree, you are now on the other side. Jaden Mason myself. And now on that we agree. So don't worry Mason, because I know you haven't quite planned this one, so it's gonna be a little bit adpoc. Anyway, we will have four minutes. Everyone get ready. I'm actually going to swap with you, Jaden, just because I'm going to start it off. Remember rebuttal tennis, we are not speaking for ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages and ages. You make a point, you PaaS it over. What I want you to do as well today is when you PaaS it over, PaaS it over to a person. So I will make a point and say to Chloe, Chloe does a point to Mason. Mason does a point to Zoe. Zoe does a point to Jaden. Jaden does appoint Renee. Okay. You want to get as much rebutttling in as you can in four minutes. Does that challenge sound like a good challenge? Okay, here we go. I'm going to stop first. Sed, I think being famous is a really good idea because it brings someone wealth, it brings them luxury, and it also brings them a good lifestyle. Chloe. I think that if they don't want really much, really, they want to have their own life, then what can they do with that? Name someone climbing. So I, that luxury is an important part about your life. Like you can use it to spend on a lot of things, and it will make your life improve and be better running. We don't need all of the things we can don't have every money. We can just have what we need to didn't Oh, being famous is significant things. This person talent could represent this person for and be extremely renowned. So you, I'm glad you have, you can make the difference of having much money and much fof me or being having your own life. It's good to have your own life more than having more juries. Amazing people, I will admire you. I guess you have a lot of money, like they will make you a very happy, like they will all like you. Person son doesn't really want to, doesn't want everyone to notice you, then how can it happen? Haith. Well, being famous is extremely essential. You don't need to spend all your money, millions, on buying other household subor projects. You can just go to store, and others will just give you them. Oh, ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding, what else? Renee, she stopped the Ted is halfway through. Well done. It always goes to the time, the end of the time or it goes to when someone can no longer rebuttle the other person. Excellent job. You have all done incredible work today. I'm so proud of all of you. Yeah, it is amazing to see you quick thinking as well. Which means we can do more of this. Okay? We can get more mini debates and we can get you thinking quicker. It's kind of like, I'm gonna to say this, you're gonna to say this, I'm gonna to say this, you're gonna to say this. You can only do that if you've done your research Yeah, because otherwise you don't know the topic ics. So always knowing these topics from both side is going to help you being able to switch teams to rebuttle to be quick thinking. I was extremely impressed with those with this round, but you'll just able, well, Yeah, this is it, ree, using these jden when you've got all these notes. I think I saw Chloe's notes today. I think it's all zoreason. I think it's all Mason's. You all have your way of making those notes for these lessons, and I want you to continue that because it's amazing and it's making your debating incredible. Ladies, I know Renee sort of Falon them, but ladies, I'm going to give you that round because you've are really able to give some excellent ideas. Jaden, I just want na pick out very quickly your expert opinions you're bringing to class are fantastic. So I do encourage others to bring some expert opinions in. Jden, you took that note on board and you brought it to class. So thank you very much for that. Jden Mason, Chloe, jzoe, rethere, guess what we'll do next week? Show. Look which one is better, knowing something of everything or knowing everything of something? So this means, should we know something about everything? So should we know something about science, MaaS, English, geography, history, or should we be really good at one thing? So should we be a fantastic musician, for example, or should we know some? Should we know lots? So knowing something of everything in the world, Oh Yeah, everything of something. Are you an expert in one field? Have a think. Think what this could be like Chloe I've also send I've got a little, I can send you something Chloe that will break that down for you so you can have a look at that later. Yeah, I'll send you a little thing to help you for this one. Yeah, I'll send it to you later. So you can see so even knowing something of everything so that you know something about everything in the world or just knowing one thing really, really well, which one would you prefer? Okay, Weldon, Chloe Weldon, cheating Weldon, Zoe Weldon, Renee Weldon Mason, have a wonderful rest of your week, guys. I'll see you next time. Well done. Bye.
