Oh wow, it's so lovely to see you. What a lovely surprise to see so many happy faces. My name is Olivia and I can see all of your lovely names as well. Can you all give me a wave if you can hear me? Yeah, can you hear me? Lena can hear me. Grace can hear me. Jeremy can hear me. Claand queeny. Wow, that's fantastic. My camera is a little bit funny, so you can see my face, but it's a little bit broken, so hopefully you can still hear me. Okay though? Are you all good today? Can you show me on your faces and with your thumbs? Are you feeling happy? Do you feel good? Queen is happy. Lune is happy. Grace looks happy. Shane looks happy. It's lovely to see you. So we are going to spend our lesson today learning about one of my favorite animals. Does anyone know what the animal is that we're learning about today? If you put your hand up, do you know Luna? Do you know. Is it is Penguin, sweetheart. Well done. We are learning about penguins. Okay. Can you put your hands up if you like penguins? Oh yes, you have to be like penguins. Yeah, fantastic. Well, these are our focus animals for today. Does anyone know anything about penguins? Can you put your hand up if you know something about penguins? Jeremy, what do you know about penguins? Jeremy, do you know something about penguins? Do you want to share? That's okay. You don't have to. Shane, would you like to share something about penguins? Yeah, ahead. You like penguins? Oh, that's lovely. So does anyone, does anyone want to tell me something they know about penguins? Luna, what do you know about penguins? Yes. Cold. Oh, yes, that's a really good. Start, so Luna just said everyone that penguins live in cold places. Now, do you think penguins only live in cold places, or do you think they can live in hot places too? Also, Luna says they can live in cold and hot. Shane, what do you think? I think you think canguins are good, so do I. I love that saying. Queeny, what were you going to say? My name is in cold snow. Oh, they live in cold snow. Quethat's a lovely idea. Yes. So they Oh you think they only live in cold snow? Shall we have a look? We're going to learn lots about penguins today and we're gonna start by watching a video about penguins. So I'm just gonna turn your microphones off so you can hear it. Let's learn some more facts about penguins. Okay. Today, you will learn about the amazing animals called penguins. Did you know that penguins are birds? Like all birds, penguins are warm blooded, have beaks and feathers, and lay eggs. However, penguins cannot fly. Instead of wings, they have flippers, which makes them excellent swimmers. Look how they splash and dive and float. It seems they really enjoy spending time in water. Penguins are hunters. They hunt in the ocean and the main food is fish. They can also eat kll, squid and other small ocean creatures. Penguin's enemies at sea are larger predators, such as sharks, orcas, and sea heals. I wonder where penguins live. Do you think we can find them in a nearby forest or a park? Penguins live only in the southern hemisphere. Most of them live in Antarctica, which is an icy continent at the south pole. You can also see penguins on the coasts of Africa, Australia and South America. Can you describe a Penguin? Of course, all penguins have black backs and White bellies. Penguins have a thick layer of fat and tightly packed feathers, which makes it possible for them to live in very cold climates. When on the ground, they hop or waddle on their hind feet. Penguins can also lie on their stomachs and slide quickly on ice and snow. There are many types of banguins. They differ in sizes and by the black and White patterns on their heads. Some species of penguins are the little Penguin, the rock hopper Penguin, the Adeli Penguin, the African Penguin, the king Penguin and the emperor Penguin. Wow, they are all so different and so beautiful. Usually penguins live in huge colonies, up to several thousand animals in one place. This helps them protect themselves and their babies against predators and keep warm. In low temperatures, penguins form pears to lay eggs and take care of the chicks. The mother Penguin lays one or two eggs, and the two parents sit on the eggs in turns to keep them warm. The little ones are all covered in fur. I guess it will change to feathers as they grow up. Penguins are very friendly and curious animals. They have no fear of people and eagerly approach them. Okay. So there were lots of information there about penguins. Does anyone want to tell me something new they learned from that video? Does anyone want to tell me something that they learned from the video? Claire, would you like to go. What did you learn from the video, sweetheart? Or a they don't fly. Yes, they don't fly there. A birthat doesn't fly. Well done, Claire. Fantastic. Queenie, what did you want to share? Can swim in waters. Yeah, fantastic. They love to swim, don't they? That's fantastic. Luna, what did you learn from the video? I water and. Orhunare, fantastic. Yes, they are hunted by big predators like orkers. Well done, Grace. Did you have your hand up? Did you need to share something, Grace? Yes, they do like the water, don't they? What was that? Grace. Yeah, don't worry. Great. Don't worry, Grace, if you don't want to say anything, don't worry. Queenie, did you have something else you wanted to share? Anglive in the water together. They do live in a big group, don't they? Together? Yes. Fantastic. So there was lots of information there. And also, hello una. I saw you joined in the video. It's lovely to see you too. Does anyone else have anything they want to share from the video? Oh, Shane, have you got your hand up? Yes, they. Swim in the big sea. Fantastic. All Grace is your hand up. Do you want to say something? Yes, they are birds. Fantastic. And it's really funny, isn't it? Because normally we think the birds just fly in the sky. But penguins spend so much time in the sea, don't they? Oh wow. You all learned so much from that video. Oh Luna, do you have something else you wanted to say? Yeah, it's fantastic. They they use that. They're what looks like a wing. They use it to help them swim, don't they? Okay, so we have got five labels here for our Penguin. Can anyone put your hand up and can you tell me where the penguins eye is? Where is the Penguin's eye? Who wants to show me where the Penguin's eye is? Oh, Queenie, right. I'm going to give you the pen. Do you want to draw a line to where its eye is? Queeny, if you know how to do that. You got your pen. Oh, there's your pen. I can see it's there. Yep, there's the eye. And where is it on our Penguin? Can you draw a line to the penguins eye or the box that is showing the Penguin's eye? Yes, that one there is. Maybe if we can change your color next time, sweetie. But yes, that is the penguins eye. Well done. Right. Who can thinks they can tell me where the penguins beak is? What is a beak? What is a beak? Shane, would you like to have a go? You have a go, darling. What is a penguins beak? Yes, well done. There. Is this big fantastic. Okay, what about webbed feet? What does that mean? Webbed feet. Luna, would you like to have a go? Webbed feet. What does that mean? Yes, fantastic. Well done. Webto be. Yes, it's this one here, sweetie. But you're in the right space if you look the arrows pointing down there. Well done Luna. Fantastic feathers. Where are our penguins? Feathers? Who wants to share where their feathers are? Who hasn't had a go yet that would like a go? Grace. Would you like to have a go where the feathers are? Do you want to have a go? Grace? Feathers. Here's this word, feathers. Which one do you think is pointing to the feathers? Oh, okay. So you think this one, that's a good idea. So we have a look. That one is actually it's flipper so it's its little arm here. It's like a flipper and that means our feathers are the fluffy bit on their tummy. Okay but well done Grace for having a go. Fantastic. So these are the key words when you're labeling a Penguin and the different body parts. So you've got its I can you all if I turn your microphon, can you all say the words after me? So we've got I your ten can you say I? I fantastic. Here's the beak. Can you say benow? This one's a bit tricky. Webbed feet. Can you say webbed feet? Fantastic. Webbed feet. And can you say flipper? Fantastic. And can you all say feathers? Feathers, everyone. Fantastic. Right. I'm just turning your microphoff. Well, until you're not talking. While you're not talking, just so we can all hear everything. Now, who likes to read? Does anyone think they could read some information for us? Who likes to read things out loud or queeny's hand straight up? Can you start us off? Could you read this yellow box, please, Queenie? Friends spend ds most of their lives in the water. They and they can swim. They have slack, waterproof feathers which lie flat against their bodies, letting them glide through the water. What beautiful to reading. Thank you, queen. Okay, so penguins, even though they're birds, they spend most of their time in the water. They can swim expertly. Does anyone know what that means? How can they swim? Are they good at swimming or are they bad at swimming? Show me on your thumbs if you think they're good or bad at swimming. What do you think? Can you show me? Can you give me a thumbs up if you think they're good at swimming or a thumbs down if you think they're bad at swimming? Do you think penguins are good? Luna thinks they're good. Does anyone else have an idea? Claire thinks they're okay. She thinks they're good. Yeah. So do you think they're good or they're bad at swimming? What do we think? Shane thinks they're good. Lais giving me a thumb, the high five like a hands up. Yeah. So Yeah, expertly means they're really, really good at it. Okay? They are really, really good at swimming. And that is how they survive. That's how they survive. So because their bodies are designed to swim, they actually find it quite hard to move on the land. So they waddle. Has anyone seen penguins walking before? It's quite funny. They waddle around. They've got very little legs and very little feet while balancing with their wings. Okay, so where do penguins live? We talked a bit about this already, saying how penguins often live in cold places, but that's not the only places they live. Would anyone else like to read for me? If you put your hand up? If youlike to read something for me. So Queenie loves to read, or Luna, would you like to have a go? Could you read this slide for me, please? Luna? Of you only in pleasant, but there are some in types. In much Warner. Fantastic reading, una. Thank you so much. So yes, a lot of people would think that penguins only live in the cold places, but no, they live in really warm places as well. Can anyone name a country or a place where penguins live? Anyone remember from the video? Can anyone remember? Or Queenie, can you remember somewhere, darling? In the slow. Yes, in the snow, in a cold place. Fantastic, darling. Well, it's on. Does anyone else know anywhere, any name of a place where penguins might live? We're gonna have a look, so don't worry if you don't. Oh, Laura, do you have an idea what's fair? Do you have any idea? Sd, did you say hot places? Don't worry. I know it's scary to talk. Oh, Grace has got a cuddly Penguin. Look at that. Grace has got her own pet little Penguin. That's very cute. Yeah. Does anyone? Oh, Shane, do you have an idea? So does Luna. Wow. In the ocean. Oh, so they spend a lot of their time in the ocean. Thank you, sweetheart. That's a really big point. Yes, fantastic. Well, let's have a look. Let's look on our world map. Okay, here are some of the places bar penguins live. So the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Chile, Falkland Islands, Argentina, South Africa, Australia, this is called the South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands and Antarctica. So I think most of us are probably thinking about Antarctica when we think about penguins, but I actually have friends who live in South Africa, and they've sent me pictures of penguins on the beach, in the sun, in the sunshine. So it's funny. They like lots of different places, and also New Zealand. Okay. Has anyone been to any of these places? Has anyone maybe been to Australia or New Zealand? Has anyone been any of these places? No, that's okay. I haven't either. I haven't been to these places too. Now, what do you notice? Here is our world. This is a picture of our world d's map. What do you notice about where penguins live? Are they all over the world, or are they in a part of the world, the same sort of area in the world? Does anyone notice anything about where they live? Are they in the top of the world in the north, or do they tend to be in the bottom of the world, which is the south? Does anyone have an idea? Let's have a look. So almost all penguins live in the southern hemisphere, and that's what the bottom half of the world is called. Here is our line. I don't know if any of you have heard of the equator, which is an imaginary line that goes through our world. And almost all of them live below this. They live in the bottom half of the world. We all live in the northern hemisphere, in the top part of the world. Okay? This is where I am. Okay? So we all live in the top part of the world. And the penguins, most live in the bottom. Now we're going to learn about some different types of penguins now. Okay? Some different types. Does anyone want to read for me? Would anyone who hasn't read yet like to have a read? So Queenie definitely does. Oh, Claire, go ahead, darling. Yes please. 那回来了。Yep, so this is called your little blue Penguin. Can you say that little blue Penguin? Can you see it, Claire? Did you want to have a read? No, that's okay. Don't worry. Maybe if you want to read in a little bit, that's fine. Would anyone else like to read before I let Queeney haa go again? Does anyone else want to read? Anyone else? No. Okay, Queenie, go ahead. Could you read about the little blue Penguin for me? Little blue pengusmallest trip y of Penguin in the world little blue penguins are mostly not little blue penguins eat lines. And to and to be squad and crethey will die up to 800 times a day when looking for food at sea. Little blue penguins can only be found a in Australia. And new, new zaland. Amazing. Queenie. Thank you so much. So they are called little blue penguins, and they are the smallest type of penguins in the world. Does anyone know what the world nocturnal means? So lots of animals are nocturnal, and it's something to do with when they sleep and when they're awake. Does anyone know what that means? Any idea what it means? No, so when you are nocturnal, it means that you are asleep in the day and you are awake at night. Now, do you guys, can anyone tell me, do you go to sleep at night or do you go to sleep in the daytime? When do you go to sleep? Can you put your hands up? Do you go to sleep at night or in the daytime? Luna, when do you go to? Sleep nitime. Nighttime. Fantastic. Yes. And we are not like Penguin. Shane, what were you going to say? Sleep in you sleep in the night. Ghttime too. Yes, fantastic. I do too. I like to sleep in the night. Ghttime, fantastic. So penguins, it's very funny, these little blue penguins, when we are settling down to go to sleep, they're just waking up and they are gonna to start their day when we are sleeping at night. Okay, so that is what nocturnal means. Now these penguins have a funny name. They are called the rock hopper Penguin. Can you all say that for me? Rock hopper Penguin? Rock hopper Penguin. Fantastic, everyone. Rock hopper Penguin. Okay, now that's a bit of a funny name. Should we see where they get their name from? Look at this image here. Look at what they're doing. They're hopping, okay? So they get their name from the way they move. They jump or they hop rather than waddling like some other penguins. So they're hopping up and down. Yes. Queene, yes. Yeah. Were you going to say something? Did you have something to say, sweetie? Pelare, jumpthey are jumping, aren't they, darling? Yes, thank you, Claire. What were you going to say? Juyes, fantastic. They are jumping, aren't they? They are jumping rather than waddling. So rock hopper penguins can be found in some of these different places. Okay? They are jumping. Yeah, they look really funny, don't they? Jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump. So they might be found in Chile, the Falkland Islands, Antarctica, New Zealand. If you look, they've got these yellow bits of hair on them. They almost look like long eyelashes or eyebrows like we have. Okay, now these are called the Galapagos Penguin. Okay? Can you also say that Galapagos Penguin? Galapagos Penguin is fantastic. Okay? So they live on the Galapagos Islands near Ecuador. Here we go in South America. Now they are the only type of Penguin that live north of that line of the equator. They live just above it, okay? All of the other ones live below it. So they live in really small groups compared to other penguins species, which is types of penguins, really, really small groups. And they eat little fish, small fish like anchovies and sardines. Okay? A deli Penguin. Can you guys all say that word? A deli Penguin. Delpenguin fantastic, fantastic pe delpenguin, well done. Would anyone like to read about Adeli penguins? Would anyone like to read. No, that's okay. Oh, Queenie, would you like to read again? Sweetie, you go ahead. A deli Penguin, a deli penguins use rugs to build their nests and keep their eggs off the cold ground. However, a dilist can be sneaky to have to save hunting for rocks. They often steal them from others. Tendness, Oh my goodness. Thank you, Queenie. They are so cheeking so so that they don't have to go and find their own rocks. They go and steal some. They take some from other penguins. So they're a very cheeky type of Penguin. Okay? So these types of penguins can be found in Antarctica and it's nearby islands. Now Adelis may travel 180 miles round trip to find their food. So they travel a long way to get food. Must be hard and tiring. Okay, Luna, would you like to read about African penguins? African penguins get in African. They are the only penguins. The. Everyone there have a add some size like a donkey so they sound like a donkeys donkeys go huh? They make very funny noises. So what do you think? Thank you so much la and you can Carry on in a minute. Okay, what do you think and penguins will do to keep cool, okay? Because they like being in colder places. They might not like the hot very much and countries in Africa are very hot. What do you think they can do to make themselves cool down so they don't get too hot? What do you like to do when you get hot? What do you do when you get hot? Luna, what do you do when you get hurt? Okay, so you might take some warm clothes off. Yeah so penguins can't really take their clothes off, can they? What do you think, Queenie? What do you do when you get hot? When I was running, I get hot. So when you're running, you get hot. Yeah, that's that's something that will make you hot. So maybe they don't run around as much. That's a really good idea. Fantastic. Do any of you like to go swimming when you get hot? Yeah Yeah. So Luna does. Queenie does. Does anyone else like to swim when they get hot? Claire, I think, is nodding. Yeah. So one of the things they do, we're going to read about a couple of the things they do. Actually. Luna, can you Carry on reading here for me, please? Barpenin dibarto the house. They to keep them in the sea to keep. Their. Fish there can dive as deep as 114m to the food fantastiamazing reading ings. So they dig burrows, they dig big holes under the ground to lay their eggs, so to lay what their babies will come out of. And it keeps them safe and out of the hot sun. And then they're in the sea lots, just like we like to, we like to go swimming when we're hot. They also do the same now, our king penguins. What do you think this name tells us about penguins? These king penguins, do you think they're little? What do you think they're big? If their name is king Penguin, do you think they're big or little? What do you think, Claire? What do you think? Are they big or little? Not too sure. Maybe have a think in a minute. Grace, were you going to say? What do you think? Are they big or little? Do you think big? You think big? That's a good idea. Feel, Yeah, fantastic. Okay. Luna, what do you think? It's big? You think it's big. Amazing. Shane, what do you think? It's big? You think big too. Fantastic. Okay. And Queenie, what do you think? They are big and fat, fat and strong. I love that ideas and really good work are well done. And well done lunar as well. So yes, you are all correct. King penguins are the second largest penguins in the world. Okay? So they are big. So king penguins do not. They don't build nests, okay? Instead they keep their eggs warm. And look at what they do here. They balance it on top of their feet under some loose skin. So king Penguin parents take it in turn. So they, the mummy will do it, then the daddy will do it, then the mummy will do it, then the dadwill do it. They look after the eggs in this way. So underneath this big bit of skin, you might find some eggs that they're looking after. So king penguins live in Chile, the Falkland Island and Antarctica, so mostly really cold places as well. Now the biggest ever king Penguin colony, so a group of penguins, a big family of penguins is called a colony, had more than 500000 pairs of birds. So not like one of our other types of penguins, they like to have lots of them. Okay, so our emperor penguins, we had our king penguins. Now our emperor penguins, do you think our emperor penguins are bigger or smaller than our king Penguin or Shane? Straight away? What do you think? Bigger or smaller? Big guy, that's a good idea. Let's see. Luna, what do you think? Think it bigger. You think it's bigger. Love that idea. Great. Ace, have you got an idea? What do you think? Grace, Oh, you think smaller? That's a really interesting idea too. Thank you for ach. You think smaller? Okay, well, let's have a look. They are actually the biggest type of Penguin in the world. Okay? Now, these ones are what youmaybe think is quite a normal size for a normal look, a normal size for a Penguin. Okay? If you think about a Penguin, you maybe think about your emperor penguins. Claare, did you have something to share. Well, pegoary Oh, you think they're small? Thank you for sharing. They are actually bigger. Okay? So they are really, really big. Grace, did you want to say something? Yes, yes, good guy. They are bigger. Well done, sweetie. So how do you think these penguins keep warm? Antarctica is really, really, really cold. One of the coldest places in the whole world. Okay, how do you think these penguins keep warm? Does anyone have an idea how they might keep warm and not get cold? La, would you like to start us off? Let's go ahead. What do you think I think? What do they have? Yes, I think they. Have big feather. Lovely. I do. Yes, fantastic. So they will keep them nice and warm. Their feather is fantastic. Shane, what were you going to say? How do you think they keep warm? Ktheir feathers to keep warm. I like that's such a good idea that feathers fantastic. Queenie, what do you think? They lie together, they keep warm. Oh, my gosh, that's such a good idea. Yes. So they stay really close together. They can share the warmth with each other. They stand really, really close together. Clad. Are you putting your hand up, darling? Do you want to say clado? You want to say something? Your big Pandora, they are really big penguins here, so that size makes them keep warm. Fantastic. And queen, a little bit what you were saying about them actually being quite fat, they will have those layers as well to keep them warm. Okay, so Queenie, actually would you read the blue box for me about the fat? What you were saying earlier? They also have a thick flare of fat, which us helps to inlet their bodies. They can spend large amounts of time in cold water, water. So it is important of them. For then to stay warm. Beautiful reading. Thank you so much to me. Amazing. So emperor penguins, they have their chicks or their little babies. Luna, I think maybe was it you that had your cudley Penguin that looked a little bit like that? They have them during the Antarctic winter. So a lot of animals in in my country where I live, they have their babies in springtime when it's getting a bit warmer. They have their chickstryes look, Luna's Penguin looks really like one of these babies, doesn't it? If you have a look, Oh, and actually graces Penguin that looks quite like one of the babies as well. If we look at their little penguins, they look really like the little babies. They're very fluffy as well, which is a big clue that they're babies. Who would like to read this yellow box for me? Would anyone like to read this yellow box? Oh, yes, the big penguins and the small penguins. Thank you, darling. Would anyone like to read this, or should I read it? Oh, queenyou, go ahead, honey. Okay, thank you. Would you like to read the yellow box? Liking penguins and Paris don't build nest. Baby in perpenguins are cared for by both the mother and father. The female lays the the egg and the male keeps it warm, while the ale female hunfor food fantastic. Okay, that is wonderful. Okay. So they don't have the nest. It's very much up to the grown up penguins to look after the eggs and keep them warm. Okay? So after the egg has hatched, the emperor penguins take it in turns ans like we said before, to care for the chick. So the mummy will do it, then the daddy will do it. So to stop them from getting too cold, they will sit on their parents feet like this, and they're tucked in warm underneath their feathers. Okay, so let's watch another video now about other things the penguins parents do to look after their their babies. Okay, these tuxedo waddlers are emperor penguins. You may not know it, but these semi aquatic birds are some of the most dedicated parents in the animal kingdom. I mean, would you be willing to do what they do? Spend 65 days huddled here in this Penguin pack in temperatures that can drop to 112 degrees below zero, with winds of 50 miles an hour. Even Green Bay Packer football fans don't have it. This band. Fortunately, these big birds have evolved dense feathers and a thick layer of body fan. The remarkable thing is the one who incubates the egg in a brood pouches, dad. Meanwhile, mom goes off to sea looking for food. Even after the baby is hatched, it's dad who keeps the baby in the brood pouch. Good thing, too. Just two minutes in the elements and the chick would be A Garner. Once mom comes back, she and dad take turns heading out for more food. Since they aren't mammals, they can't feed their babies with milk. Instead, they have to make long, often arduous tracks to fishing holes where they can be faced with huge, hungry, up to 1000 hundred pound leopard Seils. Once the coast is clear of predators, the penguins dive deep and look up to find fish swimming just under the ice. They're impressive predators and equally impressive at evading predators. Then back at the rookery, the parent finds his own chip by voice recognition. Parent calls. And baby answers, once they're reunited, baby gets to chow down on regurgitated fish. As the baby grows up, mom and dad eventually hunt for its nourishment together. So remember that huge, seemingly anonymous group of emperor penguins? Well, groups like that are made up of committed parents working in tandem. Great parents, lucky kid. Okay, so a lot of animals in the wild maybe have their babies and then they don't really do much more to help them. They they kind of just leave them on their own or they leave them to fend for themselves. But penguins don't do that. They very much look after their babies. Does anyone know anything? Can you remember anything from the video that the penguins do to look after their babies? Can anyone remember anything that they do to look after them? Can they give their babies milk or do they have to find them some food? Shane, what were you going to say? They find their fish and feed their baby fantastic honey. That is exactly what they do. So they find the fish, and it's a little bit yucky. They find the fish. They actually eat it themselves. So they catch it and eat it, and then they kind of go back on the land, find their baby, and then almost throw up the fish into their baby's mouth. It's said regurgitated. That means it's been in their body, comes back out and they feed it to their baby. So it sounds yucky, but that's just what they do. That's how they feed their babies. Okay, so the emperor chicks are covered in a thick layer of downy feathers, so they look very fluffy to keep them warm as they grow, they cannot head out to swim with these feathers. But as they get older and stronger, they lose their baby feathers and they get their sleek, shiny, waterproof adult feathers. What does waterproof mean? Does anyone know what waterproof means? Luna, what does waterproof mean? We'll do it. Amazing. It won't get worth. Fantastic. Yet it doesn't make their bodies wet or cold. The water will just kind of go off it. You might have a waterproof coat or waterproof boot so that you don't get wet. Okay? So their feathers are very special. That means they're really, really good and very clever. So not only are they waterproof, but they have another important job. So their colors allow them to blend in with their surroundings. Why might the penguins want to hide? Why do you think the penguins might want to hide and not be seen. Does anyone know why do they need to hide into the in the rocks? Or what might they need to hide from? If anyone have an idea, Luna, what do you think they might need to hide from? I think they need to from there. There. Fantastic. They're predators. Yes, they don't want to get hunted, so they need to hide from the predators who might try and eat them. Okay? Now when they are swimming, the feathers stop them from being spotted or seen by animals that might hurt them. They don't want to be hurt. Okay, I want to give you all the pen. Now, can you guys put a tick on the Penguin, which is your favorite one? Okay. I'm going to give you all the pen. Can you put a tick on your favorite Penguin? Which one do you like the most? And maybe if you want to. So Queenie likes these ones here. Oh, Shane likes these ones. Think those are your king ones. Oh, which one is it? Clear red. Do you like these ones? Your hopper penguins or rock hopper penguins? Yeah. Or lunar likes I think that's the is that the little blue ones? Or they might be the South African ones. Actually. Claire likes your rock cpper ones. Jeremy, which ones do you like? And Grace, which ones do you like? Do you think Jeremy also likes the rock copper ones? Okay. Okay, right. I'm just going to turn your pen off now so that we can make sure we can still see the pictures. Would anyone like to tell me why they like that type of Penguin? Would anyone like to tell me why? Why is that your favorite type of Penguin? Luna, go ahead, darling. Why is that? Which one did you choose and why? Because it's so cute. I wonder if it might be because it's so cute. Fantastic. Queenie, would you like to tell me what which one's your favorite and why? Do you want to circle cle it again? Which one do you like and why do you like it? So you like your emperor one, and why is that one your favorite weeny? Have a big beoh. They have a big beak. I love that idea. Thank you, Shane. Which one is your favorite and why? I like pink, pink gubecause, I think this is there is very cute. Thank you for giving me such a full answer. Shane, that's fantastic. So Shane likes the king Penguin because she thinks they're very cute. Claire, which one do you like? You like the rock couple. Pper ones. I think pagrade, b small, B Green, two big, small work. Great. Oh, thank you for explaining all the pictures that you see. Clara, I love that thank you so much for telling me what you can see so there are lots of different types of penguins okay we're gonna play a little game now I want you if they are we're gonna I'm going to read out some questions okay if they are I want you to give me a thumbs up okay a thumbs up okay and if they are false which means they're wrong I want you to give me a thumbs down so or false so the first one penguins live only in cold temperatures do they only live in the cold? Is that is that false? What do you think? They only live in the cold they don't live anywhere warm. What do you think you can just show me my loves just show me say Luna says false okay? Grace, what do you think? Do you want to show me false or say right or wrong? What do you think, Luna said? Fse, queen, you don't need to put your hand up, darling. Just show me on the camera. What do you think? Is that right or wrong? False. Okay. You think false. Grace, what were you going to show me? What were you going to say? Is fse okay? Amazing, Jeremy, did you have your hand up? Wrong, fantastic answer. Okay, you guys. Alright, right? Well done. It is false. Okay? They like to live in hot and cold places. Okay. Next one, penguins eat fish. Is that or false? Is that right or wrong? Grace, what do you think? Do they eat? Fish, okay. Queenie, what do you think? Okay. Jeremy, what do you think? Yes, yes. Amazing. Luna, saying, yes. Shane, what do you think? Yes, yes, thank you, Claire. What do you think they eat? Food? Yay. And I can see that Luna said, yes. Well done everyone. It is. You are Penguin experts. Well done. Okay, penguins, this one's got some tricky words in it. So listen carefully. Penguins live live in the northern hemisphere. So that means the top, the world. Do you remember our world map? Do they live in the top, which is the northern hemisphere, or the bottom, which is the southern hemisphere? What do you guys think? Luna says? No. Luna says it's wrong. Who else has got an idea? Queenie says it's wrong. I can see Claire saying wrong. Jeremy, what do you think? Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. I love it. Shane, what do you think? Wrong, Grace, do you have an idea, sweetie? So do they live in the top of the world or the bottom of the world? Not sure. Don't worry. Popit was a really big one. Let's have a look. Well done, guys. It is false. They live in the southern hemisphere. Okay. Oh, this is an interesting one. And I don't know if we actually, I don't think we've read about this. And this will have to be a guess, I think. So penguins can hold their breath. So your breath is this. That's your breath. And when you go swimming, if you go underwater, we can't breathe underwater, so you have to hold your breath. Do you think penguins can hold their breath for about 20 minutes? Jeremy, what do you think? Yes or no? No, you think no. Okay, what do you think, Shane? Yes, you think yes, okay. Queenie thinks yes. Claire, what do you think? Do you think it's right or wrong? You are you nodding? You think they have? Oh, what was that, darling? You think they can't? Okay, Luna, what do you think? Can they hold their breath for about 20 minutes? Yeah I think you were nodding. Shall we have a look? They actually can. But you know what? I'm gonna to give you all a rewards because you all had a ghost and well done. So yes, they can hold their breath for 20 minutes. Oh, this is a good one. Or false, right or wrong, penguins spend most of their lives in water, all queeny straight away. Double thumbs up. Love that. Do you think penguins spend most of their lives in water? Shane, what do you think? Honey? Yes. You think? Yes. Jeremy, yes. Yeah. Okay. Grace, yes. Yes. Okay. Lovely. Claire, yes. Yes. And lunas, a thumbs up as well, shall we see? Well done. Full house. Fantastic. Wow, you guys are really, really Penguin experts now. Fantastic. So in lessons, it's really good to think about some keywords, okay, some keywords. And that can be a glossary where you look at the words and you look at their meaning. Okay, so your first word I want you to say the words after me. Can you say climate面气?So climate is the usual. Weather conditions in one area. So if it tends to be really cold, like Antarctica has a really cold, icy climate, okay, that it means the weather, it's what it's usually like, okay? Can you say this next word for me? Continent? Amazing reading, everyone. That is a large, solid area of land. So you guys live in the continent of Asia. I live in the continent of Europe. Is a big group of country, a big area of land? Okay, equator, that's that line. Okay? The imaginary circle, imaginary line around the earth that divides a planet in half. Can you also say the word equator? Wow, can anyone remember what nocturnal means? What does nocturnal mean? A clue is something where that is to do with when people or animals are awake. Luna, what does it mean? It means night animals. Night animals. I love that idea. Fantastic. Yes. Can you all say the word nocturnal? Nocturnal, nocturnal nomanal cturnal. Nocturnal. And the last one is a species. Can you say the word species, species, species, species? Fantastic. Wow. You guys are so good at reading. So that is a group of a certain type of animals. So we've looked at lots of different species of Penguin today. And you told me your favorite species of Penguin. So some of you like the species called emperor penguins, some of you like the species called rock hoopper penguins. Okay. So does anyone want to tell me very quickly something they learned today? Something they learned today? Does anyone want to tell me? I know that you've all learned lots because you did so well in the quiz Queene. You learned about penguins yet. Is there anything you can tell me about penguins? There are many kind of banguins. Thank you so much for a great fact. There are many types of penguins and Luna. I love penin eat. Fish fantastic Penguin and kill the fish and quill. Thank you, Shane. What were you going to say? Can gry take the fish and feed their babies. Oh my gosh, they do. Thank you so much. Right, guys, we are out of time, but I have absolutely loved teaching you today and hopefully I will see you on another course at some point. Okay, thank you so much. And I will hopefully see you soon. Well done everyone.
