Hi all. Hi Zoe. How are you? Oh, I love your heart jumper. This is very nice here. I love it. I love hearsee. I just love hearts. I just love anything stupid hearts. You look gorgeous. Oh, hello. Hello. We've got some new person in class. How you? Claire? How are you? I'm fine. Thank you. I'm good. Thank you very much. Claire, what have you been up to this week? Have you been to school or have you been at clubs? And yes, you've been at some clubs and schools here. Well, welcome. Have you debated before, Claire? Have you done debating before? Or is this your first time? Oh, you're not sure? No, not sure. No, I haven't. That's okay. Claire, welcome. We're so pleased to have you with us and we'll talk you all the way through it. Claire? Yeah. Have you're by the end of today you will have debated. I can promise you that. Hi, Chloe. How are you today? Right? Yeah, we had a good week. Yes, that's good to hear. Mason, have you had a bad week? Work off. Actually, no. Oh, yay. We've had a good week this week. Hello, Renee. How are you today? You're fine. Renee is fine. Every week. Fine. I'm fine. Yeah, I'm fine. George. And how are you today? Not very good and not very bad having some work. Not too much homework, is it? Is it too much homework, George today? Did everyone have a nice good New Year's? Did anyone do anything for New Year's evil? Anyone celebrate it? Or are you waiting? Are you waiting for Chinese New year? A Chinese New year Chinese New year Yeah that we don't tend to celebrate that, but it's really big for you, isn't it? So I don't blame you, but we're in 2026. I can't quite believe it. Considering I was born in the 19 eighties, 2026 seems very, very far away now. Right. Well, it's say nice to have you all back with me today. We are doing persuasive language today. Claire, if there's anything you don't know, please put your hand up. And a lot of these guys will show examples, sort of bring your opinion, bring your critical thinking. Yeah, there's no right or wrong answer in this class claare. All right. And do feel free to just get involved in our debates. All right. There's time to prepare today as well. All right. But we're very excited to have you back. They're all lovely and very, very friendly. Okay, so we're looking at persuasive devices today. Okay. How might I persuade my audience to believe in me, George? How am I going to convince my audience? What techniques or things am I going to do to get them to listen to me? Readers and examples. That's a great option, isn't it? Examples? I love that. Yes. Let's actually give them an example of a situation. Love that. Okay, Mason, what else can I do to try and convince my audience? Experlavenus Oh Yeah. Expert opinions. Researching Yeah what David Attenborough said, or what the local hero said, or what the government said. Yeah, that's a great option, isn't it, Chloe? How else can I convince my audience? Use many like persuasive language. Use some great sentences and great words. We want good vocabulary. Yeah, I know. Do you think plastic should be banned? Yeah, in it it's a bit bad. It's not gonna convince me. Yes, it's terrible. It's destroying the planet. Yeah, that's I'm going to convince people, isn't it? Okay, Renee, can you think of another persuasive device? Have a think, corne, I think rzoe's got an idea. So have a little think. Grne, what do you think, Zoe? Evidence to support your answer? Yes, evidence. Yeah. Not just expert opinions, but maybe a story or evidence that you can bring to the class. Yeah, that's a great one. Renee, can you think of one? Don't worry if you can't. C, excellent. Someone's asked. Someone's asked. Chatgbt, or Alexa. Yeah, logic. Claire, that's gwe need logical answers. Can't just say I hate it because Yeah, we've got to think of logic. Perfect. Ree, can you think of anything? Let me put an example on the board for us, Renee. Isn't that persuasive language? It is persuasive language. So like rhetorical questions. Yeah. So you can be really specific on what it is. Yeah. So a rhetorical question maybe. Yeah, that could be a great device to be used. Well done all. Fantastic. All these are going to be in our debate today, right? We're going to get all of them. Well done. Okay. So persuasion, it's so important. If a debate doesn't sound convincing, you won't win. You might have the best point. Your agree or disagree to emotion is probably correct. But the other team could win because they were more convincing, even if we perhaps didn't agree with what they said, even if the audience didn't agree with them. They've made logic, they've had evidence. They've got persuasive language, rhetorical question, expert opinions, examples that I can't not have them win. So don't ever let another team win because we haven't used these kind of devices. All right, so persuasive starters with good reason. We strongly believe that, of course, without a doubt. Yeah and these are great ways of getting your persuasive language. Yeah it is imperative that we utterly condemn plastic. Obviously, we need to do more. Research suggests, is it really worth losing our planet over this? It's clear for us all to see. Evidence overwhelmingly shows. How could anyone possibly think this sx Yeah triangle has three sides. Crs have whiskers. People need water to survive. These are facts. They're not opinions. These are facts. The air, they are backed by scientific research, they are facts. But in opinion, a triangle has three sides. Zes of stetriangles are easy to draw. That's an opinion which needs to be backed up with evidence. That's a cute. Well, some people might think so. Some people won't. And we need to drink two to three liters of water each day. Some pit's not a fact. Okay, so let's have a look at these. I want you to think, are they fact or are they opinion? We should eat less meat. Fact or opinion? Opinion. A, well done. Yeah, it's definitely opinion. Adopting pets is better than buying pets. Fact or opinion? Opinion. Yeah, well done. An opinion. Yeah. 95% of people agreed it was the best pizza they had ever tasted. Fact or opinion? Oh, we think this is an opinion. Oh, okay, what do you think? Fact. It's got a percentage. So it must now be a fact. 85% of children believe homework should be abolished. You'll become a fact now. Yeah, you've got research, a statistic. Yeah. So also repetition. We didn't say repetition earlier. Cats are the best. They make great pets and are very friendly. Cats are the best. Yeah. So it's repeating your main point that can be really persuasive, an emotive language. How do you feel about it? Yeah. After we should adopt pets instead of buying one after Christmas. Every year there are thousands of abandoned puppies left to wander the streets. Scared and alone makes us feel sad. So we want to use this emotive language, okay, to make that feeling for the audience. We are going to use all of that in today's debate in is digital art just as worthy of regard as classical paintings? Guess what, guys, we've got a little video. So we're going have a look at the video. And then I want to hear all of your lovely opinions. Okay, here we go. Here are five differences between traditional art versus digital art. Let's start with traditional. Number one, it's tangible. Even though a drawing or a painting is two dimensional, you can feel the texture of the paper, canvas and paint. It is nothing better than a paintbrush to paper. This is honestly one of the best feelings ever, and I'm sure a lot of artists would agree. Also, mixing paint is truly a fun and magical experience. Number two, it doesn't rely on technology. When you're creating art, you don't have to worry about charging any devices. You can draw and paany time without any interruptions. You just need to right lighting. The only time you would need to use technology is when you need to scan your piece onto your computer. If your painting is too large to scan, you would need to use a camera to photograph it yourself. Number three, it creates a deep connection between the person and the artwork. The first thing I think about are going to museums, art shows and events. I love going to museums because it feels like I'm traveling to a different time in history. I can spend hours examining a particular painting and being fully enamored in every stroke. In detail, you get to learn about the story behind a painting and looking at it as if you're watching a film about it. When I look at a painting, I can imagine myself walking inside it and living life in that particular era. One of my favorite memories at a museum is when I went to Paris back in 2:12. I did go to the lavoire museum, and I saw the Mona Lisa painting up close. I thought about Leonardo da Vinci and how long it must have taken him to complete the painting. I wondered about his creative process and what his studio looked like. Through every painting you see at a museum or an art show, you get a little piece of the artist's soul. Number four, versatility. When you're creating an art piece, you're free to use a variety of materials to add more dimension. The act of making art with your own hands and meshing different mediums together creates a very unique experience. You can use found objects, recycle material or fabric. The possibilities are endless. Number five, it helps increase your problem solving skills. A great example of this is when you're painting on a large scale and you're painting a portrait or from real life, you'll need to take some time to make proper measurements and think about the right composition. When you work with your art materials, there's just deep connection between you and the medium. You learn how certain mediums work on different surfaces and how they react when used into conjunction with another medium. Now let's move on to digital art. There are a lot of things that I've found from creating digital illustrations. Number one, it's less waste. Creating digital illustrations means that you can create a huge body of work all in one device. It frees up so much space and adds less clutters to your home. Number two, extra tools. The great thing about digital art is that you're given so many amazing tools that you can't get with traditional art. There's an undo button, a plethora of brushes, you can duplicate layers, it's easier to find the color you want, and the list goes on and on. You have access to all these tools within seconds. All you have to do is tap, tap, tap. One of my favorite things about digital art is that I can easily add text when I use it. Urban sketch at coffee shops, and I would draw the menu. I used to use a White gel pen. It would be so annoying having to make layers of it to brighten the text. And when I would scan the image, it would look so messy. So I love writing on my iPad because you don't have to add so many layers, and it's easy and clean. Number three, instant shareability digital art allows you to instantly share your art all across your social media, and you will receive feedback from others within minutes. You can, of course, do this with your traditional art, but it might take a little longer. Number four, flexibility. Now these tie in with number two, but I love that you can move things around, resize an image within seconds, you can add layers, and you can erase without leaving a mark or indentation. Number five, you save money. Now, yes, you're spending money upfront on an iPad or tablet, which can get really expensive, but you'll be saving money in the long run. You don't have to go to the art store every few weeks or months to get more paper or paint, which will add up. Sure, you might have technical difficulties and might drop and break your tablet, but with extra care and protection, you won't have to worry about that too much. Another great thing is that you don't have to spend time and money on a scanner with digital art. All you have to do is save it onto your device and you don't have to worry much about color correction and removing dust. Okay, so it a lot of I think good points for and against, but let's now think from watching that what you guys thought. So Renee, let's start with you today. So what did you think? Having watched that all your own opinion, what do you think? Which one do you think is better? I'm not very sure because they are all good in some ways. Like that's traditional arts. You can paint it with your own hand without any use of technology and and creates maybe three dimensional great paintings that look like three dimensional with your own hand. But using technology to create digital art, we can just choose the exact color you want without. Doing too much, wasting too much time on mixing the paint. I think that's a really digum. And that's you can well, you will need to do it again if you you've done something wrong and can't correct too. I think that's the thing, isn't it? Like there's more corrections perhaps that can be done with digital art. But I suppose a part of me thinks, do we take away the fun of just being able to be messy and create like, is that what we want to do is like take away all the mess from it? I don't know. I mean, it's a good point there in A I like the fact that you've opened us up with two of those good, good reasons. Okay. And Zoe, what's your thoughts? I think that digital, digital art can be more Lee, but classical art has its own unique, and it can be very lively, so you can feel inside the art and enjoy doing an art like you could. You could do ly and then but you could enjoy all the fun inside Yeah and enjoy the fun of creating, I think something here, this word unique, Zoe, I think is a good thing to bring up actually. Do we take away that like when someone creates a classical painting that that's it, isn't it? They make a mistake or there's something slightly out or something that's not right that will remain in the painting and maybe that's what makes the art unique. If I make it on a digital lot and I make a mistake, I can just simply go back. Am I losing the uniqueness? Is it something that everyone can now do? So Yeah, we've got to think about that, haven't we? Okay, Mason, you had your hand up. What were you going to say? I gonna see I think digital art is like a worthy because because first, like digital art can like help us use less money. Like although if you sometimes like me to buy pad and it and takes a lot of money, I'm also like digital like so it's like very neat and like you can you Yeah you can like choose like the different layers and like the sort of like the texture instead of just like buying something or like making it on a paper. No, that's a big thing is buying materials. Have you got the right materials that you need for this particular project? That is a very, very good point. Yes, well done. Say well done, Mason and plan. What's your thoughts on this? What are you thinking? Classical paintings are usually in museums, so not everyone can see them easily. But digital art can be shared on online, on phones, computers, or even big digital shows. Team lab, a famous digital art group, makes shows where people can walk into the art. This makes art fun and accessible for everyone, which is a wonderful thing about digital art. Oh, this is a good point. It what make something accessible. Yes, we've got wow, you guys have definitely done some research on this this week. This is amazing. Yeah, we've got because I think both arguments is to be considered. I think they both have their good points and their bad points are like this clathis accessibility to our artwork. Yeah, well done. Okay, George, what are you thinking? I think digital art is as worthy of regard as classical paintings because first, it shares the same artiartist core as classical paintings. Artist trovalue comes from creativity, emotion and expression, not the materials. And and also, the digital art have a lot of good paintings. For example, like just like the van gostarry night, both kind of art can make people think, feel moved and see the world in new ways. Oh yes, conjured. And digital art also has some advantages. It has cost less money, even though by an by an digital thing is very expensive. But it will it will it will save money in a long term. I think this is this is another good point. Yeah this idea of what is creativity? Is it the materials and the way that we create it by hand? Or is it simply just someone's idea being put into a page? Years ago, digital art was rubbish. I mean, the programs they had for digital art was awful. But now you can pick different paintbrushes, different styles, different notions. So it does have its place. Doesn't it does have a place. Chloe, what do you think? I think it depends. Because like classical painting, it can show your skills. And then on the digital painting, you just needed, you don't need to just have to prepare the colors or just prepare all of the things that you need. So this is a like it's really fun that when you like know your skill and then it's really high, and then you would be like happy. And then when you draw, and it would be very convenient to draw anywhere, if you take a paper and a pencil or anything else, you don't need to actually mix the colors. You can actually just draw and whenever you want and what you see. So I think that it actually depends. I think I think this is going to be one of those debates, isn't it, where I'm not entirely sure we're going to come out with the with the the motion is going to come to you guys making those quotes and research, I think, because Yeah, you're right. That's a good point. Another good point, glowe. This idea that it's easy to move around, isn't it, with your supplies, if you want to paint a picture in the park, you've got to take all your paint with ya. Whereas if you had your digital notebook, you could draw and sketch anything, anywhere at any time. And you've only got one laptop to take with you two somewhere. So interesting. Yeah very interesting ideas you've both come have all come up with. Well done. Excellent. Right. Let's have a look at some of the things that they're suggesting here before I put you into groups. We're going to go to this, but Oh no, we don't have that slide on here today. So other things to consider from the video is things like different textures. Sometimes with art, we want to be able to feel the artwork. Yeah, you can't do that with a digital print. If I want to feel the rough stones of something, or maybe someone has put pebbles in for a pebble beach or someone's trying to make it look quite 3D, I'm not gonna na get that from digital art, okay? Some of the most famous artists in the world is that we can see what they've done with their brush strokes, and that can be something that's very interesting. We can tell a painting, by the way, that someone has used their hand to create a painting that's very unique, that's very, that's something very special that you can't replace in digital art. However, digital art is on the rise. Being able to share your artwork, being able to do logos, being able to do content, being able to sketch something at last minute can be very, very creative and something that we actually can end up doing quite quickly. Yeah. Okay, Mason, I'm going to pick you first. Mason, are you agreeing with today's motion or are you disagreeing with today's motion? Agree. You're gonna agree with today's disagree. Digital? No, I think digital eyes are better. Okay, so we're gonna say agree. Okay, so Renee, I don't think you've been able to choose which team for a while. Also, Renee, which team would you like to be on today? You reptors a. Today, Renee sitting firmly on the fence. Okay, Renee, I'll pop you there then we'll see where you end up. George, which team would you like to debate on today? Affirmative team? Oh, he's joining in at forces of Mason or going on the affirmative team over here. Okay, Chloe, are you agreeing or disagreeing? I also just sit on the fence because I can't really choose between. Okay, so you two will go wherever there's a space of do way you're gonna make our sort of decision. Really? Are you agreeing or disagreeing with our motion here today? Zowing you no, right. So he's on a note. She's disagree or you don't know either. I don't, right. Okay, let's make it. Zoe, Renee, Chloe are going go on the disagree team. You're going to fight for the classical paintings and then we're gonna to put Mason, George and hopefully Claire 's gonna to put back in. And we'll also have then Claire on the agree team. If Claire doesn't come back, Mason and George, I will fight on your team. Yes, Zoe. Do I mean that I think that classical painting is better? Yes. Yes. So you guys are saying classical painting. You're going to fight for the classical painting and George and Mason are going to fight for the digital. Yes. Like last like last time, like somebody didn't do the chair. So okay, maybe I have a chair if cladoesn't I think I think everyone in the class now is done chair. I think it was jade and that hadn't done the chair, but jden has has moved to a different class. You haven't done it either. So okay, right. Well, Yeah why don't we do that as well? So so we prepare but disagree, but let's maybe see hopefully Clabe back, but if not, then we'll pop you into the chair position, but you will get chance to chair Zoe if we don't do it today will definitely you'll be my top choice. Okay, but Yeah, that's a thank you Mason for reminding me. Okay, right. Let's get yourselves into your teams and into your breakout process and we will do two groups. Please regroup and then Oh, somehow it's done it for me perfectly. Off you go. Again, ang, just put any timer on in here. So have about ten minutes. We are the king. Okay, I love that we are the king of this debate today. All right. Oh, I if Mason's popped out for a second hopefully we'll be back to I'm just going check on the girls about now. Hey, how are we doing but a put ten minutes off Yeah. Okay, brilliant. Also remember to think about who's first 2s who's third as well. Yeah. So guys also think about who's second who's first they will lose and think about whose first sec I'm happy to take either either side. Yeah. So whoever it is that we're doing, all right, Mason, you there. Has an Internet stop. Oh, I don't think he's there, George. Something thinghappened. George, what things point are you thinking of? The creativity and some unique advantages. Oh Yeah that's great. Yeah unique advantages of it are go brilliant. Hopefully may still be back in a moment but George I know you've probably prepared so maybe just think about once Mason's back think about who's gonna to go first speaker who's gonna to go second. If you've got a speech prepared it might be best George you go first. We have we have prepared. Mason will go for amazing perfect. So Mason gonna go first in your team and then you're gonna to go second or you're gonna to go third, George. And teacher, teacher, I think I get out of the class. That's okay, my darling. So we've got sec. First speaker is going to be you, mace. And second speaker, George, or do you want me to go second? I can be the first. You want to be the first, second or third? Oh, it's dping. Oh, it's okay. You either one or okay, which which one do you think? Do you think you've got? I think George would go second. Okay. You're going to be the second. George is the first and I'll go third. No, no. Yes. Okay. So Mason, first, why why don't I go second and then why don't we make George? Because then you've got the last conclusion, which I think you'll be more prepared than me. So I think then George, if you go third and sticker and then I can do a shorter speech, Yeah so you guys can get more speech in yours. Okay, so I have to rebuttle. So I will be the rebutler of the group. So whatever that first speaker says on the disagree, then we can I can rebuttle them. Yeah so on that negative team, first speaker, I'll make some notes as they're speaking. Okay, Mason and George, have a chat then just make sure yours that your ideas are not crossing each other. Make sure you're talking about different things. Okay, I'm going to check on the girls. I'll be back. Hello, okay, how we doing? I know you don't want to give any secrets away, but you're okay. Got any questions? No. Do you know which order you're going to be speaking in? So who's going to be the first speaker? Oh, he's going first. Lois going first. Did gloe knows she was going first. Okay, so first speaker is going to be Chloe, who's going to be our second speaker. Renee is going to go second. And then Zoe, at the moment it's looking like you will chair first. So but we'll put you a third day that probably works really well and then we can have you chair in as well. Yeah. Okay, amazing. Right. Have you got your ideas together? Do you know what you're gonna to be talking about? Moment? Yeah, wait a minute. Yeah. Okay, just make sure you've got you're not talking about the same things together. Yeah make sure you've spoken to each other about what you're going to be talking about. Yeah. All right, I'll see you in a second. Okay, how are we doing? All right. Yeah, amazing. So it looks like Zoe will get a chance to chair this first rounds. We might even get two rounds in today. We'll see. But just to make you aware, so we will be convening in the other room in five minutes. Okay, make sure you're chatting to each other. I'll speech in a bit. We've got about two minutes. Okay. What if we got in here to Zoe? We're in an English class. Okay? If you've got your ideas, guys. Yeah. And you know what you're doing as a group? Yes. Yes. Okay, brilliant. How we do? What are we doing to this board? This doesn't look like preparation. This looks like scribbling. Are we ready? I feel like we might be ready for got time. Do this. Okay? Brilliant. Alright, just taking on you guys again. Someone said no. Was I left? Is anyone struggling? We've got one more minute before we come back together. Was everyone okay? Okay, Zoe, do you know what you're talking about? Yeah, perfect. Loe, are you ready? I think so. Okay. Brilliant. Renee, are you ready? I'm not sure. Okay. What do you want some help for, Nate? That's what we're here for and know if you've got any questions, anything that you're like Oh I'm not sure like we haven't chaabout it like you should say don't don't don't think that you can't not know. Are you struggling with the fact that you're like who you talking about? Right? Okay, so let's go through Zoe. So Zoe what are you gonna to be talking about first? What things have you chosen? Could you could the classical painting can be more unique and more lovely. And if you do a Maess, you can enjoy it. Yes, you could enjoy it. That will be a good point to make. Chloe, what's gonna be your point that you're making? It would have some fun if you just try to paint something that you can't and then you will enjoy the things that you paint and then it would be hard. And with. With the you needed to spend time on it and then you would know the skills of it and how to draw. Brilliant. Okay, amazing. So vernee thinking about what those two are gonna to talk about, what thing do you think then you would like to take. What about this one here in a talking about like the three dimensional your own hand, like you've got lots of different techniques and brushes. It's not as messy when you're doing digital paintings, having having been a long time before, the screen is harmful to your eyes. Yes. And classical paintings. Classiclassiyour paintings, you can enjoy the feeling of having done something by your own hands, but not digitally perfect. Renee, these are perfect. These are great options to use. Yeah, this is fantastic. And also, ree, like I said, you think about the fact that texture has a lot to do with artwork. Yeah, we wanna make sure that we can feel our work sometimes. And you're gonna to take that away if you make it digital. Yeah, we're gonna to take away all that creativity of it. Okay? It sounds like we've got a good option. So we've got Chloe, then we have ree, and then we have Zoe. So let's bring ourselves all back together. The four okay, hello hello hello hello hello. I think this is quite a difficult one today. There's lots to talk about but it's hard to to feel like you're on one side or the other. You know I think this can be this is a quite a difficult debate to do today, right? So let's get we're gonna have Chloe speaking first over here beautiful. And then we're gonna have Renee Zoe, would you like the opportunity to she would. So yes, I am. I'm itch you get the bits of chair. Brilliant. Zoe's gonna to chair this round. If we've got time then we'll do a second round but if not, Zoe's gonna chair for us today. That's amazing. And then if we've got some time, so we'll also hear your points as well because I'd like to still hear your debating points today. We've got George is our second speaker. Don't need me, actually, George and Mason for this round. And then we will have Mason as our first speaker on the affirmative team. Okay, zolet me put your stuff up for you here. So welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to today's debate off on the affirmative team is on the negative team is the speaking time is two minutes and 30s. Mason, your time starts now and then you're gonna do all those. And then at the end, zoeight, now it's time for the chair and audience member to vote. Okay, so webe strong. Once their time is over, stop them. Yeah. Okay, all zobie chair. Zoe, it's over to you. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to to today. Today's debate of, is digital art as worthy of regard as classical painting? On the affirmateam is Mason and George. On the negative team is Chloe and Renee. The speaking time is two and half, 30s. Listen, your time starts now. So hello, my name is Mason. I am going to support that the afteam. And I think that digital art is just as worthy of regardless as classipaintings. My first reason is that it takes less money. You just have to buy a cabin instead of buying paint brushes, paper to draw. And also it makes it makes the need at you just have you just have to choose the brushes, make layers and like choose the texture and write it down. Also you can you can also you can if you finish a painting like you can get on YouTube or like a Facebook and you can let other people like immerse your art like different social medias that going to a museum to appreciate. So so it will be be more easier to do that. Also digital arts are easy to use like when you need to because I papers like they are easy to broke it easy to break and like the brushes, like some brushes like are like not really good and it will also break. I like they are not really useful, but like in digital arts, like you can just choose the brushes like it's like not real. So I really won't break or like do anything. I will be like pretty useful. Alas, I also think that you can have a new experience on using this because like you can try on a computer or like a tablet to draw, to draw things like in digital ways. And like it will be quite fun in my opinion. So in some, I think, digital art, it's just worthy of red R as classical painting. Thank you. Knowing your time starts now. My opinion is that digital art is not just as worthy as the like the traditional art because first, I think. Classical art can give you challengers to be like pushing yourself to be better and better. I think that you need to do something better if you try. And the classical art is more challenging than digital art, right? You don't need to do something really. Like simplified and you don't need to just think of the colors that you need and then you just actually you use all of the paint to make a big like art painting, such as the oil painting. You need to have a lot of steps and then you will be you will be in this steps and then you be calm and meditated and then you will be happy. And not just digital art can make you fun. Classical art can have many different helpful points, such as it can just practice your hand and strategies that you can use it well. And if somebody don't know how to use the iPad and then don't know how to use the app, such as procreate and like different art apps, they can't actually do it really bulently like me at first. I can't really actually use the Broquet at first. And then my like my friend just told me how to use it. So it is very hard to do. Thank you, job. Your time starts now. Okay today I'm going to I'm going to fighting with is fighting for its digital art is as worthy of regard as classical paintings. First I'm going to against cloes clothe's opinions first che and Chloe says that some somebody don't know the instructions to use the digital art but a lot of apps give some instructions so you can you can use it fast. You can use it very fast. And also digital art has some advantages. First, first, digital art shares the same articore as classical paintings. Art value comes from creativity, emotion and impression, not the materials. Classical painters use brushes and oil paints to show their views of work. Digital artists use tablets and software to do the same. For example, digital works can also express deep feelings about life, nature or society, just like van gostarry night, both kind of art can make people think, feel moved and see the world in new ways. So to summarize, digital art is just as valuable as classical paintings. First, both digital art can share the same chcreativity and emotion. A digital art world can move you, can move you just just as much as oil painting. Second, digital art breaks old limits bring new fun forms, like interactive places that classical art can't match. So it's more as accessible. Anyone with a phone can see great digital art online. While many classical paintings are locked away in museums, some say digital art is easy to copy, but uniless come from ideas, not materials. Others says it lacks texture, but it has its own special beauty. Thank you, Renee. Your time starts now. My opinion is that classical painting is better than digital art. First, when you are doing digital hearyou need to take a long time to select colors, improve the painting and lots of more things to do when you're doing digital art. So. When you have a long time behind the screen, it is harmful to your eyes and therefore to your health. Also, doing this short needs a lot of time, because. Because some phones in technology now needs to charge every now and then, and that will take time. Also, classical painting is also doing classical painting can improve your feelings, because making paint the exact color that you want it to be takes takes time and pressure. You need to have patience. And once you got the right color, there's a sense of joy. Also. When you're finished work, you can compare it with your earlier ones and see if there's any improvements in something like dimensional. Like if you can use a two dipaper to create paintings that look like three dimensional. In conclusion, I think that classical painting is better than digital art, don't you think so? Now it's time for the chair and audience member to vote. Okay? So this is where me and Zoe are going to disappear very quickly. We will be back. Okay, Zoe, what do you think? Who do you think? Who's who's impressed you? Who didn't impressed you? Which team George has some good experts? Is the affirmative? Yeah. Why do you think the affirmative. George I'm like did a good riboots on Chloe and use his own opinion and evidence to support himself to rebut. Yes. And I think Mason opened the debate quite well, didn't he? I think he gave us a reason as why digital art could be exciting. So I think we can say that as well. And but I do think the girls did really well. I think they prepared their argument. I think they were good examples and I loved Renee's rhetorical question at the end. That was really good, wasn't it? That persuasive language? Okay, so we're gonna to go back and say the affirmative. You couldn't hear ree that's A I can make those comments for Renee and stuff for kzois that the difficulty is that could you not hear you can't hear ree properly. That makes sense. Okay, and that's not problem. Okay, right, let's go back and give our verdict. Okay, so we'll give our feedback. Alright, we're ready. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Hang on. And turn right back. Okay, Zoe, please give your verdict to the class. We baked the affirmative team because of a amawho, opened the debates quite well. And George, who rechloe with his own evidence and opinion. And well done, Mason. And but we did want to say, Chloe and Renee, what we did like about your debate was, Chloe, we really like that you're starting to put examples into your debate now, and you're really starting to give us like painters, a picture in what you're thinking. And I liked your personal experience with the iPad as well. I thought there was a really nice touch in your debate today. Renee, you are using persuasive language. And what's really nice is you ended that with a lovely rhetorical question. And Renee, it's something I've noticed in your debates over the last few weeks. You are much you use a lot of devices now. You repeat a lot of stuff and you've really thought about that. So ladies, we thought you done an amazing job. It's just George had had that quotation that he brought in that expert opinion and Mason really delivered that that sort of heartfelt speech about digital artwork. Well, then, and Zoe, well, it's a nice cheering. We've done everyone's chanow in a lesson, right? So we can start from scratch when we come back to chairing. Yeah. Okay, brilliant. So absolutely fantastic chair and you were very clear you kept to everyone on time Yeah and you made sure everybody knew he was speaking. I didn't have to do anything of that debate was and before we finish, Zoe, would you like to give us your speech that you had prepared for this debate? Do you want to? You don't have it if you don't feel like it was ready because you were too busy preparing for chaering. That's fine, Zoe. But if you do have your speech and youlike to deliver it, you are more than welcome. I don't want to. That's okay. That's not a problem because zodidn't Chaing is just as important to learn in this year and having your opinion and analysis on how others are delivering it. And your critical thinking today was fantastic because Zoe, without your contribution, some of these debates wouldn't have been as successful. Yeah. So always think about that. In debating, each person has a role to play in this. Waldon Goey, Waldon Renee, Waldon Zoe, Waldon Mason, Waldon George, your debates are getting better, much, much better. I love it. Has anyone seen though, ever on this slide, we should eat less meat? A wrong debate on this slide. Look, I don't know why that's as bad, isn't it? I don't know why it's in there. It sneaked its way in by accident. Right? Next week, if a gallery is on fire, which one will you save? A cat or a famous painting? That is going to be an interesting thing. That's a difficult question. That's that's a funny question as well, isn't it? And have fun with this one, guys. Thank buddy. I think I this, I think it depends if the cat is your pet. Oh, okay, Mason already is thinking about it and I think we you're going have to think about how much a painting costs and how much a cat means you'll have to think about maybe the emotional next to them to money you know, it's it's alive I'd save look, I'd save the dog but a painting is worth 25 to a million to 3 million to 8 million to 10 million pounds for a painting so Yeah it would be a lot amount of money wouldn't it? So you you goto give you 10 million pound painting up or your pet cow Oh I don't I don't know how I feel about this debate but Yeah I think what you would do which one is more important to you a stray cat or a 10 million pound gallery? Well if each painting costs a million and you have 800 paintings that could be upwards of a billion pounds, that's on fire. Oh, think about it. Think about it. Anyway, something for next week. George Rahe said, Chloe, Renee, have a wonderful week. You are amazing. Thank you so, so much. Bye all.
